  1. Love the hair but not loving the dark black eyeliner is to much. Takes away from the eyes instead of highlighting them IMHO

  5. Oh my! They are beautiful girls but lots of make up applied professionally like that makes them absolutely stunning! I personally don't wear makeup because I'm allergic to it and don't think it's worth it to buy the expensive and kind for sensitive skin because even that still bothers my skin! Anyone out there know of any really good makeup brands? I've tried Almay and Mary Kay. Cover Girl and Mary Kay concealer/foundation work for me, but still really dry out my skin. Eye Liner and Mascara give me me styes in my eyes. I should be thankful that God didn't make me too ugly. (; haha
I'll have allergy free skin in only in heaven! (:

    1. Have you tried the Bare Minerals or Pur Minerals makeup? It is a little more pricey but lasts a long time. It is worth the money.

    2. I haven't had any issue with anything but if I were you I'd prob try finding all natural make up if there is such a thing!

    3. Bare Minerals. Don't settle for a knock-off version though.

    4. I've heard you can make your own! You should look it up! :)

    5. 100 percent pure or Eco bella

    6. Arbonne i have psoriasis and exzema its the only make i can use and last a long time.

    7. You can try Abbey St. Clare. They'll even send you 5 generous samples of their products to try for only $7.

    8. I am loving nutrimetics. There's plenty of products that can improve your skin enabling it to take make up.

    9. I buy exspencive bare minerals I have sooooo sensitive skin something I do is buy exspencive primer foundation and cheaper makeup that goes on top if this makes sence

    10. I've been using Bare Minerals for several years now and I love it. I'm an allergy prone person too and it's never given me any problems plus it matches the natural skin tones really well. And while it does cost more than Mary Kay, it lasts forever. The container of foundation I bought the other day cost $27 and it will last a year. But that's nothing compared to what I used to spend on Chanel and it never lasted as long as Bare Minerals. Plus Bare Minerals gives gifts that you can really use instead of tossing because the colors are all wrong. And I'm a very fair skinned with warm undertones red head who can't wear pink or red or blue toned colors!

  12. LOVE jessa and Joy Anna's!

    ReplyDelete
  13. I like how Joy is different, she has her own style.

    ReplyDelete
  14. They all look stunning and Joy looks really sweet with her hair up. But it's a shame Jill chose not to have this style for her wedding but wore it straight instead which was a real disappointment although she still looked beautiful.

  15. In the wedding photos It looks like the girls decided against having their hair professionally done. It looked like they did their own hair.Wana know whats sad....if they opted to pay for it done then the haters will say something negative or if they did their own they will get called cheap.... theres no winning for this lovely family.People will be jealous and meanspirited as long as they are on T.V..so sad really.Being nice feels wonderful:-)

  16. All of the girls is absolutely gorgeous!!

  17. They look beautiful, but a bit too much makeup, and the false lashes are horrible on them!

Best to keep it more natural looking IMHO.

  18. All of the girls are very beautiful with or without make up. All of the girls have stunning hair. I can understand that for this most precious occasion that they wanted to have a little enhanced look. I am wishing the entire family blessings and love. I am looking forward to more wonderful things happening. Prayers sent to you all. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Dillard!

  21. These girls are natural beauties. Having said that, I really didn't care for all that heavy make up, I think it was just too much and it aged them instead of enhancing them The foundation made them all look as if they were wearing a mask. The hair wasn't well don't, at all, IMO, as they looked like 1970s country music stars, quite outdated. Also, these girls are growing their hair way too long as it is stringy and doesn't look healthy on the ends. They needed a younger, more contemporary make over, one that suited their young ages.

  22. Not interested in seeing Jessa's wedding next spring and certainly not interested in seeing Jill's TV birth next summer. I could be dead by then.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I think the girls are naturally pretty. I'm not crazy about any of the hair styles; especially Joy's.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Love them all. But Jinger's hair is so glamorous in those photos. My fav. hair do! She is beautiful. And Joy Anna, how cute and pretty is that updo!? Love it!!!

Luvu Beauty is great. I have the same allergys as u, but can ware these products. U should check them out & they don't cost an arm & a leg.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Beautiful girls! I was wondering if any of the girls or children show an interest in going to college and do you encourage it?

    ReplyDelete
  27. Jinger is my fave. She doesn't look so made up I think cause she looks like that normally lol! All beautiful girls!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  28. If you are looking for great makeup, try Cowgirl Dirt. I know the names sounds strange, but we love it.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Though I love and appreciate this family. I feel like they are giving up their standards of modesty. They used to be naturally beautiful and now it just seems like they are looking extremely "worldly" and almost like movie stars. I find that so disappointing. I think that the cameras have changed their family.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Anyone else ever notice how much Jessa resembles Anjolina Jolie?

