    1. Yes please girls! I never go anywhere without a tank top underneath my shirts and sometimes I have to keep readjusting it. I have seen Anna and some of the other girls, their tank tops sit very high... How do they do it?

  3. I really like their style, it is classic and looks really good, I like the modesty because I was raised like that too, so it is nice to see what they wear and copy their style.

  4. Do the Duggars girls trim the split ends (because every girl gets them) from their hair. It's obvious they cindition their hair. Do the Duggar girls color their hair as well?

  5. I see the girls don't share their moms conviction of not wearing short(tank) sleeves. 😉
Do all the Duggars still shop for modest swimsuits from the site that was posted here a few years ago? I wish Michelle would talk about their change of clothes style over the last couple years. It'd be nice to hear her opinions on that. ( tank sleeves, knees showing, form fitting clothes) I'm just curious

  6. This video truly made my day, well first the word of God, because they are teaching the young adults that you can be modest and still look fabulous. These girls are truly beautiful inside and out. I hope and pray that they continue on this beautiful path and do not allow the things of this world influence them and steer them in a worldly direction. As human, it is extremely hard to do and because they are put out there so much it's even harder because they probably have people in their faces with offers that are not appropriate. So thankful that they have a family that hold each other accountable. I hope the girls get to see this "Thankful" comment and pray that they are uplifted. Stay humble and be out there for The Lord. Thank you!

  7. High-neckline tanks... yes. I get mine at Christopher and Banks. I stock up on a lot of them. They sell them all year long, and very good deals all year long. They keep to their true shape, color, and size after many many months of washing. I prefer the elastic satin trim so that the neckline stays close to you, and doesn't look like a tee shirt when you wear it with a shirt, blouse or sweater.

  8. I try to find tank tops with the "tag" printed instead of a physical tag, then I wear it backwards, then they are higher...

  9. Gasp! That is how they get their tank tops to stay up so high! *runs to get scissors* My wardrobe is about to double! Could I love the Duggars anymore?! I have been trying to solve the problem of not being able to find tank tops that aren't low cut for so long!! The nursing tanks will be a bit more of a challenge, but with a little sewing, I think I can make it work! Soooooo happppyyyyy!!!!!

  10. I use to buy lots of tank tops till the layers of clothing and my older age made me to hot. I had to lose the tank tops but still wanted modesty from the low cut tops. Another option from the tank tops is I buy something called " Cami Secret " . You have to make sure you find the ones with snaps and not the sliders (which are a waste of money). The Duggar gals are so talented with sewing, they could make their own. Janet loves #19kids

  11. I enjoy the show and I think the girls are beautiful. I do not know why some people have to make rude, crude remarks about them but it does not make them true, it only says alot about who says them. Good glam session, I think the Duggar women are the most beautiful women in the world and they do not have to show everything they have. Modesty is alot better then nudity. God bless all of you.

  13. Have watched your family show from very beginning. Want to tell you it has brought me so much enjoyment. And even more really makes me think about how some things, like what children learn from uncontrolled tv watching. Home schooling. I am feeling like they would have been much better choices. Thank you for being able to watch your family grow & watch the daily events with The Duggars. Hoping the generations coming up realize the life benefits of home schooling/television supervision, etc can do for the upcoming children. Looking forward to many more episodes of

    The Duggars!!

  14. Nice to see the Duggar ladies sharing their tips with their fans. Would love to see a video on getting their hair looking so pretty and wavy. Have seen them using a hot iron or curling iron. Love the way they wear their hair when it is loose and curly. Jessa had her hair in a bun on top of her head and also down on the side of her face when in Europe. It was very becoming.

  33. This is all well and good...The Dugger girls are lovely....But why don't we hear mor about Gods Love....redemption and salvation?.....Especially for those who don not know the Lord?

  34. Sorry to post this here, but pls post here how the Duggars, Dillards & Seewalds responded to today's terrible news from Nepal and how they plan to help. There is utter despear and devastation all over Nepal, a lot of the villages were wiped out and Kathmandu is in bad shape. I'm an evangelical missionary elsewhere in Asia but I've visited Nepal many times and have lots of friends and acquiantances there. Today's news are so sad and overwhelming. I love Duggars and their faith and ministries. Please ask them to respond to the Nepal catastrophy.

  35. The Duggar girls are such a good influence to other girls!
There is not a lot of good T.V shows on any more so your show is the only one I watch!

