Duggars Respond to Accusations Against Josh

Josh Duggar resigned from his position at the Family Research Council following accusations that he molested five underage girls as a teenager.

Josh, his wife, and his parents released statements via PEOPLE.com this evening.

"Twelve years ago, as a young teenager, I acted inexcusably, for which I am extremely sorry and deeply regret. I hurt others, including my family and close friends," Josh told PEOPLE. "I confessed this to my parents, who took several steps to help me address the situation. We spoke with the authorities, where I confessed my wrongdoing, and my parents arranged for me and those affected by my actions to receive counseling. I understood that if I continued down this wrong road that I would end up ruining my life."

Jim Bob and Michelle told PEOPLE that this incident, which occurred 12 years ago, was a dark time for their family. They were shocked by their son's behavior, but they lovingly came alongside him to help him through it. The Duggars say they grew closer to God through this ordeal.

"We pray that as people watch our lives, they see that we are not a perfect family," Jim Bob and Michelle told PEOPLE. "We have challenges and struggles every day. It is one of the reasons we treasure our faith so much because God's kindness and goodness and forgiveness are extended to us – even though we are so undeserving. We hope somehow the story of our journey – the good times and the difficult times – cause you to see the kindness of God and learn that He can bring you through anything."

When this incident occurred, Josh's family members responded with grace and forgiveness. They have chose to stand by him because they know he deeply regrets his actions and that he is now following after God.

Josh confessed his mistakes to Anna and her parents two years before proposing. Anna says she was "surprised at his openness and humility."

[I know] who Josh really is – someone who had gone down a wrong path and had humbled himself before God and those whom he had offended," said Anna. "Someone who had received the help needed to change the direction of his life and do what is right."

Josh says he "would do anything to go back to those teen years and take different actions." As a teenager, he sought forgiveness from the people he had wronged and from God. "In my life today, I am so very thankful for God's grace, mercy, and redemption," said Josh.

Family Research Council president Tony Perkins released a statement following Josh's resignation:

"Josh believes that the situation will make it difficult for him to be effective in his current work. We believe this is the best decision for Josh and his family at this time. We will be praying for everyone involved."

  1. So sorry to hear about this. Most of us do something as a young person that we would do just about anything to take back; I'm sure this is true for Josh.

  2. My heart has been heavenly burdened for Josh & Anna, and the entire Duggar clan as this story unfolded today. In an era of media madness & hype, this report has taken on a life of its own. Those who love to gather stones will. But those of us that appreciate your candor & humility in light of it will stand with you. What happened over ten years ago and that was dealt with firmly and discreetly (as it ought to have been) is a closed chapter in my view. God bless you all as you walk out this challenge. I've no doubt you'll do it on the high ground, as always.

    Prayer & hugs,
    Kathleen

  3. I'm so disappointed to hear this. While I'm not judging Josh for his actions, this just gives non-Christians another reason to point at us and say how messed up the Christian faith is. I'm afraid this has done a lot of damage, not just within the Duggar family and I won't be surprised if the show is no canceled. But at least I know that God uses all things for His glory.

  4. I love the Duggar family. I hope and pray that TLC WILL KEEP THEM ON TV. We all make mistakes. in the words of our dear Lord, "He who is without sin, let him cast the first stone." I will be praying for Josh and Anna during this difficult time in their lives. May God richly bless this precious family.

  5. I did a lot of bad things as a teenager. Drugs, alcohol, theft. All slipped quietly away. They still live with me today. I am thankful I am not in the public eye. I was heartbroken when I saw this news. I have always held the Duggar family in high regard and I still do.

  6. Everyone makes mistakes. He was a minor. Boys mature much later than girls. He knows it was wrong but your mind can wonder at any age. He and his family are over the situation and shame on who ever brought it up again just for a quick buck from the press!!

  7. I am disappointed with this family. Why is it just now coming out? Why not come forth 10 years ago when you started your show?

  8. Josh, I'm not sure what caused this information to become public, but as someone who has made her fair share of mistakes as well, I am also deeply thankful for God's grace. No one is perfect, and while I disagree with some aspects of your faith in our Lord, I do applaud you for your honesty, even when it is so hard to do. I hope you, your family, and anyone else directly affected by this are able to heal.

Josh, you & your family are in my praying heart. I commend your parents for the grace they handled you with as a boy. Be gentle and be kind to yourself. Our Heavenly Father loves you Dear Brother!