    ReplyDelete
  31. Love the hair but not the makeup :)

    ReplyDelete
  32. Joy has grown up to be a beauty just like her sisters. :)

    ReplyDelete
  33. @Anonymous Go on the Wellness Mama website, she has recipes for DIY make up made with natural ingredients...you will be able to make them yourself from ingredients you can find in a health food shop.

  34. my favorite is jessa and jinger but I like all of them but those are my fav:)

  35. joys hair should be left down like the others

  36. They are just beautiful girls. Love the way they do their hair. Michelle and Jim Bob you have got to be proud of your girls, and the whole family. Your whole family shows love all the time, just wonderful to see.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Each one's hair is beautiful. I agree with everyone else that the eye makeup is way overdone. Especially Joy and Jinger. Really love Joy's hair!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Wow!! They all look like Dolls! Like Barbie Dolls, especially with that pink/purple background. Did they actually get their hair and make-up done by the hairstylist on the day of the wedding?

    ReplyDelete
  39. How old is Joy-Anna now? The last time I caught up with the Duggers she was just a baby and now she's a gorgeous young lady.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Duggar family, I'm sorry but the Roloffs blew you out of the water in true, warm, loving parenting, and in wedding style and class. They also aired it timely; in 10 days, not 10 MONTHS.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Their hair and make up look absolutely stunning! What a beautiful group of Godly women!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Duggars always teach modesty. But what has modesty to do with tons of hairspray and make-up? Less is sometimes more. Wearing pants and a decent hairstyle and make-up is more modest in my view.

    ReplyDelete
  43. @Anonymous- maybe one of those mineral brands of make up wouldn't bother your skin. At any rate I'm sure there is a forum for that somewhere. Maybe just a tinted moisturizer and a touch of concealer. I only wear concealer and light lipstick most days. I don't wear eye make up because it always gets smudgy.

    ReplyDelete
  44. So beautiful! I love the duggars ,they look wonderful.

    Emma,

  45. Jana and Jill's eyes look terrible! :S Too much make up! :( These girls are so beautiful already that they don't need make up...

    ReplyDelete
  46. They look great except that Jill's and Jana's looks like overkill on the make-up

    ReplyDelete
  47. They can ALL be models not just Jessa. For sensitive skin try Artistry or BeautyCounter.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Jana ....è sofisticata ...bellissima :-)

    ReplyDelete
  49. Gorgeous every one of them - But this time little sister Joy gets my vote for best hair doo!

    ReplyDelete
  50. I love Jessa's hair.......it is something I would go with for my own wedding. All the girls are beautiful thought.

I have the same issues and can only use Clinique. It is costly but lasts a long time and doesn't cause any irritation.

    ReplyDelete
  52. joy is a fun spunky teen girl! she should not have that hair do makes her look old

    ReplyDelete
  53. @Anonymous
    Check out www.purelygorgeous.com

It's totally natural mineral makeup with no fillers. It's the fillers that are often irritants. I have very sensitive skin too and have no problem with this makeup!

This place is AMAZING. Highly recommended. Purer than Bare Minerals, which is what I'd used for a while but it made me break out.

  56. All the girls look lovely.

On another note, I agree with a poster on one of these blogs that felt TLC dropped the ball in waiting so long to air Jill's wedding. With all the photos, articles, and interviews, all over the media since the summer, it has become just another episode, a very good one at that, I am certain, but the edge is gone.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Love it I just think the make up was to much and the up and down hair do was great also the just put to much hair in the back but they're beautiful girls no matter what they wear they'll look beautiful in it also can't wait to see the kiss at jessa and Bens wedding congrats and if anybody wanted to know the colors of their wedding it's on the blog and also it's navy blue, gray, coral pink. Is anybody ready for Jill's baby I know I am. Jessa will make a great mom when she's ready. Can't wait to see the kiss for jessa wedding I think. Can't wait to see the kiss. EEEk.

  58. Glam? they all look the same. same hair style. They all look like dolls from precious moments.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I think they all are stunning. However Jana and Jill are more beautiful with less eyeliner. I think for these ladies, less is better. I love their hair. Also liked how Jana was able to fix up those dresses for the bridesmaids....

    ReplyDelete
  60. I'm a bit annoyed by the "infomercial" for Famous Footwear. Michelle's plug seemed a bit contrived...this has happened a couple times now...I just wish the "old style", more natural style of the show would come back.

