Baby Forsyth Due in 9 Days

In true Duggar fashion, Joy-Anna and Austin Forsyth spent time at the auto auction today. Joy's due date is just nine days away!

Now that Joseph and Kendra Duggar have revealed that they're having a boy, fans are eager to know the gender of Baby Forsyth. Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo, due in July, say they are looking forward to finding out whether their baby will be a boy or girl very soon.

  1. Why does her name tag say Joy Duggar isn't she now Joy Forsyth. Add a minimum it should say joy Duggar Forsyth something is wrong here! Or did she never actually change her last name?

    1. It looks to me that this is from the auction. Maybe the Duggar family is registered there as Austin's tag says driver/guest and neither one of those words are his name. What does it matter anyway? Blessings and prayers to you Joy for a very safe and speedy and easy delivery. I am hoping it is a girl. Eileen

    2. I'll bet that's the way the Duggars' account is registered with that auction house. I'm surprised she agreed to wear anything that didn't say her current name.

    3. It's easier to find Joy under Duggar when searching for her. Her married name is mentioned.

    4. It's because she's at the auto auction. They have her as Duggar

    5. She has been there before so they probably had her name listed as Duggar and not Forsyth

  4. I think Joy is having a boy, and Jinger is having a girl. Are you guys going to do the whole "guess the gender and name" thing for Joys baby? The responses are always fun to read

    1. Her bump is really small but looks like she's having a girl by the shape of it. I have no idea about names though....

    2. You can't tell by the shape of a belly if a baby will be a boy or girl, the shape is determined by the mothers body type, and the position of the baby.

      Delete
    3. You may not be able to tell by the shape of the mothers stomach, but I've had 1 girl and 4 boys. My stomach looked like a big basketball with all four boys and totally different with my daughter.

  5. Oh no! Here comes the gossip! I think there is a very serious typo! Due date is beginning of March making her due in 19 days!
I think the owners of this blog will need to be careful about the comments. They will be harsh and hateful!

    1. Why do you think it's a "typo"? I don't believe the bloggers are that careless. They are using the due date Joy gave them.

      Delete
    2. No typo, she said she's due in 9 days. People just guessed March.

    3. Lets learn to math, shall we. She is due in Feb based on it being a honeymoon baby.

    4. That surprised me too. Hoping it's just a typo.

  7. I'm thinking possible C-section, baby looks transverse from that angle pic?

    1. You couldn't possibly know that for goodness sake.

      Delete
    2. Agreed. Her abdomen looks like my friend's did when her first was transverse. I hope she's getting very good professional obstetric care and advice.

      Delete
    3. It is possible to spot a transverse baby or a retroverted pregnancy.

      Delete
    4. They can turn the baby, one of my friends had a home birth with a transverse baby, but they flipped him before he was born.

      Delete
    5. Flipping a baby is risky, as the cord could be wrapped around the baby's neck and strangle the baby. That happened to one of the OB's in my practice. When my baby was breech, my own OB counseled against it for that reason.

      Delete
    6. Turning can be painful and can cause fetal distress. Thought it was only done in a medical setting, not at home during labor.

      Delete
    7. Turning comes with risks and should be done in a medical setting, not at home during labor.

      Delete
    8. 1:34, there are natural ways to turn a baby.

      Delete
    9. Even "naturally" turning a baby is risky- you can't exactly see if the cord may be wrapped around the baby's neck and could potentially strangle the baby in the process.

    1. I agree anon 6.52, the first thing I thought when I looked at her was how tired the poor girl looks, not surprising at this late stage & she has been quite large for a while now bless her. Wishing joy a safe delivery (hopefully in a hospital, judging by the size & the fact she is a first time mum hospital birth probably for the best, with all the medical support on hand incase it's needed). Baby Forsyth really is a honeymoon baby if indeed there is no typo error & it's due in 9 days, I know what that's like myself having conceived on my wedding night & then like joy having to spend months fielding questions from judgemental people about when I got pregnant & also like joy I carried very large & had a very visible bump from 3 months all that & I did not live my life in the public eye or come from a deeply religious family so I can only imagine how much harder it must have been for joy under those circumstances.

