  3. No, but this summer I was secretly hoping to as we travelled through Arkansas. We even went by their town, but did not stop or search out their home... cause that would have been creepy of us. I did want to, though. ;) I wish I could just live with them for a week and observe their living style. Seriously! I know I could learn so much from them. They are an inspiration!

  5. I have met the Duggars before! It felt like a dream to see them in person after always seeing them on TV!! I met them when they were at Southeast Christan Church in Kentucky. I even saw myself on the episode called 'Duggars Speak Out'! The Duggars are truly amazing! I admire their faith!

  7. I'd really enjoy meeting them. I'd like to ask Michelle how with so many children, does she find time for herself and what she likes to do to relax, unwind, or maybe pamper herself.

  9. Our family would love to meet the Duggar family. Hubby always laughs when we see the show because we think the same way on so many things!

I was hoping to meet them at a family camp this year but they didn't attend. Phooey! : )

We do know one of Anna's sisters and she is a very sweet and Godly woman.

The Duggar family seems very sweet and are a great encouragement to our family.

Thank you for your sweet blog!

  11. The closest I've ever been to a Duggar (lol) was when my Husband called Josh at his car lot...Josh answered and my hubby put him on speaker. Live and in person though...nope I never have met them. I so would love to! I'd even love to meet Amy, and grandma. [= That would be awesome =o] I have a pretty good chance of meeting them someday though...because we just live a couple hours a way from them so...who knows! Maybe we'll bump into eachother at a conference, or ALDI's! :) haha...(we like shopping at AlDI's Grocery too) :o) Maybe us going to Springdale, Fayettvill*, and Rogers will increase our chances of meeting them rofl! We're leaving in 6 days or so! Lord will it =D

  15. No I haven't met them but would LOVE to. They are the perfect example of what a "functional" family should be like. I love how their kids love each other and don't act like it's a burden to help each other out. I also love how patient Michelle and Jim Bob are. If I ever met them, I'd love them to come to my house to help me and show me some of their discipline techniques. I have a 4 year old son that is out of control and nothing we've tried work on him. I would LOVE to see how they would go about "disciplining" him.

  16. No, I don't have children but by closely observing other mothers this is what I have gathered: There really is no fancy technique for mothering, just love them with the love of Christ and discipline them with the love of Christ. -love covers over a multitude of sins. Prayer, and a whole lot of patience is key. I believe Michelle's faith and dedication to Jesus is what her "secret" is. [= When you've got Jesus living in you and abiding with you -he'll work through you. Having Christ in your heart makes a BIG difference -a better one. "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." Matthew 6:33! [=

  21. Have not, but I would love to. We actually live in Knoxville, TN and I often wonder if I'll ever bump into the Bates family and the Duggars visiting! I'd just love a couple of hours to listen to Michelle. I'm a relatively new young mom (26yr old mother of a 3 an 1 year old) and I feel like she has more wisdom to offer than I could possibly soak up! The family is a Great encouragement!

  25. I met the Duggars two years ago at a Home School Conference and they were the sweetest, genuine people. Jim Bob talked to my husband about finances for about and hour and a half and even gave us their home number and all kinds of resources. Their kids were really friendly especially Jill who talked to us for a while about J names since everyone in my family growing up was a J too :). Michelle radiates joy which though to some degree comes across on the show, it does not do her justice. She is one of the neatest people I have met and God's word comes from her mouth effortlessly: she can pull forward more scripture from memory and weave it into discussions than I have ever experienced and I could soak that kind of wisdom in for quite sometime. It was a wonderful experience meeting them. They don't act like stars with any pretense.

  26. I (unfortunately) have not met the Duggars, but would love to! I do know people who live near to them, but not well enough to warrant a visit where I could "bump into" them. (How CREEPY could that be??)

I would probably ask more indepth questions than are asked/answered on the Show (regarding) their religion. I would also just love to "fellowship" with them :)

  28. Yes, I have personally met Jana, Jill, Jessa, Jinger and Joy. I talked quite awhile with Joy and Jinger and I even talked with Jessa on the way to the dining hall at the ATI Conference 2012. They gave me a card and each of the girls signed it. The really cool thing is that we stayed in the same hotel!!! I saw Jinger reading her Bible in the breakfast room. :) I wish I could have taken a picture with them. :( At least I got to meet them. =D

  33. Does anyone know their speaking schedule? I would love for my daughters to meet any of them. We will be going through their hometown this Spring. I respect their privacy enough to not just drop by. Is there a published list of upcoming speaking engagements? Thank you!
