"Life-Changing" Season Finale

Tune in to TLC next Tuesday at 9pm ET/8pm CT for what TLC is calling the "life-changing season finale" of Jill & Jessa: Counting On. What do you predict will be revealed?

Jill & Jessa: Counting On "Israel Meets Spurgeon"
Jessa and Ben Seewald, along with several of the Duggar siblings, experience what life is like for Jill and Derick Dillard living in a foreign country with a young son. Jill and Derick remember their beginnings together in Nepal and the adventures that have led them to the mission field in Central America.

    1. Ben can't do that because he's enrolled in some (online for now) Bible college.

  2. Derick and Jill adopt 4 more kids.
Ben amd Jessa adopt 2 more kids.
    Jana begins a courtship relationship.

    1. I agree and add that one of the older boys....maybe John will enter a courtship aswell. ;)

    2. I agree, it's at least one of those!

      Delete
  3. They "remember their beginnings"... So basically this lifechanging episode will be just a mashup of old clips...

    1. Yeah, I hate boring rerun shows. We watched it before. Show something new!

      Delete
  4. My guess is most likely more pregnancies and possibly some new courtships. But in possible TLC fashion we wont find out until the very last few minutes of programming. If they added up all the recaps from this latest batch of shows, I bet it would take up more than half of the hours taped.Thats not so cool for us fans who long awaited for their return and then because of TLC lacklustre production of late we most likely will not get retun shows because of declined viewership. I really hope not, but I feel it in my core and I'm so disappointed with the network.Guess I'm just selfish, I wish we got more and will get more...well see.

  5. I think it is something about Jinger and Joy-Anna.

    ReplyDelete
  6. I think that it is Grace that the sibling got a chance to experience the life changing, Of family been in another city.

    ReplyDelete
  7. They're holding babies at the orphanage so maybe someone is adopting.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Jessa or Jill announcing that they are having a baby or it could be a new courtship

    ReplyDelete
  9. Life changing could be Josh comes back.
I hope Jill isn't pregnant, especially with that Zika virus going around in Central America. Even Jessa, now that she went there and potentially could have been exposed.
Or perhaps Jana is courting? That would truly be life changing for all of them! If she moves out, they would for sure be lost.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Adoption and Courting....that is my guess on life changing events!

    ReplyDelete
  11. Interesting! Wonder what it will be. I guess we shall see! :)

    ReplyDelete
  12. I sincerley hope they tell us one or more are courting.I also bet that Jill is pregnant and perhaps Jessa and Ben are going to get their adopted baby from there.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Adopting a baby from central America is very difficult and they will never actually complete process (without using birth control anyway). No new courtships. The title is just tlc winning over viewers..

      Delete
  13. Hopefully they'll say it's been fun but now we're going back to being a private family.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Jinger courting and maybe new babies for either Jessa or Jill

    ReplyDelete
  15. They're all going to the University of Arkansas, because they already have the t-shirts, and they're all going to get careers!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Now that would be truly life-changing. :)

      Delete
    2. Don't assume they don't have a career just because they haven't attended a 4 year college (if they haven't).

      Delete
    3. Why don't any of the people on this show go to an actual university? God knows they are bright enough. I don't intend this to be mean-spirited in the least. I really am curious. These young men and women are so gifted. Yet, none of them go to actual state or even private accredited universities like Univetsity of Arkansas or Auburn or Duke, etcIs their religion and if so what is the reasoning? Their faith seems strong enough to handle any place God puts them. Can someone explain.

      Delete
    4. Because it isn't necessary. You don't have to go to an overpriced University to continue learning. And frankly, most are just liberal indoctrination centers. If any were interested in pursuing a career that required a degree, I'm sure they would do so.

      Delete
    5. Most of the advancements in science and medicine and technology were brought to you by people who attended these "liberal indoctrination centers." When you go to the ER, are you upset that the doctor treating you has been to an "overpriced" university and might have been exposed to liberal thinking? No, you're glad he's been trained and knows what he's doing and can probably save your life.

      Delete
    6. The anti-education responses often posted on this blog are upsetting. Remaining uneducated is no way to solve this country's problems or remain a strong nation on an evolving world stage. We are fortunate to have a wide range of colleges in the US with a ride range of philosophies and a wide range of prices, including more free scholarships than you could count. All of our youth should be encouraged to attend.

      Delete
    7. They don't all have to, but given how many over 18 year olds there are still living at home, that none of them have decided to do a real degree of any sort (even community college), is very odd. They are not overpriced if you are smart about where you go and how you pay for it. There are so many careers that are pretty much off limits to all of them if they don't go college. That's sad.

As for liberal indoctrination centers, well 1) that's just not true, don't believe movies like Gods Not Dead, it's a lie and 2) if there faith is strong enough, they won't be indoctrinated, they'll only learn to defend their beliefs better. Given how much they support UofA football, that none have gone to that university is just very strange.

      Delete
    8. My college certainly did not require me to sign a promise to be a liberal when I enrolled. You can think for yourself when it comes to that topic. And you will find all viewpoints at most colleges, from liberal to conservative.