      Delete
    2. You can give birth to a large baby at home, just because it's so pushed in America that only hospital births are safe, does not make it true.

      Delete
    3. I know someone who had an almost 10lb baby at home😬 It's not impossible, don't know if I'd do it but if Joy wants to I say more power to her!

    4. both of my sisterinlaws startin showing their baby bumps early as 2 months of pregnancy by the time of 5 to 6 months of pregnancy looked were ready to pop was the same w/ my own sister

      Delete
    5. I agree with anon at 10.08, yes you can have a large baby at home but I would not recommend it with a first baby as you have no idea how you are going to dilate & Iv delivered hundreds of babies over my thirty years as a qualified nurse/midwife. I don't know how much hospital births are pushed in the states but I live in the uk & I advocate for any mum that has had previous normal non complicated deliveries to deliver at home if that's what they want, however I always feel with a first baby too many things can go wrong & if your at home & it happens the results can be catastrophic by the time you reach hospital & the outcome very sad indeed (having seen this a few times during my career with mum's delivering at home & having to be transferred to hospital). Joy does also look like she is having a big baby & that would also concern me about her delivering at home as a first time mum. I realise some people are very anti hospital for whatever reason but sometimes they are needed & ultimately all I want to see is a happy outcome for joy with a happy birthing experience, no emergency rushes to hospital due to complications & a very happy & healthy baby & mum.

      Delete
    6. I gave birth naturally 4 times... all big babies... 2 were 9lb 13oz, 1 9lb 9oz and 1 9lb 2oz! I gave birth in a hospital but was a small hospital and would have needed to be airlifted to a hospital 300km away had there been any complications! So kinda similar to a home birth all 4 times!

  10. That's a boy! Probably will have all boys, I'm betting.

      Delete
    2. You obviously have never seen someone pregnant with triplets😂😂

      Delete
    3. Her stomach is averaged sized now. Just because she showed early on doesn't mean she's having twins.

    4. have 3 family members who had single births their children at birth all weight 9 to 11lbs 20 to 24 inches long at birth each

      Delete
    6. She probably wouldn't have gone this long with twins the first time.

    7. A big factor in the size of your stomach is the amount of amniotic fluid you have, so you really can't tell if it's going to be a big baby by her stomach size.

      Delete
    8. I had babies 9lb 13oz, 9lb 9oz and 9lbs 2oz... all delivered naturally and based on belly measurements before I gave birth the doctor each time predicted i would have a small baby. It all depends how a baby is carried in the womb how big the belly will get! I still managed to put on over 30lbs each pregnancy!

With my first, I wasn't tired at all of being pregnant and my pregnancy was still very confortable days before giving birth at 39 weeks 5 days. Not the same thing for my second pregnancy because I had a kiddo to take care of.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Joy has spent months saying the baby was arriving in mid March, now it's due February 22. She seems very confused.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Well she probably was just approximating the due date at first. Knowing that most first time mothers are a week or two late, she will probably have her baby in March.

      Delete
    2. She's not confused, just prob chose to keep it a little more private until close to the date.

      Delete
    3. Yep, nothing adds up. If there have been speculations and rumors, Joy did nothing earlier to clear them up.

      Delete
    4. Sometimes the initial due date is wrong and your given a more exacting due date further along.

      Delete
    5. No, she hasn't.

      Delete
    6. When did Joy ever say the baby was due in March?

      Delete
    7. Its not uncommon to have the due date moved up. Has to do with fetal development and growth not date of conception. My middle girl was originally due 10/13 and they moved hers back to 10/28. She was born 9/26. Youngest girl was due 10/8 but came 8/31. Each pregnancy is different. I can't imagine why it should matter. People just enjoy fault finding.

      Delete
    8. Joy never said she was due in March

      Delete
  20. So she is due around Feb 20th. Does this put the rumors to rest? Do the dates add up?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. The dates add up. I got pregnant in May and had my son in February. People should not spread rumors especially guessing how pregnant someone is based upon what size they think the person should be. Every woman carries her baby individually. Some women show really early where others don’t show until the end.

