Question: Have any of the Duggar or Bates children ever considered a member of the other family for courting?? They seem so in sync I would have thought that may have (could) happen!
I find your family and your show very sweet and you can tell you all have hearts of gold. It is great to see a show where the family is being shown in a positive light , because most of the reality TV marketed to my generation and those younger than myself, thrives on showing families fighting and in turmoil at all times. You prove statistics wrong by having a show that has high ratings, you prove that a show can be a success without displaying broken families, out of control emotional fighting and outrageous antics.
However, I hope that you will read this and understand what I am saying. Most reality shows, like keeping up with the kardashians, are successful and stay in the headlines by featuring massive fighting and drama between family members 98% of the time. It has become common knowledge that these shows often create drama for the TV and makes it feel less like reality and more like a rated R soap opera. With your shows, while I am not suggesting you bend to conform to the example set by them, seems to never show anyone display any other emotion but happy. While that is awesome, it also can be discouraging. All families strive to be happy, content and thriving however your world seems perfect. While I certainly don't wish for your family to behave badly, everyone is always happy and smiling and positive and in reality it would impossible for you to be this way 100% of the time. I have been seeing more of your daughters on TV lately with the news of the wedding and engagement(congrats by the way!!), and I began to think about how you raised so many girls who are very close in age and I have never seen a single episode that showed the slightest hint of normal sibling/normal teen issues. Surely your girls must have had moments when they broke the rules or rebelled or didn't get along. Now, again, I'm not saying your show should routinely feature moments of family discord, however I feel that it would be nice to see the more real side of the Duggar family. I also am sure you know that most of American teens do not come from families as stable and God loving as yours and while clearly nobody wants your teens to go out causing trouble for the sake of T.V, I do think that showing that you and your children do go through the same occasional problems and sibling/family disagreements, would make the way of life you guys lead seem more realistic and possible in families all across the world. Every episode, when a member of the family is speaking directly to the camera or narrating, everyone is always smiling and happy and perfect. Life is not perfect. That is something no family will ever obtain, a life where nobody ever feels anger or has a bad day. The Duggar world seems like a place where teenagers never rebel against their parents and the rules, where teen girls never argue over even silly things like borrowing clothes without asking or the occasional spout of teen angst. Your family comes off as perfect and that makes it just as hard to accept that I'm being shown a realistic picture of your family as the kardashians constant fighting and drama does. I hope my point is coming across, I think that you guys set a wonderful example and I would assume that one of the reasons for doing this show is that you want to show America that positive, wholesome families exist and that maybe you will inspire other families to try to live a better life. You have inspired that in me, I just feel discouraged at times because I can't imagine, know matter how good of a person I become, that I would be able to have a large family with perfect children who always listen and follow every rule I have set out before them. Humans make mistakes, and I think that if you show a small bit of that human side of your family, it would make a large impact because we would, as viewers, still see the Duggar family we know and love, but would also see that all the Duggar rules we have been shown and taught about over the years, can still work but that sometimes your children didn't follow every rule and learned from that mistake.

Advice about dating and friendships.
Hello Duggar family, okay with you?
Talking about a subject, as young Christians view dating as the customs of the world unfortunately have been incorporated in the Christian community, nominate a book. At first I found it a bit strange the book, especially the title. Literally, I judged the book by its cover, or rather the title, but then explained to me the idea of the book and I read it.
The name of the book is "I said goodbye to dating" Joshua Harris. Yes, the title is somewhat different, draws enough attention from us and, in my case, had a negative initial impact. I thought it were a book condemning dating or something.
It is not. The book addresses the topic of dating starting from a different (and correct) perspective: the Bible. Early in the book the author explains what he will not say about dating and also what he will say; also makes it clear he does not consider dating a sin.
The book points out common mistakes that occur in Christian dating (believe me when I say that we all make at least one of the errors mentioned by the author), shows the worldly customs that have been adapted to it and that keep us from God's will.
If you have to read the book without making a pre-trial (pre-concept) he can change his vision much about Christian dating. My opinion has changed, and for the better, has helped me a lot, especially in times of emotional need, which, unfortunately, is an "evil" that attacks us all.
It was personal, there is the hint of the book. For those who like to read e-books, it can be downloaded here. For those who like to read in printed book, its value lies between 25 and 30 dollars. God bless you all. "

I have been pleased so watch your shows with everything seemingly in place and free from discord. It is refreshing to know that you are blessed with a family raised by Biblical principals and morality. Discipline with 19 kids must be difficult at times. What do you find is the best way to discipline the kids and have you ever used the Biblical corporal punishment when needed. I am a firm believer that is has a place in their development. I have been very disappointed in some of the comments that have been posted under the blog posts about Jessa's wedding such as the several I saw in regards to her dress color and suggestions she was not pure enough, I really think that type of comment is quite disrespectful. Some of the episodes are posted to YouTube, although YouTube and TLC have started removing the latest episodes soon after they are posted. The episodes are available on Amazon and iTunes, but we have been told that readers in the UK cannot access the episodes on those sites. Aside from that, the only option seems to be to wait until the shows air on TV, unless someone from the UK knows of another way to watch them?

