Derick's Statements

Derick Dillard, Israel Dillard, Samuel Dillard, Jill Dillard
Summer 2017

Since posting TLC's statement about Derick Dillard's future on Counting On two days ago, we have received more than one thousand comments from our readers. Many have asked that we post Derick's specific statements about the TLC show I am Jazz.

On August 2nd, referring to I am Jazz, Derick stated the following:
"What an oxymoron... a 'reality' show which follows a non-reality. 'Transgender' is a myth. Gender is not fluid; it's ordained by God."

On October 26th, Derick wrote an article titled "American Progress, Through Understanding and Unity" and posted it to his website.

On November 9th, in response to a question about his October 26th article and his August 2nd statement, Derick stated:
"I pity Jazz, for those who take advantage of him in order to promote their agenda, including the parents who allow these kinds of decisions to be made by a child. It’s sad that people would use a juvenile this way. Again, nothing against him, just unfortunate what’s on TV these days. Jazz is being taken advantage of, as part of a larger agenda. I really have nothing against the kid and wish him all the best in life. I just hate seeing him used this way."

Many have asked how Derick would treat a person who is homosexual or transgender. In response, Derick has stated that he would not treat such an individual any differently than anyone else.

  1. I am in full support of Derrick Dillard. God makes you what he wants you to be. Read Leviticus 18:22 what it says about homosexuality. Instead of pulling Duggars off of television why not pull Modern family or the simpsons or American Dad.

  2. Derek has a right to his opinions & Beliefs just like everybody else. I don't hate transgenders I love them just like everybody else. But what TLC did was wrong for letting him go he had a right to his beliefs just like everybody. I hope TLC gives Derek another chance put him back on counting. I love to see Jill & Derek both on they have been my favorite couple since 19 kids & Counting was on TV. That's all I got to say.

  3. I agree with Derick, Jazz is a boy not a girl. No amount of makeup and the girls clothes that she wares is going to change that. God made him a boy. Can't change DNA. It's not about being mean or political correct it's about God's truth his word it's about standing up for Christian principals. It's about right verses wrong. I feel sorry for Jazz he must be so confused. God created Jazz A boy. Remember DNA can't be changed it's who we are.

  4. I have a newfound respect for Derrick. Love your family and the biblical truths you stand for.

  5. If Derick wants to have a conversation, he should sit down with transgender people like Jazz and listen to what they have to say. And I mean really listen, not just come trying to change their minds, but to be open to hearing their thoughts and feelings, and even to changing his mind.

I honestly don't think Derick would do that, but I hope this is something he would consider.

  6. I wonder if the young man had stated something about the Duggar's faith, if his show would have been removed from TLC's line up. The Duggar family has a whole may need to consider whether their family wants to bring profits to a channel that violates the Word of God and His Truth. His Truth is always true, no matter if one receives it or not.

  7. Maybe Im naive but I DONT see how that is bulling. He stated he didt believe that you could really be transgender. I cant believe he was pulled from Counting ON for stating his beliefs!!

    ReplyDelete
  8. its so sad that if your beliefs differ then this worlds your called a hater and pulled from a TV show.saying being Transgender is a myth is not bulling. I support Derick!

  9. That's it? That's all he said? Where in the world does someone come up with these are "bullying" statements? That "bullying" accusation is a bold-faced lie.

  10. He worked for TLC. Most people who work for a company can not just spout their views and not expect to be held responsible for those views if it reflects badly on the company. He deserved to be fired simply for his arrogance. I think Derick thinks he and his opinions are important. TLC feels differently. As they say, everyone is replaceable. Hopefully he gets a job and supports his family.

    1. He worked for TLC as being a reality star. Reality = real. If he didn't state his views, he'd probably be accused of faking it (although there is a time to stay silent).

    2. He does have a job

      Delete
    3. Of course the NFL players work for a company yet are spouting their views In an awful way

      Delete
    4. And I suppose you back these anthem keepers for expressing their opinions ON the job! This us a Christian family with Christian view points. All he did was say the truth of ho w he feels....just like the rest if em. But Christians aren't allowed to.

    5. Derick answers to God, not TLC, so his first responsibility is to uphold God's standard of righteousness, not TLC's lack thereof.

    6. Do you feel the same way about the NFL?

    7. Do you feel the same way about Colin Kaepernick?

    8. the last time I checked we are still able to say our opinions in the Usa regardless of whom cuts the ck. Many people fell the same as Derrick and Jaz fans are just curious of what makes her tick. Political correct people will bash other views besides their own.

      Delete
    9. Apparently Jazz can state his views and not be judged for his opinion.

      Delete
    10. Derick just stated what the Bible says. It isn't arrogant to view things as God views them. God warns us not to call evil good and good evil. It may not be popular, but thank you Derick for standing up for the Word of God. God's Word will always take precedence over any boss or company that you work for.

    11. To Unknown 7:54 AM: I think if Jazz publicly stated views against the Duggar family, such as: "TLC's decision to have a show like Counting On does not make sense in today's world... the Duggar Family's religion is atypical of normal religious practices in our country"...don't you think that would result is some consequences for Jazz?

      Delete
    12. Wow guys, please brush up on constitutional law. You have every right to expires whatever opinion you may have, you are not however free of the consequences of staying your opinion. As an employee of TLC he was beholden to their rules of conduct. He violated those rules and was fired because of it. None, i repeat NONE of his rights were violated. And as long as jazz doesn't break those same rules of conduct, SHE also has the right to say whatever she wants.

      Delete
    13. People judge Jazz all the time. Being transgender isn't widely accepted and SHE is forced to face judgement constantly.