      Delete
    2. She was married May 20th. The gestation period for humans is 280 days. Do your own math.

      Delete
    3. Yes, she conceived a week after her wedding

      Delete
    4. Feb 22nd, and yes that would mean she didn't conceive until a week after her wedding.

      Delete
    5. Yes, the dates add up. Pregnancy is 40 weeks from first day of last period. If she is due Feb. 22, it means that her last period started May 18th, and then she was most fertile two weeks later, around June 1st. She got married May 26th. This adds up perfectly.

      Delete
    6. The child was probably conceived on the wedding night or very soon after that. But why would that matter? Why even care if the dates add up? She and her husband are having a child soon. It's a private matter when the child was conceived.

      Delete
    7. What difference does it make in the long run? There will always be people who gossip. Even if they conceived the baby before they got married, it doesn't matter in the least to me.

      Delete
    8. Yes according to pregnancy planners she would hv conceived June 1 for 23 Feb due date. They got married 26 may.
Let's hope she finishes the nursery - my firstborn unexpectedly arrived a month early but fortunately had everything ready except the rainbow on the wall mural of Noah's ark unfinished /missing!

      Delete
    9. Seriously, whose business is this information? Not ours. Isn't it enough to say 'congratulations, you've chosen to bring a new life into this world and you will be wonderful parents'?? Does this child really NEED the judgement of the world upon its birth? Joy and Austin answer only to a higher power, not to the rest of us busybodies. I couldn't care less if she were 6 months pregnant when they married, or 6 days or the night of. I really couldn't. I don't know why others find it so important either.

      Delete
    10. a pregnancy is between 268 days and 280 days, depending how the doctor calculates the date. Based on the due date suggested, that puts Joy at 272 days, so thinking that yes, that should put rumors to rest. a baby is considered full term between 37 and 42 weeks... which is 259 to 294 days.... still, we had friends who had a honeymoon baby, and people were always counting backwards.... so maybe not....

      Delete
    11. The first two weeks of pregnancy start with the first day of last period, not ovulation. If you count backwards 38 weeks then Joy would have conceived the baby around the first of June. But if you count backwards to 40 weeks it would seem that she was pregnant when she got married. It’s a technicality that confuses a lot of people

      Delete
    12. Does it really matter if joy was pregnant before she got married, conceived on her wedding night or a week or so later, let's stop speculating/judging & all hope there is a happy healthy outcome to this pregnancy for a very young girl & her husband. I for one don't care one way or the other, things happen & they are happily married now let's leave it at that & hope this baby comes soon so we can all start commenting on that & not the date of conception.

      Delete
    13. Fuzzyferet, people shouldn't be spreading rumors about someone though, that's the problem.

      Delete
    14. I agree with Margaret and FuzzyFeret -- I'm not so sure all of us hens cackling about her due date and how it corresponds to her wedding date is a very good Christian witness. It's none of our business, except to wish them and their new baby well.

    1. Why does it matter?!?!? It is not any ones business. With all the speculation and nasty comments that have been directed at them, it is no wonder that they have remained silent about a due date until now.

      Delete
    2. Well, I think it's been established here in the above comments by the date calculators that her baby was conceived in wedlock, so there's really no reason to say that she has been "very mysterious about her due date."

  30. Her wedding date was May 26. If that was the date of conception, then her due date (according to a due date calculator) would be Feb 16. According to this post, her due date is Feb 22. She got pregnant on her honeymoon. Leave the poor girl alone.

    ReplyDelete
  31. If you look at her face, she looks like she has lost weight recently, not gained. There could be an obvious reason for this. I have a theory, but would be impolite to say. I just hope baby and mother are both happy and healthy, regardless of when the baby was born.