  21. Just wanted to commend the Duggar family and Josh for releasing a statement and owning it. I am thankful that the things that I did as a teen aren't being dug up all the time. I think that doing what they did at the time takes courage to seek treatment & to take responsibility. What happened was a mistake, but the actions after are also important. Sending prayers and grace to the family.

  22. The next thing that needs to be done is the show 19 kids and counting to be cancelled.

  23. I am a little taken back by this. On one hand I highly respect the admitted act but as a victim of child molestation and a huge fan of your family I struggle with this. I know many details you must keep private but I wish you could elaborate a bit more.

  24. He who hath no sin cast the first stone, I love your family and you inspire me to do better. I will keep your family in my prayers!

  26. As painful as this is, and how Satan wants to have a party spreading around painful stories of the past. I trust that good will come from your speaking out and sharing directly about how your family dealt with a horrible situation. Shining lights in dark places sets people free. People need to know about forgiveness, both from those hurt, those close to us and ultimately God. He longs to set people free from the bondage of hidden sin. Praying for all involved!!

  27. As a survivor of a child molestation. I commend Josh for his honesty and openness for his past. I wasn't as fortunate to receive an apology or his willingness to confess his act and turn to God. I praise you Mr. and Mrs. Duggar for helping your son and your unconditional love and encouragement and support. Josh you are a blessing to your family and a blessing of God. I am a sinner and I'm sure the Lord doesn't have a scale of which he weighs the depths of sin. Instead he accepts us and calls us his own. He forgives us and holds us and heals us from the inside out. I pray Josh that you would use your experience to help those who have found themselves in similar situations. Maybe start or join a jail ministry, so that those who are broken can heal through your testimony and come to Jesus and accept him as their savior. I will continue to watch your show and support your family with my prayers and well wishes. Mrs. Gina David

  30. I love this show & I love this family! No one is perfect, we ALL fall short of God's glory. He repented & turned from his sin, his family forgave him, his wife was made aware of it before they were married & he underwent counseling, what more can you ask for!? The first step in getting help is admitting you are at fault. I'm not at all condoning his actions, but it sounds like he is doing his best to right his wrongs.

  31. Duggar family, you are in my prayers. All families experience pain in different forms. My husband and I will continue to admire your faith and honesty. God bless you as you go through this difficult time.

  32. Josh is a Godly example of what a man, husband, and father should be. What he did as a kid, before he was saved doesn't change that. As my brother in The Lord, you have love and support from my family. I hope this doesn't silence your voice. Keep using whatever platform the Lord provides for you. God Bless you and your family.

  39. Josh, no one is perfect. We all have ghosts in our closets and Im sorry to hear that this has effected your job, which supports your family. Forgiveness is something hard to ask for and even harder to recieve. I pray that your family has healed from your past mistakes and also heals from this unnecessary media coverage. You have a great wife and family, stay true to Gods teaching that he forgives... God Bless

  40. God bless your family during this time. Josh was a child at the time, and male children do some hair raising things sometimes; I know mine did. The only real sin here is that ugly people have opened a file on a child and published it. These records are supposed to be sealed for this very reason. Stick together and pray the evil your having to face leaves your lives soon.

I think it's ridiculous that it's being called "molestation"! I think it should be called "hormone racing, typical, curious boy". Of course I don't know the whole story, only what I've read, it still doesn't effect my love and admiration for the family and show. I am raising 4 sons, 3 of whom are in puberty and I have overheard several conversations about their "curiosity" and the only difference between them an josh at that time is that they don't live with a house full of females. Keep your head up josh. You and your family will get through this. This would just be another day if it was anyone else but since you are famous then it's going to be blown way out of proportion

  42. Keep trusting God! I am praying for your family! Jesus came to save us His Blood cleanses us when we repent He throws our sins in the sea of forgetfulness!

