Duggar Wedding Coming Soon!

Yesterday, we shared the details of the boating outing that Joseph Duggar and Kendra Caldwell hosted for their joint bachelor/bachelorette party.

When Joy-Anna Duggar married Austin Forsyth in May, they threw their bachelor/bachelorette party (a coed campout) just three weeks before the wedding. Joseph and Kendra have been engaged for nine weeks, and the average Duggar engagement is around 12 weeks, so we have to ask: When do you think Joe and Kendra will wed? Go ahead and post your predictions in the comments section.

  1. My guess is Saturday Sept 2nd, Labor Day weekend!

  2. Since Kendra's birthday is August 11, I'd say wedding Saturday Aug 12th or Saturday Aug 19th or Saturday Aug 26th, to keep it in her birthday month!

  3. I think they'll get married August-September. Congrats!!

  10. Can I just say that I appreciate that you allow for this kind of speculation on your blog, Lily and Ellie?

It's certainly fun to see what the stats are on engagements for the other couples, and to guess when Kendra and Joe will wed!

  11. August 11 for early choice, August 25 for late and choice I think it might be. But it could be the 18 too! Going with Fridays!

    1. I am a big fan of Little people big world, the Roloffs daughter Molly is getting married this saturday but has chosen to keep it small, intimate and private (not televised). I have so much respect for her and her fiance for doing this, can't see any of the Duggars doing that.

      Delete
    2. Good I really want to see their marriage

      Delete
    3. Good for Molly! She deserves the privacy she wants. It's quite another thing to demand "privacy" about your wedding because it's going to be shown on TV and sold to a magazine shortly afterwards.

      Delete
    4. Anonymous August 4, 2017 at 11:35 AM- Totally agreed! There's nothing "private" about a 1,000 + wedding. No one can be personally close to 1,000 people. How meaningful can that actually be? Then to sell it to a magazine for $$$ as "exclusive"? Shaking my head. That's not a scared occasion.

    1. That's what I was about to say. It was posted on this site actually!

      Delete
    2. Yeah, that is exactly what I was going to say.

      Delete
    3. I think they're doing the same as Joy did and using a random date, since they want to keep the actual wedding date private. Some commenters have called that "lying", but I think unfortunately it's just a necessity for them to keep from paparazzi, fans, or crazies crashing their special day.

      Delete
    4. The paparazzi still finds them. You can't invite 1000 people to your wedding and not expect some details to leak out in advance, intentionally or unintentionally.

      Delete
  15. My guess is either the last weekend in August or the first weekend in September. Whenever the wedding is I pray it is full of love and God's blessings.

  16. Oh man they are darling! I hope soon! I so enjoy this family!

  17. I'd like to know why they put an October date on their registry if they knew that was a falsehood. Sometimes it's OK to lie, if it involves something important to you? You can put your registry on a password-protected site and only give out the password to friends, if you want to keep the date a secret. Or better yet, do away with the registry and remove all rumors.

I have a feeling the invitations are already in the mail, so how they're going to once again swear 1000 guests to secrecy remains to be seen.

    1. Placeholder dates are not falsehoods.

      Delete
    2. I disagree, 4:13. It's telling a falsehood to purposely put the wrong date on your registry, to throw off the public. It sure isn't the truth!

      Delete
    3. Maybe they hadn't planned the date when they created the registry. Or maybe they just want to keep the actual date private.

      Delete
    4. If it isn't anyone's business to know something, tou have no oblight ion to tell them. Everyone knows that sometimes placeholding dates are used on registries. I'm sure pols can figure that out.

      Delete
    5. Joy did it too, what's the big deal. They probably told their guest they wanted to keep it a secret and good friends would abide by that.

  18. More guessing games--like we are children

    ReplyDelete

    1. Nothing to do with being a child, this is just something fun. Just like guessing when a baby will be born to a friend or co worker, and guessing weight and etc., its all in fun!

      Delete
    2. Only tbose who like to complain about fun is either a child or too old to appreciate the joy

    3. If guessing games aren't your thing, you don't have to participate. No need to insult those who enjoy guessing.

    1. That's a Monday. Also, they shouldn't get married on such a sad day. I know people who lost family that day.

      Delete
    2. So no one should do anything good on that date? Or create good memories on that date? Every day of every year will bring memories of loss for someone.

      Delete
    3. Anonymous August 2, 2017 at 9:29 AM- I understand what you mean. Our daughter was 3-months old at the time and as a new mom, I was particularly heart-broken for all of the children who lost one or both parents and all the parents who lost a child in the daycare there. Our daughter was baptized last year on Sept. 11th at the end of our Church service- it was a beautiful way to redeem the day somewhat.

      Delete
    4. Agree 4:15. The best thing we can do to honor all those innocents who died that awful day is to live life to the full and enjoy every day. Making new happy memories on that date can only be a good thing.

      Delete
    5. At Anonymous @ 4:15, I live 30 miles from NYC. I saw the smoke from my house. My town lost six people. My friend's dad never came home from work that day. Other friend lost one of his really good friends. I know several other people who would have been killed if they hadn't been running late or missed their trains. Many people who live in the DC and NYC areas use that day for reflection and service, not weddings and celebrations. It is still a very hard day for many.

    6. Almost everyone gets married on a Saturday, and I could be wrong, but I think the original poster was trying to start something.

    7. 10:12 AM -- I hear you. September 11 is a particularly dark day for our country and is still raw for many of us. I can understand why an American would avoid that date. I would never choose it.