      Delete
    9. And you can find liberal schools - UC Berkley; and conservative -Wheaton, IL all over the U.S. If you are afraid of someone swaying you from your convictions, or don't feel comfortable go to a place of higher education with people who are like-minded and subscribe to the same basic tenets you do. But don't disqualify yourself from education because people might not think like you. That is just wrong.

  16. It must be the ever- predicted by Jessa: adopting a baby.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I can't believe the Season is all ready over! I could watch y'all all year, but understandably y'all need a break. Many thoughts and prayers for safety to Derick, Jill, and Israel and prayers to the rest of the family.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I am very curious to see what will be revealed! My only guess is that either Jill and Derick are moving to a different mission field/back to the states. Or maybe another sibling has decided to join them in the mission field?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Seems like the series focused mostly on Jessa, it will be nice to see Jill & her "counting on" life.

  22. The tease about Jinger having a boyfriend was not nice!! :) Does she or doesn't she?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Jinger's in a courtship. Josh is out of rehab. Those are my guesses.

    1. Have they been hinting about Lawson courting on Bringing Up Bates?

      Delete
    2. Nope they only have been hinting Nathan and a little bit Tori.

      Delete
    3. Complete opposite. Lawson seems to have no interest in courtin anytime soon.

      Delete
    4. I know there have been LOTS of rumors about lawson and Jinger but in VERY recent interviews he says that he is not courting and does not see any relationship in the very near fututre

      Delete
  24. Noticed Ben shaved off his soul patch and stubble and Derrick grew his Mountain Man beard back. What's up with each.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Could it be a baby as the announcement!

    ReplyDelete
  26. I love your family to pieces!!! I always say to my husband I feel like my part of their family and I wish I was life long friends with them!! I look up to your family and I pray that one day I will have as much higher patience with my children and others as you do Michelle! Keep smiling Nad know that Jesus has many blessings upon your family and he loves you all very much! Every time I see yall faces it's like a breath of fresh air!! With much love! CeLynn

    1. They need to take a breather in the baby dept.

  28. I think Jana is going to join Derrick and Jill in South America doing full-time mission work and help Jill with Israel.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. It's beyond time when Jana stops "helping" with babies. Jill is going to have to look after her own kids. Jessa, too.

      Delete
    2. That sounds like a good prediction. I agree with you.

      Delete
    3. Jill should be able to handle one child on her own.

      Delete
  29. Maybe another Duggar will be in a courtship.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Season finale? Oh my goodness, it's gone by so quickly. I sure hope there's another season coming up . :)

    ReplyDelete
  31. Is Jill pregnant?? That's my guess. I hope so! Izzy is super cute!!!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I hope not, for her sake! Women in countries with the Zika virus have been warned not to get pregnant until 6 months after they leave the country... which means she shouldn't get pregnant at least until January 2017 (and give birth at least until October 2017). I hope she respects the warning!

      Delete
  32. Someone is pregnant someone is adopting and someone is courting!!!I think maybe 2 might be adopting! Now that would be some finale!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. That's exactly what I was going to say!

      Delete
  33. Life changing? They have certainly experienced that. The best so far is Jessa! I've noticed her change in clothes. Much shorter length, shorter sleeves. Much more mainstream. Love it!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Jill is pregnant again or she and Derick are staying in Central America permanently.

    ReplyDelete
  35. The girls change hairstyles?

    ReplyDelete
  36. No more TLC. The Duggars will live their lives privately like the rest of us and give their family the privacy they need to heal? That would be life changing, for sure.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I know this is kind of random, but I unfortunately missed the last episode. Can anyone who watched it give me some pointers? Lily and Ellie, I love it when you post an episode!

  38. Are they saying the season finale is life-changing or the whole season has been life-changing and this is now the finale.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I bet one of the boys, Joseph, maybe, is finally dating someone.

    ReplyDelete
  40. My guess is that 3 pregnancies will be announced as well as 2 adoptions and 1 courtship!
    O

    ReplyDelete
  41. I'm grateful they found a way to bring the family back to tv but in all honesty, this season was a little boring. I love this family and I'll always tune in, but I do hope next season is edited in a more interesting way. Mostly I wish they'd bring back Michelle and JB, but I know if that ever happens it won't be for a very long time. As far as the life changing season finale, my guess is Josh comes back from rehab, the family has an exciting trip to El Salvador, and Jill or Jessa are pregnant. It's not even possible for Anna to be pregnant or the Seewalds to be adopting yet because Josh and Anna haven't seen each other and Spurgeon is still too young for Ben and Jessa to begin the adoption process. I also don't think anyone is in a courtship only judging by how Jana, Jinger and Joy and the guys respond to questions about that topic.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Well, any "life changing event" would have to be limited to one of the following:
    A. Someone is courting.
    B. Someone is getting married.
    C. Someone is pregnant.
    D. Someone is going on a mission trip.
    E. All of the above.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I hope to see the family grow and prosper for many years to come. I pray only good things for them all. Looking forward to seeing them meet up with Jill and Israel😊

    ReplyDelete
  44. Hey Lillie and Ellie could I ask you some questions. Could you guys put the full episodes of counting on on the blog it would be awesome if you guys would and I missed the last episode how can I see it.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Life changing for the Duggars and TLC would probably not be another pregnancy, but could be an adoption, or someone moving. I think the biggest news would be if Jana were to be moving out, or Jessa and Ben were to be moving out of the country.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Jinger is courting!

