  3. I'm sorry, but there isn't anything vintage about Jill's wedding dress at all. Vintage envokes a period in history, Victorian, Roaring Twenties, Thirties, etc. The only thing vintage that I noticed were the younger boys' newsboy caps. She had a regular lace wedding dress. What look was she going for?

  4. Good video, typical male said at the end said it took longer with lots of helpers. Personally I doubt that statement.

  5. I found JimBob's admission that they try to get free lessons from tradespeople in order to avoid using them in the future very off-putting and unsavory. I felt sorry for the professional carpet layers who had such an unnecessarily long work day. That whole segment of the show really disturbs me.

  6. It would be wonderful if they posted a tour of the two married couples' homes and later, Jessa and Ben's. I so enjoyed seeing the new Duggar home and the Bates' home decor. Anna seems so talented in decorating and childcare. She is such a sweetie!

  7. I agree, he even said I job that he could have gotten done in an hour & a half took him 5 hours because of having to train all the "helpers". Hope he was compensated well for his extra time.

  8. Even though the Duggars get free lessons from tradespeople, I think that by the increase of advertising by being on their show would boost up the number of customers they have in the future. Many who hire professionals don't have the time to do the work themselves.

  9. I don"t think the carpet installers liked the idea of teaching the Duggars how to lay carpet; especially the younger boys. The man in charged did not appear happy to have all those kids there or that it took twice as long to install the carpets. JimBob should not presume everyone is going to be extra patient when a job needs to be done and there are unexpected delays. Anonymous 4 said it best!

  11. There's nothing wrong with asking. If the carpet layer didn't want to go that route all he had to say was, "No, I'm not interesting in working that way."

Most people don't ask and go on to wonder, "what if..."

  12. Jim Bob made 101 % sense in having his boys learn all they can. Jim Bob gets two thumbs up for being a good Dad and leading a carpet laying 101 course for his boys! I hope they all paid attention to what was going on. That was a great learning opportunity for them. What would 'some' people have all those boys do, sit around like it is a spectator sport and watch or twiddle their thumbs, or sit on their hands. Rather Jim Bob is RIGHT ON TARGET!

  13. Just a comment to say the black tile in the door way and the walk way looked very classy. It is a thoughtful touch. Maybe Derick and Jill are afraid to mess up the place if it is supposed to be sold soon. At least these tiles will help them to preserve the new condition of the carpet in this room.