  45. I love your show and everything you stand for. Nobody is perfect and people will make mistakes. Josh owned up to his mistakes and I commend him for that. I hope one day when god blesses me with kids. I will raise them just like y'all do yours. I can't wait until the next season :)

  49. Who of us can cast the first stone? If half my sins were paraded before the news meia, everyone would be shocked, because I am no longer that person. When God comes in your life He changes you from the inside out. We ALL have things we are ashamed of from our past. Please don't let this take you from your family show. It just shows people the wonderful grace of God even more evidently. Praying for all of you in Texas, the Lochridge Family

  51. It's a total shame this happen. I hate to hear this. Being a victim if insest as a small child it leaves scars and pain. Yes God can heal your heart and yes I did forgive my uncle but I will not allow myself or my kids be in the same place as him. This was a family secret for years too and sadly my parents didn't press charges because the didn't want to have any other family issues. I just hope and pray these girls got some help unlike I did. I won't stop watching the duggars because of this. But my question is why now after all these years this secret is out? Josh I am glad you admited your wrong doing that in its self takes courage and strength.

  52. I believe in all of you. Josh and the Duggar family are wonderful. People make mistakes at all ages. I have been watching the show since day one. I believe in Josh. I stand by the Duggar family. Only God can judge you, no one else.

  53. This may be a hard chapter for you but it will ultimately bring you to where you need to be. With Gods grace you just may help someone else going through a similar situation who needs to find the strength, mercy and forgiveness that you have. May God be with you all and may he continue to shine through you even greater.

  54. Prayers of grace and mercy for the family and those offended. God knows and he will forgive and he is merciful. Love and prayers.

  55. My heart goes out to the Duggar family as they deal with this so publicly. A similar thing happened in our family with my older brother molesting my sister and I, but our parents ignored all the signs and even when they found out 15 years later, acted like it wasn't that big of deal. So it's a relief to see that the Duggar family addressed it. I do pray that Jim Bob and Michelle get counseling for their girls as they are the victims in all of this. Even with the forgiveness, the abuse will affect them for the rest of their lives.

  57. This is a sad situation and I am very empathetic. Josh was very brave to come forward and take action to correct his behavior and ask for forgiveness, most of us have done things that we regret when we are young. We can't fix what we don't acknowledge, hopefully your testimony will help another family. I would also just like to say to Josh to please take precautionary measures so you never do anything like it again. Prayers for your family, God bless

  58. I applaud your honesty and the willingness to share what happened in the past. So thankful for God's forgiveness. I love your family and your values.

  60. The Duggar family has always been remarkable and here again they just show us that as human we do make mistakes but choosing to correct his wrongdoing and providing a better life for his family is amazing. All young boys suffer thoughts and temptions and as Josh being the oldest unfortunately he was the example for everyone else. I applaud their family and for Pete sake people he was only 14 yrs old, minor himself at the time.

He regreted his mistakes, admitted to it, apologized....and did the right things, to put his life back to the right path....which one of us have not made a very big mistake?...do you want to cast that first stone?....We all deserve a chance...than after that, if the mistake continues, then throw that stone!!!!!...everyone has those feelings, and those children have many restrictions... does nt surprise me, he did that..(unexceptable though)...I wish them well...and I still love that Fam.

  67. Prayers for your family. Everyone has mistakes we wish could stay hidden (especially during our teen years). This is just a reminder that God knows all and we can't hide anything from Him. All we can do is ask for forgiveness and grant the same forgiveness to others. Life is full of hard lessons and our actions affect more than just ourselves and can have a lifetime of consequences. This is a learning opportunity. Hang in there. If God brings you to it He will bring you through it.

  70. Hey guys- will you still be doing the dagger family blog now that all this has come to light? I pray for the Duggars and how they didn't just throw it under the carpet that they spoke to authorities and went to counselling. I do however feel so deeply for the victims they will never fully recover despite their faith... it isn't something you will ever recover from.

  74. Praise God for Josh being so honest and open. If Jesus can forgive him and not judge, we should follow that example. Period.

  75. And I did not think that I could love Michelle and Jim Bob anymore than I did. Then I hear about this horrible time in they're lives and how they handled it. True inspirations. Jim Bob was a true man by taking Josh to the trooper and then getting him and the whole family into counseling. This unfortunately happens in too many families. It's rarely ever talked about. I feel horrible for the victims. When I first heard about these accusations I literally wanted to throw up. I feel bad that Michelle and Jim Bob had to deal with this from their own son. But they have handled themselves with more humility and Godliness then I could ever if that ever happened to me. I will never look at Josh the same way again but I'm relieved that he at least told Anne before they courted. God please help this family and be with them in their time of need.