    ReplyDelete
  61. They all look beautiful !!!
    -Brittany :)

    ReplyDelete
  62. I personally don't think any of the Duggar girls need make up. They are gorgeous with out it.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one with sensitivity issues with makeup. Mine is more with eye makeup. I've tried almost everything within my very limited budget and finally decided to go au naturel because it's not worth it.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Thanks all for the makeup info! It was really helpful (:

    ReplyDelete
  65. Looks like they had a fun experience together and all look beautiful of course. Did they use the salon for hair and make up for the wedding?

    ReplyDelete
  66. That Jinger has some awesome natural curl going on there with tons of body and she is just a sweetheart.

    ReplyDelete
  67. All of these girls natural everyday looks are beautiful. It is a matter of taste to say that they improved their appearance at the salon. They certainly do look gussied up and ready for the special occasion.

    ReplyDelete
  68. I think Jana looks like Grandma Duggar and Jim-Bob better lock Joy-Anna up in her room because every guy from China to Chicago is going to come calling but I think the girl that looks the most like Michelle is Jinger. All those girls are beautiful

    ReplyDelete
  69. I agree with anonymous 26...For Joy Anna's age, she should have a more fun, younger hair do, not an old school teacher hair do!

    ReplyDelete
  70. They all look pretty, buy I agree the make-up is to much. Jinger is the prettiest girl of all and seems she is the least talked about.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Joy's up do looks great. But it should look fancier at the front, ringlets at the sides maybe; and the up do part just looks like a small off set bump of hair from the front, it should be centred and set higher on the head to be seen from the front angle too. Joy's pretty, that can be seen from the front.

    ReplyDelete
  72. I would like to see Jinger without any liner under her bottom lashes, she is so beautiful it takes away from the natural shape and color of her eyes. They all look amazing especially before. Joy's style is adorable!

    ReplyDelete
  73. Very pretty!!! Jessa's hair style reminds me of Erin Bates wedding hairstyle;) i like Joy's hairstyle the most, but not on her, maybe on an older person. That style makes her look like she's in her 30ies.. However, all the girls look lovely

    ReplyDelete
  74. These girls are as beautiful as the most famous movie stars are!! Even prettier!!I just cant get over how beautiful all of them are!!! God has been so good to you all :) Love, sandra

    ReplyDelete
  75. Who would have thought there would be an episode just for the dress, another for hair, etc. The wedding will probably air at the very end of the season. I sure hope they don't do dress episode, hair episode, etc. for Jessa's wedding. This show sure has changed. It's gone more glam like Hollywood shows. They need to get back to what it used to be. Way too much focus on the girls' courtships to the near elimination of the rest of the family.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Is this episode going to be on Youtube? Looks like it would be a fun one to watch. :)

    1. These poor souls have been brainwashed through generations and it's so sad. I grew up in this religion and I'm now 43 years old and still suffering the consequences of their Indoctrination! God approves/loves these girls whether they wear culottes, jeans, or a paper sack! If we all had to earn our way to Heaven, than what was the cross all about?

  78. Unfortunately, Jim Bob and Michelle clearly care about ratings or the show would have a more honest approach in the first place being billed as "reality" TV. These people have a money making agenda so don't be fooled! I think their ratings will drop with loyal followers.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Jana is such a natural beauty she looks better without all that mascara or fake lashes or whatever they put on her. I am glad she doesn't wear this on a daily basis. She is so lovely and beautiful, that heavy eye make up drowns her out.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Wow. I personally think the girls were prettier in the before pictures, rather than after! Modesty isn't just your clothing... it's your makeup too.

My skin is also very sensitive and the only thing I've been able to wear is Bare Minerals. Another plus is I don't feel like I have anything on when I wear it.

  86. Here’s the scoop on why Jill went straight hair for the wedding. The couple were being interviewed for something, & when asked how he liked Jill’s hair, Derick said he liked her hair the way it was at the moment, & he even touched her hair. Jill looked surprised. Guess what - her hair was natural, a little wavy, but not curled with a curling iron. The Duggar girls do what their men want, & how awesome that Derick chose the easiest hair style!

  87. Lovely young ladies, inside and out. Great poster girls for conservative Christianity. I loved their book.

    ReplyDelete
  88. I'm kind of disappointed to these girls. All the fuss about modesty and then they go glam and wear tons of make-up. Seems like a double standard and hypocrisy to me... That whole tv-show, fame and fans -hype hasn't been only good for them, I'm afraid.