    ReplyDelete
  47. I received the email to comment on but I could not get into the link. I enjoy watching the family. I enjoyed the baby boys being able to meet each other and a good thing it is on tape as they will never remember this. I truly enjoyed the show the week the girls had there get away time. Looked like they had a fun time. One of the most fun things to watch is when they go to the discount store and shop basically I hate shopping. Keep the show going.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Jill is pregnant and will be having the baby back in the U.S. this summer when they come back.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Nice to see them back. They keep implying Jinger is getting to know someone.
    Thank you ladies

    ReplyDelete
  50. Life changing for them would be a baby (Jill is pregnant again) or a courtship (Jinger is dating Lawson) or nothing at all. It could be that Jill and Derick are thinking about adoption but don't have any real plans.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I cannot believe the run of Counting On is almost over. Ellie and Lily, you have done a stellar job with the blog. I especially hope you will keep us updated when they are off the air. You are a blessing to the Duggars and to us. Barb

    ReplyDelete
  52. I really wish that the Duggars would consider going to a new network.Maybe producing their own specials a few times a year to catch us fans up on their lives could work too..I also think they should ask us fans advice on show ideas, some fresh perspectives might just be the ingredient to make this show entertaining again...or a complete overhaul in staff at the TLC network might suffice.Sorry to sound like a parrot about this but as time gets closer to the final episode I'm getting worried that we wont see or hear from them again after next week.I really hope JimBob,Michelle, and the younger kids at least get to come back again before all is said and done...fingers crossed.Blessings🌝🤗❤

    ReplyDelete
  53. Jinger is courting. She has been dodging that question each time they ask. And they ask A LOT. Women can do more then get married and have babies. Why don't they ever ask her what college she wants to go to, job, or hobbies? Or Jill is preggo. It is her rerun show after all.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I like Jinger and I am her biggest fan and I like Jinger

    ReplyDelete
  55. Nothing life changing is happening.
The past two shows is old clips because nothing is going on.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I was really disappointed.. no new footage. A waste of an episode..

  56. Josh would be released and allowed to return to his life with a better motive, and he would be allowed back on tlc.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Not gonna happen. That would be a very foolish move on TLC's part. Now if he gets a spot on the 700 Club or Fox News or something, that would not surprise me.

      Delete
  57. there is no big announcement. same boring show? guess I might fall asleep watching.

    ReplyDelete
  58. There will be nothing new on finale, just tlc trying to make people watch. Disappointed with the lack of new footage this season..same old same old

    ReplyDelete
  59. My guess is a baby, courtship or adoption announcment. I know jessa and ben wanted to adopt but they had to wait till after 2 years of marriage before they could adopt so maybe they will be adopting in november or at least starting the process.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Both Jill and Jessa are adopting from the orphanage!

    ReplyDelete
  61. Jinger looks so much better with her new hairstyle and wearing much less eye-liner.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Jill or Derrick, or both, take jobs assisting at Mama Carmen's orphanage. They have visited there before. I think one of the siblings even said in an interview that they could easily see Jill and Derrick doing that kind of work.

    ReplyDelete
  63. What else could it be but more courtships and/or babies?

    ReplyDelete
  64. I am disappointed there was a lot of old footage. Nothing really new. Although if I hear one of the Duggars say that they have "walked through" hard times again, I may scream. While I am sorry for their pain, that expression has become so overused by every one of the family members. They need to either move on or say it in another way.

    ReplyDelete
  65. I hope the Duggars parents reappear in the program. I don't like just seeing the older children 'moving on'.

    ReplyDelete
  66. I wonder what they mean by life changing?
Maybe the two sisters will both be in South America.
I for one would be disappointed if they both came back to the us and just continued to have children. I didn't consider that life changing but their normal way of life.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Well, it has to be a courtship because viewers have been programmed to wonder who will be married next and that is the only at this point that helps the ratings. Unless, one of girls decides to strike it out on their own; which is very unlikely. So, courtship.

    ReplyDelete
  68. I entered my guess before but didn't see it posted. I'll try again. I think John-David will be in a courtship and Jinger is dating a minister. I think there are new babies for Jill and Jessa but can't predict adoption or pregnancy.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Adoption takes a long time. You can't just go and pick up a child. I think Jill is expecting. Jinger and Joy are courting someone.

    ReplyDelete
  70. In some of the recent video clips for part 2 of the season finale it sure does look like Jill is pregnant. I bet that will be one of the things they reveal tonight. <3

    ReplyDelete
  71. Are you sure something is going to be revealed? Maybe they just mean this finale is a big moment

    ReplyDelete
  72. I just watched the whole show. What was revealed?
    I guess I missed it!

    ReplyDelete
  73. Why did TLC lie and call that a "life-changing episode"????? I did like the episode, but to the end I was waiting for some big news from somebody. Feeling let down.