  76. I am so encouraged by the Duggars. Not a sinlgle family out there is perfect, and it would be silly for anyone to assume that the Duggars are any different than our own families! We all have skeletons in our closets, great and small, we have all made a huge mistake in our lives at one point or another.

This is honestly not the public's business and the Duggars have obviously handled this in the best possible way. I feel so bad that they have been attacked like this and the problems they have ALREADY resolved have been dragged back into the light. Who are we to judge them?! We are all sinners, no one is free from sin. Josh has already asked for forgiveness, the people he hurt forgave him, it's done, it's over, let's move on to more important things!
We are all so incredibly blessed to have a God that is graceful and forgives. May God bless the Duggar family.

  77. This has not changed my feelings about this family, I love your family. I look forward to every Tuesday night. As we all know, we are not perfect and have to constantly work at being better Christians.

I am so sorry that someone felt it their job to dig into his life, bring a sin of his, that he made and regretted years ago, to everyone. It breaks my heart!

I am so thankful he has such a loving, caring and forgiving God and family in his life.

This has certainly not changed my opinion of him or anyone in your family - I wish more families worked more on their morals and teaching of God as you do!
May God continue to bless all of you! Thank you for letting us share your lives.

  91. Praying for all of the members of this family. This was a "Family" matter and should have been left there at this time. God's blessings be with you all.

  93. You know it was probably his sisters he hurt. It makes sense now how all the girls and boys live in giant rooms with all the girls in one and all the boys in another. Safety in numbers and it's easier keeping tabs on eachother. And I believe the boys have their own bathrooms and the girls have their own. It's sad but this actually happens more often then not in families. I still love them and support them (Josh I'm mad at, but happy he turned his life around) maybe more now then before. Michelle and Jim Bob are wonderful Godly people and I love the way they handled this. May God continue to be by their side.

  95. I know this is a very sad time for you and this will test your faith in God.I am not a judge, only God can do that. Every family goes through challenges. But yours have become public which makes it so much harder. I really don't understand why someone would dig through a minor's records and publish them. The world would be surprised to see how many siblings have experimented with each other. I'm not condoning this but it happens to be a very common thing. I will pray for your family. You may lose your show, even lose the ways you have been making money, be deserted by family, friends and others in the world but please know that there are many people who will be praying for your family.

  98. first off I feel people will make too much of this, it was a teenage boy with raging hormones and lived in a house where his parents were too open in their sexual attraction to each other mom was popping a new kid out every year.this is going to ruin his life there were ways to handle this without his dad turning him into the police. I have never really cared much for josh but I feel sorry for him in this

  101. we all make mistakes when we are young it shouldn't ruin our lives as adults I love the show and I won't quit watching because josh made a human mistake i'm sure he is not the same person he was as a young boy

  102. Its good to see {and hear} that Josh and his family realised what had happened, acknowledge their mistakes, forgave, and moved on. And helped those in the situation {with counselling}. With the love of each other and God anything is possible, and they are so true...no one is perfect but admitting to mistakes and working towards fixing it is the only way. I love watching 19 kids and counting {on youtube} and I admire this amazing family.
Hope Josh and his family can move forward - with love and with the help of God xx

  103. The Duggar T.V show has been one of the very few descent shows on T.V that I felt we could sit down together as a family and watch. My girls and I have been watching the show for years now, and it has been one of our favorites.....but I must say I feel so shocked by the whole Josh Duggar confession, that I can't help but feel deceived, and it makes me question, every thing that I believed to be true about them, the whole thing is just so disappointing and sad to me.

  108. I am so sorry this revelation of Josh had to happen. I am worried now what is to happen to he and his family especially since Anna is due soon. We all have had problems in our pasts and I hope that people will remember that he who is without sin, cast the first stone. I am sending thoughts of hugs (side ones) to all of you and I pray that God will bring some good out of this situation and take care of Josh and his family. 109. It is unfortunate that something has come out from a teenagers life over 12 years ago. He and his parents did the right thing in seeking counseling , apologizing to the people it affected, was open to his future wife and parents years before they were married. Honestly, I don't think it was necessary to give up your job. I pray for you and your family during this challenging time.

