ReplyDeleteFrom the very beginning I was struck with how it seemed that Anna was almost just a missing piece in the Duggar family. What a beautiful woman she has grown into. Each of the things that Joshua has been involved in, I have seen in someone that I know. When you view pornography, it seems to me it is a clear door opening to the adversary and I have seen it devastate people I love. I have seen people repent from horrendous acts and I know that none of us are disposable to God but you have got to walk with him every day, every footstep. You cannot fall back. My Sister was cheated on by her husband multiple times and it was devastating to her self worth. Even when it was no longer left up to her, she still loved him and wish they could have worked it out which I cannot understand, but have no right to judge her. Wherever the road takes you Anna, I know that he is holding you up and there are no choices that will represent failure. But as I love others that I have seen stay with and stand by sinners, I know that Joshua is forgivable to the Savior and again no one can judge you for what you choose to do. I pray Josh will stay strong and never slip. I pray he grows stronger everyday and is able to earn your entire families trust again. He certainly needs support as it will be a long road back until there may be days it will seem forgotten. You are the sweetest Anna and such an inspiration.

ReplyDeleteAnna gives me faith , and strength , in that she appears to have taken care of herself and her children well despite things that happened in the past years . Anna is a good role model to us of all ages , who have encountered similar problems in life .
ReplyDeleteAnna has inspired and encouraged me in so many ways. She is so sweet and kind, and so devoted as a spouse and mother and making sure Christ is always present in her words and actions. ReplyDeleteI loved when she said she's always loyal to her kids (out in public); so when they are throwing a tantrum she gets down to their level & is compassionate & understanding. I really liked that! Loyal to her kids!

ReplyDeleteI can't even imagine how hard this past year has been for Anna. And while I pray that I never have to walk the same road, I pray to God that if I do, I can handle it with half the grace, strength, and faith that Anna did. She is one of the best examples of a Christian woman I can think of! I'm a 19-year-old girl trying to do what God wants me to do, and Anna has been a wonderful example to me. Thank you, Anna.

ReplyDeleteI remember one show when Anna was taking her children to the store and Mackynzie was sad because she wanted to be in the cart. Anna bent down and with a soft voice talked to her and reassured her. Anna later said that she tries everyday to reach each of her children's hearts. What a wonderful message. There was also another show where the bouncy seat for Marcus was accidentally packed in the moving van and she had specifically asked Josh not to pack it. They travelled all the way to Washington and she never complained that she didn't have the baby seat. When it was finally unpacked and Josh brought it to her, she gave him a hug and said "my hero" She is the hero, most wives would have been mad at their husbands for packing the baby seat but she was so positive and grateful. She is simply amazing and Josh better really appreciate what he has because she is a GEM!! Happy Birthday Anna, you deserve to be treated like a queen!!

She's recently taught me the gift of unconditional love. Even after she found out that her husband cheated on her, she still loved him. I am kind of the same way with people around me. I can't bear to see them suffer, and I always try to help in any way I can with their problems.

ReplyDeleteAnna had a huge impact in my life by helping me change the way I see my kids. I have three kids and I remember that some people (like my father-in-law) didn't reacted well when they discovered about my second and third pregnancies, they treated me and my husband as two irresponsible people that don't know how to "protect themselves" from having kids. I watched several episodes of 17, 18 and 19KAC and I was always amazed by Anna's sweet attitude with her kids, specially her happiness and positivity during each one of the pregnancies. I used to feel sad about people's comments and reactions, but nowadays I really don't care about what anymore...I mean, it's my life, I'm doing what I think is the right thing to do, I'm a good mom, I raise my kids with love and education, and I work very hard, so why should I be ashamed of having contributed to God's creation by giving birth to three precious human beings? I've heard some people saying that Anna is dumb and stupid because she stayed with Josh. Well, if staying with Josh was right or wrong is something I won't talk about because it's not my life, it's her life. But one thing I know, she is not dumb! As a stay at home mother, I know how chalenging being a mom and a housewife can be, and I truly believe that we are underestimated by people who don't have any idea how important a mother is for a family and how much of our inteligence and talents we can put into our tasks. I'm so gratefull to Anna because even if I never met her, she showed me how to be a better mom and a better wife.

I'm glad you've come to the place where you don't let their opinions bother you, because they are ignorant of the truth - babies are a gift from God! You and I and Anna and the rest of us moms are shaping the future, and it's sad that so many people have bought into the lie that what we do doesn't matter, etc. Keep up the good work!
DeleteTotally agree!!!! We just had out 6th child in April and sometimes it's like people think you don't know how to stop lol I wasn't even sure if we should tell anyone that we were expecting our 5th or 6th. I have been encouraged by Anna too both as a wife and a mama:)

Anna is someone who sees Jesus as the reality he is. She follows him as if what he says is true! She exemplifies forgiveness and grace towards her husband which is what Jesus has done for all us sinners. I am thankful Anna walks out what she believes despite so much nastiness towards her decisions. She had a crown waiting in heaven. You all will see!
ReplyDeleteOne of the most powerful things I heard Anna say after Josh's infidelity was, 'If I went off of what I was feeling I would turn a mess into a disaster.' and so she handled something for herself, and her kids, and for all of the women who were watching what she would do next. She handled her feelings and in so doing she taught me that I can handle mine.

We had just celebrated 10 yrs of marriage and welcomed our 5th baby girl into the world in July 2015. God is faithful through it all. He's a healer and makes all things new! Love you and your family and I'm praying for ya'll.

Anna is so devoted to her husband and children and devoted to the Duggars as well. I just hope Anna does some things for herself, perusing personal interests beyond that of raising her children and healing her marriage. It is possible to be both - a woman devoted to helping her family pursue their dreams and a woman discovering and pursuing her own dreams.

ReplyDeleteOnce I met a woman who was 68 years old. She was a Christian, she told me that when she accepted Christ she physically felt a weight lift off of herself. She made another comment that I remember she said about another woman, "She always wants everything to be 'nice'."

ReplyDeleteAnna Duggar is an inspiration to me in so many ways. First and foremost, she truly lives her faith. She is also kind to everyone and is so patient with her children. On an earlier episode of "Counting On," she was talking about some advice given to her to "say the next right thing, have the next right response, for the next 15 minutes." This really hit home with me as I sometimes am less patient with my students than I should be. Since watching that episode, I am making a concerted effort to use her patience as she teaches and parents her children as the model of what I should be doing in my classroom. Even though I have a ways to go, I am blessed to have been able to see her in that and all the episodes. Anna is also the epitome of graciousness in the face of great challenges in her personal life. To me, Anna is a wonderful Christian young lady who is a role model to so many. I continue to pray for Josh, Anna, and their family, and for many blessings in their future.

ReplyDeleteMy heart aches for what Anna has had to deal with and will the rest of her days with Josh. God can use this for good. God is able. I hope Josh is improving and is always held accountable given his tendencies for the rest of his life. It won't be fair to Anna if she has to deal with more issues from him in the future. I hope that's not the case. I pray for Josh's salvation and that he does turn his whole life over to the Lord. -Becky

My wish for Anna would be that she take time for herself, pursuing her own personal gifts and dreams.