With all the media frenzy going on bashing the Duggars I am glad to find out there is another petition going around that SUPPORTS THE DUGGARS! Here is the site: https://www.lifesitenews.com/petitions/defend-the-duggar-family. I am sure a lot of people on this blog would love to support them and let TLC that what this country was built on is still important to us.
I love this show and so wish that I had parents growing up that instilled in me the values that the Duggars have. I ended up marrying a man I barely knew and he has been nothing but physically and emotionally abusive. He can't seem to keep a job whether it be lay offs or what over sixteen years of marriage. I have had enough. I wish I had someone or family to help me. I commend the Duggars for making sure they follow their values and following them. By the way my husband hates that show. I can't imagine why????

I saw the comments about the petition to remove the Duggar program from TLC. There is a petition to keep "19 Kids And Counting" on TLC it is being done by LifeSiteNews, I hope its alright. The new format still doesn't have Grandma's name. Why is she the only Duggar without a first name? I know it probably doesn't bother her - but lots of older people are hurt when they are only known by their title and not given a name anymore. Please consider putting Grandma Mary under her name.

when I was 16 I was told by the dr I had al problem but he didn't say what it was to make my story short at the age of 21 I found out I had cancer I had to have all my girl part taken out .... in my later 30 I found out I had cancer again but I fult both and won it but at age 35 I found out I had a cyst on my brain that make me have seaizuer really bad that the dr will not and can not take out ... I was allway dwn the dump didn't want to live felt like there wasn't no life to live now im 48 ... until your show showed up it gave me power to live what I want to say to the duggers thank you for showing me there is life out there as long as dugger on tv I will never miss their show thank you all for showing me what life ,hope happness and more Teresa wilson

I heard that 19 Kids & Counting was cancelled due to the incident with the "Kissing" on their site. can you please let me know what is going on? I miss seeing the Duggar Family as they truly brought happiness to my life knowing there are people out there that truly do Live God's Way and give me hope that there is a better tomorrow. As a mom of an adoptive child (unable to have children due to my previous cancer) - the gift of life & their voice of standing up for life has me cheering Go, Go, GO GOD!!! Hello. Do you know how I can contact the family? My daughter, Kaylee, who is 10 years old would love to meet them. She is currently undergoing treatment at St. Jude in Memphis for a cancerous brain tumor. We will be in Memphis for 1 more month then back home to Colorado for a month then back out here for 7 months of chemo. i would love to surprise her with this! My only question is I thought I read somewhere online that you "disowned" a family member for being born out of wedlock. Now that the story with Amy came out, are you going to disown her also for being born out of wedlock?

I am wondering if the Duggar family (everybody) is also interested in traveling to the Netherlands to talk about any topic they would like to share with the Dutch people.

At the end of the day you will be married and off serving God together. I also counseled them to strive to have a silver platter wedding on a paper plate budget. It can be done! I was wondering what all the older kids jobs (careers) were? I remember an episode where one of the older boys was a police officer and Jim bob went on a ride along. I also believe Jill is a midwife, but beyond that I don't know what each of them decided to pursue.

Did the Duggar women every consider the impact they could make by cutting and donating their hair to organizations such as Locks of Love, Wigs for Kids, and Pantene Beautiful Lengths who make wigs with the hair for children who lost their own due to cancer treatments or other disorders? What a selfless thing to do.

My family and I have watched your show since the kids were very small it seems like we have grown up with them. I notice something that got my attention you guys use a different version of the Bible. Please consider using the Authorized 1611 King James Bible. The other versions leave out the Blood of Jesus Christ without his shed blood on the cross we would not see the sacrifice he shed for us on Calvary. Because of his blood we have Salvation. Jesus gave his Begotten Son not his One and Only Son. Today there is a Bible to fit every one but God gave us one original Bible men have corrected and corrected to have it say what they want not what God wants. I know you guys have strong convictions that's the way I was raised also but we at least used the right bible.In your devotion time take time to compare the different version and you will see. I am in the process of rewatching the episode of "16 Children and Moving In" where you finish the house. My husband and I purchased a 4600 square foot house with 6 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms that was in foreclosure 2 years ago. The difference is that it is just him and me and our 3 dogs. Do you have any tips on the one female(the one who does all of the cleaning) making a schedule to keep everything clean? I am an avid viewer, love the family and truly appreciate how everyone works together. My son is grown and on his own so I am the only housekeeping option, and I do probably 90% of the yard work on over 2 acres of land, and work around 48 to 56 hours a week in an industrial job. Not an easy schedule to juggle.

I enjoy the updates. i do have a suggestion for top where the pictures. the grandchildren's photos should be smaller than the others OR moved to a section after the original family.
I have yet to see your family using anything but throw away plates, cups and utensils. Do you not think about the waste that your family creates, this is appalling.
I just read on People.com about Michelle's favorite things for Mother's Day gifts. It shows a family birthday and anniversary board with all the Duggar's names and spouses which includes birthdays and ALSO expecting (pregnancy) tags. UNDER MICHELLE'S NAME IS AN EXPECTING TAG!!! I've watch several episodes of the Duggars and an episode of the Willis family, and I've enjoyed really enjoyed both. I like the singing aspect, and I watched the episode that the Willis children did for their mothers birthday, it was so nice that they did that for her.
There needs to be more shows like that on TV because I think it brings a good perspective on life for families, and it shows that people need to reach out help each other, instead of having bad things toward each other, but I wanted to know if these shows could be advertsed that they're on that channel, on other channels, so that people can see and maybe they'll watch these family shows, and see what they're like, and see how these families are together.