  34. Teenagers and young 20-somethings deserve to enjoy their youth and that special time when they are transitioning from children to young adults, without leaping into marriage, pregnancy, and parenthood. What 18-year-old knows what they want for the rest of their life? Pushing these young people into these lifelong commitments is abusive.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I agree with you for the most part. Abusive? That's a stretch. The family likely thinks that by marrying young, they save themselves from temptation and debauchery. And there will be the supporters who defend young marriage by saying it worked for them and it's a personal choice. For myself, the thought of having been married and having children at such a young age is incomprehensible. I'm glad my own kids were not in any hurry!

      Delete
    2. Some people meet the love of their lives as teenagers (or even younger!) and go on to be happily married the rest of their lives. Not everyone knows what they want to be when they're 18, but a number of people do. Also, you don't know that they were "pushed" into marriage by their parents. You don't know what went on in their homes, hearts, or lives. You don't know that they are not enjoying themselves in their marriages or the prospect of being parents. The word "abusive" is very strong language, and shouldn't be used in a context where you don't personally know what happened.

  35. Joy may or may not have been pregnant when she married, but the Duggars moving the wedding from October to May certainly gave rise to a great deal of speculation on the matter. Wishing her well and hope she stops going to auto auctions and gets needed rest.

    1. She would have had the baby by now if she was pregnant before hand. They used Joy Anna's birthday in the wedding registry to keep the date private, why would you purposefully get married on your birthday?

      Delete
    2. She was never going to get married in October. They said the whole time that October was just a place holder date. Duggars always have short engagements.

      Delete
    3. I don't care how pregnant you are, being unemployed is an easy life. Most people work full time and take care of their home and families on top of that.

      Delete
    4. The October date that was given was Joy's birthday. It was obviously a fake wedding date because they didn't want to share ahead of time. They didn't move their wedding, they simply didn't want the whole world to know until they were married. Yes, it's confusing, but I can't honestly imagine the world knowing when/where I'm getting married. Now, it's more common for the Duggars to keep the wedding dates secret until they have actually happened (think about Joe/Kendra and Jinger/Jeremy as well). Her due date lines up with a conception of around May 29/June 1. But really, is that any of our business? Sorry for the long reply, I feel very personally about Joy as she and I are the same age, got married a week apart, and are both pregnant. So yeah :)

      Delete
    5. Duggar wedding dates and places were never kept secret. One or the other of their 1000 invitees always posted something online ahead of time, even though they weren't supposed to. Details always leaked out. You can't invite that many people and expect a secret to stay a secret. "BTW, we'll be in Arkansas this weekend..." And there you go.

    3. Jinger didn’t get pregnant right away whether that was by choice or she decided to wait. Kendra and Anna are only Duggars by marriage, and they were able to get pregnant quickly.

      Delete
    4. It's a goal, perhaps their only goal. They practically have made it a competition to see how quickly they can announce a pregnancy.

      Delete
    5. Their ease in getting pregnant so quickly likely due to their youth. Women are more fertile at 18-24 but in our society women are encouraged to pursue their educations anecdotes careers which can sometimes put off motherhood a bit and conception becomes more difficult as they get older. Pros and cons to both.

  40. I have a feeling the entire birth story and exclusive photos are going to be sold to a supermarket checkout stand magazine, Us or People. Wait and see.

    4. People is owned by the same organization that owe TLC. An article on People could be part of their TLC contract and included in their TLC salary. By the way, they have already sold their story when they agreed to appear on the show.

  41. Praying for a safe and easy delivery.I hate the fact that people are judging Joy about her weight. As much as the tv and movies try to show cute tiny baby bumps the truth is not everyone has that.If she has a doctor monitoring her weight throughout the pregnancy that is what counts.I agree expectant mothers need to keep their weight in check because of health risks. But I think all the criticism of a young woman about her body is cruel and unnecessary. It is bullying. Best wishes to Joy and Austin I think the baby will be a boy and Jinger will have a girl.

  43. Any day now, Joy! I'm kind of hoping it's a girl, just to even out the numbers a bit, but either way is going to be such a blessing.

    1. Wikipedia is not a reliable source. Possibly the name is a leak, and possibly someone is just being dumb.