  112. wow I am soo shocked! Cant believe it.. and all the media is only doing is adding fuel to the fire. Only Josh and the victims know the full truth and the full extent of the damage done. How is it that it took 12 yrs to bring this shocking story out in public. For sure this has ruined his career. No one is perfect and has not sinned but when you are in the spotlight like the duggars are, this can seriously affect them. I hope they stick together closer as a family and not let the media or outside opinion influence them. I hope the family can get through this and every one affected is at peace and has resolved this serious issue after 12yrs.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Your family is a blessing to so many. It is obvious that your family, and Josh, in particular took every step to rectify the inappropriate behavior, and through God's grace, he has shown, and proved that he was truly repentful. A wrong action, at age 15, should not erase all of how God has used him since. I have met Anna & her family, here in Interlachen, Fl, and my Son and his family have camped along side, and attended the ATI conferences, and have always told me, that they are just the way that they appear to be. God bless your family, and I pray that the only perfect person that ever lived, is Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

  114. I just hope the girls got good counseling. To have to live in the same house as their abuser and pray that it never happens again must have been very traumatizing for the girls. While Josh was a young kid, at 14 he should have known that it was wrong to touch someone without permission. I pray the girls heal and move on, especially having to deal with this in the public eye. This is very disappointing to hear.

The thing that has not been addressed here are the victims...how did everyone "lovingly come alongside" them? In this type of situation just asking for forgiveness is insufficient---the victims are the ones who needed (still need?) help---even more so than Josh. Further, from reading the report it unquestionably appears that some of the victims were the Duggar girls---what help was given to them?

  117. Whatever happened 12 years ago, happened prior to the Duggar's being on television. I commend Josh for realizing he did wrong, for turning to his parents, for going to the authorities and getting the help he needed. He didn't have to tell Anna or her parents, but he did knowing that he may never see Anna again.
I pray that the media and fans of the Duggar's will not pry and realize that we all have made bad choices.

I was arrested for 2 armed robberies at age 18...which I didn't do but was arrested along with real robbers........still...it was a huge mistake that I had to face and deal with. Keep your head up. I am not a Christian or religious but it is NOT my place to judge anyone. Was it horrific for all involved? Yes of course. Is it excusable? No of course not. Has everyone involved, including the victims, gotten help and moved forward? I hope so. You cannot go backwards to change anything but you can hold your head high and move forward the best you can.

Josh is genuinely repentant, and has done everything within his power to make things right with the people he offended and with God. Obviously he is a different man now. Praise the Lord that God is merciful and forgiving! I hope that through Josh's story, perhaps some will be encouraged that God can forgive their sins too, no matter how big.

Jim Bob and Michelle, you are truly an example to follow. You stood by your son in what was a very difficult and dark time. As a parent, I can only imagine the heartache you went through but I believe that you did what was right. I am happy to read that you arranged counseling for all involved.
I do not minimize what was done because I went through something similar when I was a child. I sincerely believe that you've helped you son regain the right path as well as helping his victims.

  135. I am so sad about this story. Sad for their family to have gone through this in the first place, sad that they are having to relive it now, and sad at the hate, bitterness and vulgarity that so many have been spewing in response to this story. Selfishly, I hope that TLC will contain to air this family whom I have grown to love, although I know it's possible that being in the spotlight so much may not be in their best interests. Most of all, I pray that good will somehow come out of this, whether it's through helping other families who have gone through this situation, or raising awareness to parents that this can happen in any family. None of us is above doing the wrong thing. May God grant comfort, healing, and direction to their family.

  138. Josh, if your reading this. As sorry as I am for the girls involved, I am just as sorry for you. I pray that Gid uses this situation to show himself strong in grace and mercy. Just before I came to know The Lord I was in a relationship with another girl for 4 years. Though the world views this as ok, you know and I know, that in the sight of The Lord both of what we have done is sin. Through it I have come to know the love and grace of God very intimately and in a very personal way. I'm so sorry that because of who you are you are going to face judgments and you have already suffered by the loss of your job. All I can say is I still absolutely love your family, the whole time you have been the first to say you are not a perfect family and want others to see Jesus not you. You have a testimony to share so use it to shine the light of Jesus. Have courage good and faithful servant.

Sending prayers.