    8. I think they might get married anytime between now and September we'll see long and patient they'll be before the pressure of waiting becomes too much

    1. Most likely not the 12th since Jim Bob is speaking at the men's conference August 9-12, and Kendra's Birthday is the 11th. However, the Duggar's are known to get married within a few days of their own Birthday(e.g. JB and Jessa). So, now I'm thinking the 19th.

    1. They always put the wrong date on the registry to throw people off.

    2. I don't think they throw people off!

    3. Whatever you call it its lying, and as christians they shouldn't knowingly do that. Maybe they should keep the registry private for friends and family only that way they wouldn't have to lie.

      Delete
    4. As Christians they shouldn't lie and they are strong Christians and I know the wouldn't lie! Give them more credit than that!

      Delete
    5. You shouldn't say they are lying.Whatever argument you can give, you have no proof.

      Delete
    6. It's not lying, it gives them a way to maintain some secrecy in regards to their wedding, without having fans show up. If you notice even with their large weddings, the date doesn't get leaked to the media.

      Delete
    7. Maybe they put the date on there before they decided the actual wedding date? And let's think about how it works on an Amazon wedding registry - a private registry is actually one that only you can see. A shared registry is one where people can only see it if they have the link. They can't put the link on the wedding invitation without being really tacky. They can't invite everyone they know because they know a LOT of people, and no doubt there are people (including fans) who want to bless them with a wedding gift but haven't been invited to the wedding. I know for a fact that there have been commenters here who wanted to send couples a gift from the registry in the past. There's really no good way to keep the true date a secret and still allow for a registry, given their unique circumstances.

  39. why getting married so fast, so young ?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I know, right? Kendra is the same age as some of my high school students. They all have plans for college and travel. I'm worried Kendra is holding herself back by settling down already.

      Delete
    2. Holding herself back from what??? Kendra, like her sister in laws, is brought up to marry young and have babies.

      Delete
    3. What I see is people imposing their ideas about what someone's future should hold. Getting married doesn't stop them from doing anything but being single. They can make their own choices and the sky is the limit.

      Delete
    4. But there's so much more to life than getting married and having babies. College, traveling, and having a career are so rewarding. I feel that everybody should do at least one of those things before settling down. Women are usually fertile well into their 30s. She can have children later. She is missing out in my opinion.

      Delete
    5. Maybe it's always been her heart's desire to get married and have babies, upbringing or not, in which case who are we to hold her back? That was always my dream, and it was never pushed on me by my parents.

      Delete
    6. If that's what she truly wants to do, then why shouldn't she?

      Delete
    7. Don't you think it's a big coincidence that every Duggar girl has the same heart's desire, to marry young and have babies right away?

      Delete
    8. Frankly, it's easier to "stay pure" if you get married quickly. The Duggar's themselves have said this on the record. But they use other terms like "Fast track".

      Delete
    9. If a person chooses to marry and have babies what's wrong with it just because you don't choose that doesn't make it wrong

      Delete
  40. Guessing Labor day weekend or before. Good luck to them!

  44. I'm guessing Sept 2, my birthday:)

    ReplyDelete
  45. I'm curious that since the weddings are so large (guest wise) how they get invitations out so quick and food prepared. Do they order from a catering company? Most weddings I've been to the couples take 6 months to a year to plan, mostly because they are working to save money.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. They usually only have finger foods and desserts, No catered dinners. Family and friends pitch it. I read somewhere the average cost of a duggar wedding was 10000-20000, which isn't a lot for the amount of people.

  46. August 12 or 19. I think that they put the October date on their registry because they had to put a date. I think that they don't want to make the date public because they don't want press there. I am excited for them to be getting married, and I hope that it's soon. So much better to work on staying pure by having short engagements. They have known each other a long time.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I think they might get married in Early September or October!!
I hope to See pics they are a great couple

  48. Sometime in August so they can show it for the season premiere of Counting On in September.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I know this is very fun and all, but since I personally know some of the Duggars and Caldwells, I don't think I will vote because of the constant idolization given to them. They are very sweet people- kind, personable, and joyful. It saddens me to see some websites give very false information about someone who is just like you or me.

Thank you Lilly and Ellie for giving kind and true and fun information on this blog! It is a breath of fresh air from all the trash in this world. <3

  54. even though it was mentioned that they'd like to have a fall wedding, i'd have to say either the 11th or 12th of august if they keep to 'duggar time', especially if they've already had their bachelor/bachelorette party.

    ReplyDelete
  55. The date is inconsequential. We all know the Duggars like to keep these occasions under wraps.

    ReplyDelete
  56. August 5th, that way she can share her birthday with her new husband on their honeymoon.

    ReplyDelete
  57. as usual, it's going to be a big secret so that they can sell more magazines or have more episodes of Counting on.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Many won't agree, but I would like to see some of the Duggar kids go to college or have some more time to be an adult before jumping into marriage. As one of them said on interview show last week that wanting to be more physical in their relationships makes for real short engagements. I hope no more Anna/Josh situations in the future.

    ReplyDelete
  59. They will marry before the season airs

    ReplyDelete
  60. While we are at it, we may as well guess the date the Dillards publicly address what happened when Samuelito was born.

  61. Whenever it is I plan to watch call congrats on your engagement

  62. I would like to think October. First off, they've mentioned a Fall wedding. Second,(selfishly...it's mine and my daughter's birthday month) Would make for a beautiful wedding time.
I can honestly see why they may have falsified their wedding registry. Like it or not, they are human😱. Even though they've placed themselves in the public' wye by having their lives broadcast, everyone and I mean everyone has a right to privacy and a "personal" life. Regardless of the date, I'm betond excited God has allowed their paths to cross. Best Wishes to them both as they become One.
