  3. just curious about the bridesmaids dresses. It looks like everyone just wore a random color that they already had. Looked very colorful. Jinger sure made a pretty bride though.

    1. With such a short notice they probably had to take the color that were available in their sizes!

    2. No I think it was planned...the colors duplicated...2 of each color.

    3. That they already had? They were the same dress in different colors.

    4. The dresses seemed to be too plain and just odd
      colors.

    5. No it looks like they're all the same dress, just a variety of fall-themed colors - which I think is a really cool idea!

  7. Yay for finally getting to see some more pictures! It was good to see what Michelle actually wore, the unique cake, bouquets, etc. Can't wait for the wedding!

  11. The train on that dress is too long for the size of that church. That dress needs a church on the order of the one in The Sound of Music, or where Princess Di got married. I'm surprised the dress designer or wedding coordinator didn't realize that.

Do any of the Duggar boys own a suit? They keep showing up at weddings in those goofy suspenders. Not very formal.

And please tell me that the blue package under Jim Bob's seat in the church wasn't those tapes and books that he gave Josh...

    1. You are super critical!

    2. That "Legos" talk and having to listen to the beginning of that "marriage advice" tape in the car with Josh & Anna were some of the worst moments ever on that show! And Jim Bob looked so happy to be explaining things that way. I was mortified, and embarrassed for Josh & Anna.

      Delete
    3. Why shouldn't they be the tapes & books given to Josh? Those things didn't have anything to do with Josh's immoral actions. That would be like saying I shouldn't give you a cookbook because someone else made a recipe from the cookbook and killed another person with food poisoning.

    4. I hate when opinions and statements like this are posted. Serves no purpose other than to bring others down.

    5. I couldn't get the video to load, either, but my daughter subscribes to People.

    6. Such a beautiful train! From what I could tell, some of the bridesmaids dresses kind of coordinated a little with her shoes. She was beautiful.

    7. My word! Having a bad day?

    8. Giving your kid a "how to" book as he's about to walk down the aisle is weird. Not to mention having it shown on TV!! Those are the kinds of things you talk about in private, long before "the big day." You don't just hand someone a book and say here, read this, and remember your old Legos. Which is what happened, on TV. And then they gave us a snippet of the tapes in the car as they left the church! Yikes. Privacy? Not on that episode!

    9. I think they were trying to advertise those books and tapes for their friend who wrote them. It was cringe-worthy, though.

  12. They are so precious :) Can't wait to watch the wedding!

    1. Yes, I thought her gown, the flowers, the cake etc. were truly lovely. Jinger has a very sophisticated and elegant taste.

    2. Really? Christmas lights strung on a wooden shipping pallet is sophisticated and elegant? Boys in suspenders? Burlap-wrapped favors? Not my definition of that level of taste.

  16. I don't think Derick should take his family and go back to the missions . It's one thing as a single man to go to places of danger if you want to, but when you have a wife and child, especially a child who can't make the decision on his own to go into harm, it's right to take them where could loose own life or parents or all their lives. There are plenty of places to do mission work in the United States. Jill cried when she talked about it on the show and you could hear the fear in her voice when she talked about the time they heard a loud noise and thought someone was breaking in so she had to take the Baby and hide in the bathroom, then not know if her husband would be killed or kidnapped leaving her and Baby alone. Or all could have been hurt. Sorry but don't think God would call you to subject your family to fear of being harmed in a dangerous place. Stay close to family and do local mission work.

    1. That's what God called them to do so He will provide and protect them. Matthew 28:19-20. They are obeying the Word of God!!!

    2. I so agree. If anything were to happen to any one of them, it simply would not be worth it.

    3. You are completely off subject! This is about Jingers wedding pictures... CONGRATS TO JINGER AND JEREMY! Your wedding was beautiful! Can't wait to see the whole thing on TV.

    5. The problem is that Jill willingly married Derick knowing that he was missions-minded, and Jill was raised to defer to her husband's authority. She should have thought all of this through before marriage.

    6. I agree but wrong place to post this is about Jingers wedding

    7. If God automatically keeps you safe if that is your calling, then why was Jill a nervous wreck the whole time?

    8. I lived for three years in a half million dollar house in a U.S. city and had a very similiar experience to Jill's. I had multiple car break-ins, shootings and knifings in my area, twice men tried to get into the car with me, plus two attempted house break-ins (while i was home). I was not on the mission field...that was my nice home in a beautiful, popular U.S. city. I grew up in very safe neighborhoods, so it was hard to get used to constantly being on guard...but I got stronger and my kids and I learned to be savvy. I'm sure if that's where the Dillards are meant to be, Jill will adjust even more. But my point is--they don't have to leave the U.S. to live in a dangerous area.

    9. 11:46 - WOW. What city? Chicago? I live in Los Angeles and have never experienced any of that. I'm so sorry and glad to hear you are safe. Yes, we all need to learn to be savvy.

  17. Re: the Dillards in a dangerous mission field. I ask again, what organization would place a young family in a daily dangerous situation? Who assigned them there? Are they there at Derick's desire? Is Jill overly sheltered that she doesn't know how to really live away from home that every noise scares her? I can't imagine living where there are random gunshots always going on? Is this the environment? Derick doesn't seem to care what Jill thinks or how she feels about this as he looked annoyed during that "recap" of Counting On. He was clearly annoyed with her and her griping. It didn't make me like Derick very much...although I don't know what real basis Jill has to hate it there. Either way, Israel is an innocent bystander in this and I think it's Derick's duty to HIS SON first to keep him safe. There are many ways to do God's work in a safer environment.

  18. Glad to see that Michele did wear a dress for the wedding. I'm a little concerned that the parents said Jinger was a great follower....why would you say that about your child? She's going to be in charge of how the household is run. There won't be anyone to follow.

  21. Beautiful bride and groom ! I love everything : the gown, the flowers, the hair, the shoes and the bridesmaids dresses (I like the idea of the same pattern with different colors). I'm just deceived by the fact that, once again, they sell the pictures to a magazine. Anyway, I wish them many years of happiness to come.

  26. I thought Jingers wedding dress was beautiful before but seeing a full photo shot above it is stunningly beautiful - I love it. Exquisite attention to detail from dress to flowers - that girl has elegant class.

  27. Jinger was gorgeous. Happy that she is able to move to Texas and have her own life with Jeremy. Don't care to see Jim Bob, especially, and the comment about "Jinger is a great follower" - Beautiful girl, beautiful wedding - let's just concentrate on the happy couple - not Jim Bob and Michelle. Hopefully, the money that "People" paid for the exclusive will go to the couple, not Jim Bob.