  140. But for the grace of God go I.
Josh has so changed into a man of God over the years and in my eyes a genuine faith. He knew that this skeleton may be taken out the cupboad when going to work for FRC but he courageously grasped the opportunity knowing the cost.
His behaviour was clearly wrong and not
excusable full stop. Yet children & teens, Josh being a young 15yr old, are often
curious & act especially if unhappy or bored
or unsettled - I think it was around the
time of building their new home??
There's no winners in this situation sadly and I feel for Josh & family, the vilitrol aimed at him, the duggar girls and J-B & Michelle. Yet,
I pray they will be able to walk that higher calling of Gods grace again, that shines so evidently in their daily lives & encourages me.

You have a wonderful family and my 5 children and I watch every episode of your show. We will continue to watch every upcoming episode as well. 151. I am shocked and saddened to learn of this, but my opinion of Josh Duggar is still the same. These things happened when Josh was still a child himself. Fortunately, God and Josh's family intervened and got him the help he needed and put him back firmly on the right path. We live in a fallen world and we are all sinners, but our loving and merciful God has redeemed us. God didn't condemn us, and we should not condemn one another. I think Josh is a good, hardworking man who loves his family and leads a godly life. Let's leave the past behind and move forward in confidence and compassion for eachother.

  167. Perhaps the details of the offense would change my mind, but I doubt it. The difference between Josh Duggar and 99.9% of the rest of us is that he is in the public eye, which makes him a tasty morsel for unprofessional media hounds who dig up dirt on celebrities rather than report noteworthy stories. I certainly am thankful that nobody is interested in digging up the details of my sins from my teenage years or twenties or thirties or forties or fifties. The interesting thing is that the Bible tells us that once we confess sin, God completely forgets them, and yet some people drool over the chance to dig up the dirt. What a sad world.

Stop talking to the press, lead a quiet life and make it your goal to go and "make disciples of all nations" . You have a beautiful family, apparently God has forgiven you!

We will always have something in our life that we will have ask forgiveness for. I do not agree with the others that Josh should be prosecuted. You as parents did what others probably would not have done...you reported it to the authorities instead of trying to keep it a secret. You sought help for Josh and the victims involved. I do not know what your laws are in Arkansas nor do I know what the ages of the victims were at the time. In GA, this could have been viewed as "child on child" and the only thing we can really do is make sure that the victim and the maltreater receives counseling. 185. As a victim of child molestation from age 5-11, I am upset/sad/confused, but I cant help but realize that I was violated by an adult family member. An adult that knew the repercussions of their actions. Josh was a 14 yr old child and therefore curious, hormonal and immature. This doesnt change the discomfort that he put his victims through, but it has to be realized by his victims and all others, that he was a kid. Unknowing of the repercussions, feelings, regret, embarrassment, etc. that this would cause. He was just a boy fulfilling fantasies, but at the expense of innocent little girls and I dont ignore that or brush it off. But I cant help but continue to reel back to "He was a dumb, experimental, little boy". I am so heartbroken to know that anyone fell victim to any violation of trust, love, touch, etc in their childhood, it broke me in so many ways, but now that this has come out and its understood that he was a child, I think it more important to know and hear how his victims feel. How they genuinely are dealing with this and how they respond(ed) to the requested forgiveness that Josh asked for. That is what matters now, not that Josh fell in to the path of negative curiosity and immaturity as a little boy learning his way. I pray pray pray that the girls involved, are genuinely free of the hurt, ick and pain in their minds and hearts and are all ok from this. Please let us hear (even if anonymously) of how they are doing. Josh has admitted his actions back then, to those that mattered at the time, and now that its been brought out, to the world. Move on to how the girls are doing and then be done with this. None of us want all our skeletons to fall out of the closet, so I dont blame everyone for trying to keep it private. I am sorry to you all that it has left your circle and is out in the world. I know you have chosen a public life, but it still makes my heart hurt for you that it was a child misbehavior in a very bad way and would have been easier kept in the family. Be strong, keep your heads up and be honest with the girls that were effected and worry about their feelings and thoughts. No one else's. Some times, what others think, cannot matter or it will hurt too long, too hard. -Devoted fan to real families sharing the real times in a real life. <3

  188. Forgiveness! Spiritual growth! Honesty! Prayers going up for you and your family to receive all of the above. And for all others I pray have done the same. For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of the Lord ! JESUS Christ died for all our sins.

  190. Frankly, makes me feel rather sick....
I have loved this family and have learned so much from them.... Now I feel pretty sad, gross, and lied to. I feel most sorry for the girls that were abused as this is now national media and it is a form of re-victimization.
I wonder if TLC will cancel the show now.
