Jinger Meets Jeremy's Soccer Pal

"Jeremy is getting very excited as the day approaches. He's remaining very calm so Jinger won't catch on. I don't think she has any clue what's coming."
-Jessa Seewald

Today is the day! Jeremy Vuolo is fixin' to propose to Jinger Duggar on this evening's episode of Counting On. In order to pull off the perfect New York City rooftop engagement, Jeremy enlists help from family and friends.

In the sneak peek video below, Jeremy introduces Jinger, Michelle, Jessa, Ben, and Spurgeon to one of his closest friends, New York Red Bulls goalkeeper Luis Robles. (Jeremy was also a goalkeeper for the Red Bulls before joining the San Antonio Scorpions.) Be sure to watch Counting On "Proposal in the City" tonight at 8pm ET/7pm CT on TLC.

  1. She has no clue what's coming? Why they flew north to meet family? Please. She knows what's up. She's been expecting that ring since they started courting. Probably before that, too.

  2. Enough hype already. After numerous boring slow moving episodes, when is the wedding date and why aren't they announcing it?
How is Jinger going to interact with Jeremy's non-fundamentalist friends?
Where does Jeremy and his family stand on the Duggar extreme beliefs and practices? Those are the things they avoid talking about, but it's what viewers are asking.

    1. An even bigger question is why isn't the gift registry online, or if it is online, whose alias name is it under? A Duggar girl without a huge Wal-Mart registry? Unheard of!

  3. My thoughts exactly. Of course she is expects a proposal. This story line s very lame. It seems to be catering to 12 year olds.

    1. I have to agree, though maybe for more like 10 than 12. All is so predictable.

  4. I have to agree. That's the whole point of "courting" for them. That's why they don't call it dating.

  5. Jinger is so smitten with Jeremy. I have never seen anyone so adoring. In spite of her seeming a bit silly, it is rather refreshing.

  7. wow we could really tell jinger was shocked! the expression on her face was so cute - jeremy pulled this off this surprise in a great way - another winner for a duggar girl! one complaint - TLC blew it again by not advertising (they never advertise any episodes) this episode and by not featuring jim bob and michelle more. especially jim bob - his love and care for his daughters is something that should have been part of the jinger getting engaged episode!

  8. What a genuine friend he has. I hope all went well with their delivery of their new addition to the family.
He is definitely best man material.

  9. Why does Jinger think she has to express her emotions and heartfelt sentiment to the world? This is ridiculous. Speaking to Jeremy in the most endearing terms--I would think they would want to keep that private.

    1. The Duggars don't keep anything private. You could almost feel embarrassed watching her at times. She was really over the top. Yes, these gushing emotions should be kept private.

  10. This show seems like it geared toward children.

    1. It's definitely getting to that point.

  11. Jinger's reaction was spontaneous and sweet. Jeremy looks as smitten as she, and it's sweet to see how protective he is of her. I hope they have a happy ending. I would think it difficult for a college-educated person to marry someone with a limited education and such a limited, narrow view of the workd. Perhaps Jinger will finally be free to get out and take some classes in Laredo to broaden her view of the world.
