Jinger and Jeremy's Unity Song

Were you able to watch last week's wedding episode? If not, it's available for purchase on iTunes and Amazon. If you tuned in, you heard the beautiful rendition of "Come Thou Fount" that was playing over the church speakers as Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo lit their unity candle. (They ran into a small roadblock when the two smaller candles turned out to be stuck to the display, so they grabbed a nearby lighter.)

Who performed the song, you ask? It's an old hymn written by Robert Robinson, a 22-year-old man who lost his father as a young child and lived a dark teenage life, in 1757. (The lyrics have changed over the years, but you can find the original words on my blog, NashvilleWife.com.)

The rendition played at Jinger and Jeremy's wedding was arranged by Page CXVI, Jeremy's favorite band. They performed it live.

In case you want to listen to the song again, we have embedded the official music video below. Visit PageCXVI.com to purchase the band's albums. ("Come Thou Fount is found on the "Hymns" CD.)

    2. I would like to hear more about the wedding. If you don't care to hear more, then skip reading about it. Some of us still want more details.

    3. I love to hear about the wedding still. Especially cause I wanted to know about this song.

    4. They haven't even been married a month, grumpy. And clearly they said people were asking them (bloggers) about it. As for Jill, I think they said if they got pregnant that would change them going back or when they would. That's what I gathered out of the last episode.

    7. I could watch the wedding over & over just to hear the song. He also had the song playing when he proposed to Jinger. I am very happy for for them & have been a fan of the Duggar family for a very long time.

    1. What does it matter who paid for it? However since, as the article says, they are Jeremy's favorite band, maybe they performed as a favor to him.

    2. So what if they did. Is it against the law?

    3. The band also could have donated their time because they are friends or because it would give them greater exposure to a larger audience via the show. Or they could have been paid. There's multiple options and we really don't know all those details.

    5. Oh I know, 9:37! So many deserving families in need out there, but TLC has the good taste to continually choose this one. God works in mysterious ways!

    6. Does anyone know the song that the congregation sang during the ceremony? It was really beautiful. I don’t think it was the same as, “Come Thou Fount.” Thanks for the help.

    7. The song the congregation sang was How Deep the Father's Love For Us !

    10. Seriously people? Honestly they should be able to talk about their wedding as much as they want. They do not have to please you all. Just as long as they are happy. So stop the negativity and criticism today's world has enough of that.

  3. thank you. that answered my question!

  4. You can't tell them what to post. If you don't want to read a particular post then don't read it. Why waste your time reading and commenting about it. Just skip that post. Other people don't mind reading them. So bossy!

  5. Didn't realize they paid someone. The music was nice but not easy to hear.
The ceremony was alright but I wouldn't purchase music like it was a Broadway musical. It wasn't a family ceremony.
    Im not fond of commercialization.

  6. If you don't like them constantly posting about the wedding then don't read it or move on they can post as much as they want. :)

  11. @anonymous-move on. Where some don't like it, such as yourself, others love all of the info about the Duggars.

    1. It's very rude to tell another poster to "move on". It's amazing how many who seem to love the Duggars for their values are so rude to other posters.

  17. What was the name of the song for jingers walk down the aisle. It was beautiful!

  18. The song was beautiful for the unity candle for Jeremy and Jinger. Not sure if anyone notice. But when Jeremy and Jinger were exchanging rings, I think they were both having trouble getting their wedding bands put on their fingers. Did anyone else notice that during the wedding episode? What kind of wedding band did Jinger get to match her engagement ring? The camera try to capture it during the ceremony. But it was hard to see.

  19. That was very beautiful, thank you for posting the video. I think the song was a lovely moment in their wedding video, too.

  22. If you don't want to hear about the wedding you don't have to read the articles. I'm actually interested because we didn't get the whole wedding process like we did for the other kids. It was a beautiful wedding and they can do as they wish to make it whatever they want because everyone has a right to make their wedding day amazing and unforgettable. :)

  24. I still don't understand how the Duggars can work with
People Mag. Most of the articles are bad and I would
be embarrassed to have it on my coffee table. They do
appear to have become gold diggers, doing everything
on TLC's dime. People who are not Christians should
know that most Christians work hard and do not
    live extravagant life styles.

    1. I will agree that the majority of articles and images in People magazine are less than Christ-like. People magazine began with a measure of integrity, but their actual journalistic reporting has quickly deteriorated over the years into more of a trashy rag magazine-overwhelmingly featuring people whose lives are falling apart and sclantily clad. It's not in my home for the same reasons.

    2. If they would offer you the money the duggars get for doing this, Christian or not you'll jump into it with no second thought so..... don't hate!! I respect and admire the duggars many others make a living from shows and magazines if they've been blessed financially with this show why not take it, I know I would 😊

      Delete
    3. 100% sure that if they would offer you that kind of money for a picture you wouldn't say no 😜

    4. Not only is People mostly trash, but TLC is at the bottom of the barrel, too. Anything for money!

    5. Oh boy, the Duggars get it from both sides, either to Christian or not Christian enough, no winning here I see.I guess middle of the road is best, not to radical on either side, less judgemental that's for sure...peace and blessings🤔

  31. I'm so tired of the use of the word 'hate'. Anytime someone has an opinion that someone else doesn't agree with or like, they say "don't hate". Ughhhh!!!! Just because someone has a different opinion than you DOES NOT MEAN THEY HATE!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Amen! That is such a juvenile thing to say. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and if the moderators post it, they must not think there is hate in the response. Really sad that Christians can be so harsh towards anyone who doesn't gush over everything the Duggars do.

      Delete
    2. Good point. It's very popular today to say somebody else is a "hater" just because they don't believe the same thing you do (or a "-phobe").

  32. Thank you so much for posting this information and video! I haven't been able to bring myself to erase the wedding episode just because I loved this arrangment of "Come thou Fount" so much!
