'New' Episode Tonight

Today is Jessa and Ben Seewald's two-year wedding anniversary! We can hardly believe it has already been two years since we sat in the audience watching them tie the knot.

What better way to celebrate than to look back on the Seewalds' wedding (as well as Jill and Derick's)? We know y'all are sad that tonight's episode won't be "all-new," but we encourage you to tune in and enjoy the walk down memory lane.

Tuesday, November 1
7:30pm: The After Show (Recap)
8pm: Duggars at the Altar (NEW)

Take a look back at the Duggar daughter marriages. In two super-sized weddings, Jill and Jessa walked down the aisle just months apart, Jill with Derick and Jessa with Ben. Relive each ceremony in this new episode.

  1. Is there no imagination left to come up with new show scripts instead of rehashing the rehash?

  2. A flashback episode? How unique!

  3. I'm very happy for them both. I've also enjoyed watching them both develop into young wives, mother's and women.
I've watched the videos to many times like that evening shared around stale popcorn and flat pop trying to load the film.
Filling air time instead of sharing current events is wrong by TLC.
If anything give us a Cliff hanger leading to Jessa wedding.
TLC has stopped investing in the show and family. Very disappointed.

  5. I'll bet the ratings this week are in the basement and next week, they'll be in the sub-basement. Everyone will be watching election returns.

  6. I guess the next few days are going to be heavy on the Jessa-related topics. Today's her anniversary, Friday is her birthday, and Saturday is Spurgeon's birthday. Please try to balance it out with stuff about the rest of the family, so that we don't get "Jessa-ed" to death.

    1. Don't worry, there will be Jinger & Jeremy splashed on every blog and in every magazine in the next few days.

  7. This was literally a re-run.

  8. Nothing about tonight was new.

  9. I just love the recap shows! I hope they can do more of them. They could begin with recapping Jim Bob and Michelle's wedding, then Josh and Anna's courting, engagement and wedding, then on to Jill and Derrick's AGAIN, then Jessa and Ben's, etc etc.
Maybe they can air an episode in between of watching paint dry just to keep things exciting. Truly must see programming!

    2. I think the "watching paint dry" comment made it obvious that it was sarcasm...

  10. This was not a new episode. They simply re-ran yet again, old footage that we have seen a number of times. A waste.

  11. Wow - finally something the "haters" and the "lovers" can agree on!!!

  12. I dont like the fact that they ignore josh and anna. I know they've been through a lot, but now it looks like they don't even exist...

  13. Advertisers are paying to show re-runs as new episodes?

  14. What new episode? I didn't see a new episode last night.
BTW, I hope someone advised Jinger that she should shop for a wedding gown for the SEASON in which she will be wearing it and it's location for the weather...NOT the season she's shopping in for it.

  15. I really enjoyed seeing their weddings again. I am looking forward to seeing Jinger's wedding and being able to compare them.

  16. TLC ,you're losing viewers who won't tune in to see an hour of old footage...!!

  17. I don't want the show to be lost due to low ratings, so I hope they avoid doing so many recap episodes. We can go back and watch it all in our own time if we want to. Don't waste the new shows with old film. I love the family and their new stories.

  18. What's Josie doing? What's James doing? How are Anna's children doing? Are they happy to have their dad back? Any news on them would be appreciated. We've seen enough recaps to last a lifetime. Come on TLC. Give us something fresh before we just give up!

  19. How can TLC get away with calling it a new episode, all they did was rearrange the order of scenes we have already seen a hundred times, they can do better than that.Puuleeease take a page from the UP channel and The Bates, they will show u how it's done.

  20. I love the Duggars! But I am so tired of recap epidodes. I want to see new stuff. There's too much Jessa. I want to see more of the other kids. How is Joseph doing at Crown College? Is he going for a bachelor's degree there? I'm satisfied with what we've been told about John David. But I want to know more about Jana. She's 26, and doesn't appear to have her own living wage, or a paying job outside the home. What if marriage is not destined for her? Is she going to always have daddy financially support her into her 30's, 40's, etc.? What about Josiah? What about joy?

  21. I enjoyed the recap.

  22. I'm getting so sick of the constant recaps of Jill and Derick's and Jessa and Ben's courtships/weddings. This wasn't a long time ago, most of us have seen this already. I'd rather have no episode at all than have to fast forward through an hour of something I've already watched.