  36. A video of how they make their tank tops would be so awesome! I can't ever find anything that doesn't scoop down too low! I think it would be helpful to see a tutorial on how to make those! 😊

  37. I'm not that much older than the Duggar girls, and when I was their age or younger, most girls and women seemed to dress more like they do. It's sad that standards got so low SO quickly, but at least it's good to know that there are some who dress in a way that was the norm not that many years ago. So part of me has to chuckle a little that the modesty thing is considered sort of "new" when in reality it was the way just about everyone dressed until recently. I find today's standards to be very unattractive, tacky, and sloppy-looking--actually in the not-so-distant past, the way so many people dress and act today was considered really tacky. So seeing people dress in a classy, put-together way is really refreshing. BTW I also like that the Duggar women and girls don't seem to color their hair. Their natural, God-made hair color is beautiful. The ingredients in hair colors are really toxic and unhealthy.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Just adding to the comment I just posted and my mention of hair coloring--doesn't the Bible say that gray hair is positive? So many women color their hair to cover up gray hair. But men typically don't. Double standard--gray hair being considered unattractive on a woman, but OK on a man. Anyway, I enjoy this blog and its positive information! Seeing a large family being so loving and supportive is so uplifting, especially given that so many families are not at all that way these days. The Duggars live out their faith in real life, in the context of their family relationships.

  39. Are the Dillards going to help out the quake victims in Nepal?

    ReplyDelete
  40. Men's tank tops are great because they are cheap and have a higher neck line.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I was wondering if the girls can wear jeans?

    ReplyDelete
  42. I love the Duggar bunch. Wish they were on longer. There are not enough family shows on tv. I would watch them every week all year long. Young people need to see their examples and their lifestyle.
I personally appreciate the good and bad. Showing Josie's health issues may help other parents with similar problems. I hope they all continue to share their lives with all of us. As for the negative comments... they don't have to watch the show ! ! !

  43. It is now Sunday and nothing posted on the blog since Saturday. This is happening a lot lately. Is there a reason why?

    Very frustrating!

  44. I'd like to offer my condolences in case you lost any friends in the Nepal earthquake. My thoughts and prayers are with you and with the people of Nepal.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I am sure all the duggar family will be praying for all the families in Nepal and any one in the area ,who have lost or missing friends and loved ones god bless

  46. Honestly as I had heard of Kathmandu I really never heard the word Nepal until I watched the Duggars. I really think Derick Dillard and Duggars helped bring national attention to the place. In a sense it made it famous. So I too hope they make a statement about the earthquake as I immediately associated Nepal with them. I loved seeing how their culture and their city on the 'first meeting' episode. It is devastating for Derick I bet. Just think, alittle over a year ago he was in Nepal.

  47. #Anonymous23,
I completely agree with you! 19 kids and Counting is the only show I watch now days, Brandyn Marie, you should post more comments!

  48. There was an earthquake in Nepal?! May I ever so pay my respects to the people of Nepal, Jill and Derick.

  49. For those of you who don't sew (like me), I buy tank tops, cut the tag off the back and wear them backwards - that way the neckline is higher for my outfits :). Just don't buy ones that are too high than that would look weird. I get ones that - when I wear them backwards- they go just below my collar bone. Thought this would help you all out.

  52. To the dating daughter I would say it is not so much what you do not have as what you do have, your purity, guard it and keep it in tact until you are a married woman, that is your gift to a good man. Also like Ellie has done try being a Proverbs gal that a guy is on the look out for, then you'll be a great catch who is waiting to meet her great catch.

  53. Are tank tops the same as "camis"?

  54. I think that they are so pretty!!!!

  55. I'm still not very clear on how they make their modest tank tops... it would be so amazing if they could post a video showing how they make theirs :)

    ReplyDelete
  56. I've looked at Wet Seal and they do have very cheap tanks however the necklines are not high, they're quite low actually. It would be great if they could do a video showing others what kind of tank tops they buy and how they make them. It would help so many of us!

    ReplyDelete
  57. does anyone have any suggestions of how to make the high tanks? I don't really understand how they make theirs!

    ReplyDelete
  58. Michelle looks gorgeous she looks like a sister in those pictures that we taken! wow

    ReplyDelete
  59. I see some of the girls are wearing sleeveless shirts now. I thought the modesty standards they talk about abiding by include wearing short sleeves, but not sleeveless? I'm not trying to nitpick, just asking for clarification? Their style has changed so much over the years from extremely modest to more and more stylish clothes.