  11. I have no problems with what Derick said. I totally agree. Also, to the people who said that Derick "bullied a child", there was no bullying involved. Read what he said. He's being chastised because he doesn't agree with a fallacy which society has now decided is fact. And I do think he's being condemned because his views are politically incorrect. I'd be willing to bet that if someone publicly criticized the Duggar's conservative veiws, they wouldn't be receiving such flak.
Personally I think the Duggars should just get off the air and save themselves and their children all this criticism. Iay not agree with all their views, but I do think that they are sincere in their effort to do what is right. I don't think all the fame and publicly is or will do them any favors though.

    1. You're right. There are people out there who run blogs solely for the purpose of criticizing the Duggars and they say some really awful things. I sent a message to the moderator of one of those sites but she ignored me. Even though she posts about how people shouldn't bully teenage 'girls', I guess she doesn't actually care that much about teenage girls' feelings.

    2. And u have to think of it to why the duggers keep endorsing tlc as their platform is beyond me. Tlc supports the lgbtq community which it doesn't fit into the duggers so called morals and beliefs. Doesn't that make u question why they keep putting themselves on tlc??

      Delete
    3. Very well said.

    4. The other reality shows on TLC have the common sense and decency not to directly attack 17, I mean 18, I mean 19, I mean Counting On. Celebrities have attacked and criticized the Duggar viewpoints. They receive flak for it without fail.

      Delete
    5. I dunno, saying your identity doesn't exist is bullying.

      Delete
    6. Agreed! Why is no one being ‘fired’ for judging the Duggars? Because in the end, it’s God’s decision to judge. We all have our own beliefs, whether we voice them or not (This is America, we are FREE to believe what we want!). People need to stop playing God, for it only HIM who can judge!!!

      Delete
    7. I don't think it is appropriate for you or Derrick or anyone to say you KNOW transgenderism is a fallacy when doctors and psychologists have agreed that it is not. The fact that Derrick repeatedly refers to Jazz as "he" and "him" is just plain rude. Finally, he could have all the opinions he wants, but when TLC is the hand that feeds you, probably not smart to call out their other shows by name and continue to make a fool of yourself publicly.

      Delete
  12. Now how are those comments "bullying" the teen in question? Derick is stating some common-sense, Biblical points. It's sad that people are being brainwashed to accept a new "reality" that has no basis in reality. There was no harshness or meanness in his words.

He speaks Biblical truths, whether the public agrees or disagrees. Our World is in a spiral downfall as long as it’s shutting our maker (God) out of everything! Our young children are growing up in a world of tremendous stress, hatred, bigotry, disease and we’re to blame for it! 😢

  15. FYI, the term "homosexual" is an outdated clinical term, that many in the LGBT community deem as offensive.

I am a lesbian woman and also a Christian. I believe that God made me this way. Whether we agree or disagree, we all need to be civil to one another, and be tolerant and inclusive of diversity.

    1. So do you agree or not that Derick can have an opinion that differs from yours?

    2. Well your other lgbt friends have to have the same courtesy for those who are Christian bakers, photographers, etc..who feel they should not take part in weddings.

      Delete
    3. Seriously?? The term “homosexual” is now considered to be offensive? Pretty soon people will not be able to converse with one another at all because there won’t be anything you can say that won’t be offensive to someone!

      Delete
    4. The Bible says a man is not to lie with a man nor a woman with a woman. That's what God thinks of homosexuality so you are misguided in thinking He made you that way. Your belief is outside of Scripture.

      Delete
    5. Yes!! Can’t agree enough ❤️

      Delete
    6. God does NOT make anyone a lesbian. You are deceived. Cone out from them and be separate. God has told me me to warn his people and that is what I'm doing. You have been warned.

      Delete
    7. I feel sorry for you. And I will truly pray for you. You cannot live a life of sin and ask forgiveness over and over and expect to be okay. That’s not how it works. You cannot be saved and be a lesbian. In order to truly be a Christian you have to lay your sins at the foot of the cross, give them to God. Yes, Jesus taught about loving your neighbor and those who are sinless to cast the first stone. That’s not what I’m trying to do, the Bible clearly states that homosexuality is a sin. Read Romans 1:26-28, Jude 1:5-8, 1 Timothy 1:8-11, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, 17-20, and Leviticus 18:22, 20:13.
You be the judge what God says about your life but I highly doubt God made you the way you’re thinking. God bless you and keep you how He made you to be originally! :)

    8. No offense to you personally, but God defined homosexual as a term not psychiatry or psychology. Homo is Latin for same. Homosexual means same sex. It is the correct terminology for the circumstance, regardless of cultural and societal norms. Having said that, as a human being you are created in the image of God as a triune being (spirit, soul, and body) and deserve my respect. While I disagree that God created you this way, I have zero tolerance for slurs/"jokes"/belittling/bullying, etc. It is not bullying to state that I disagree with the LGBT philosophy. By the same token, I expect to be treated respectfully in turn for my beliefs and that I will not be bullied/insulted/belittled/verbally attacked when I state my belief. That's the definition of tolerance.

      Delete
    13. It is not the Anon 4:57 comment that "made the Romans passage confusing". You might be confused because you are regarding homosexuality as a choice that can be unchosen. To put this into perspective, try changing yourself to a homosexual by using willpower alone. Are you able to do this?

    5. He wasn't voicing an opinion. He was attacking one specific person. There's a huge difference between saying "In my opinion, only adults should undergo a transgender operation" and saying "I pity that child because their parents allowed them to undergo a transgender operation".

      Delete
    6. I'm a Christian and I DO agree with Derick when he said gender is ordained by God. A cat can try to be a dog, learn to bark, and start eating dog food, but it was born a cat because being a cat is part of God's plan.

      Delete
    7. It's okay for the Duggars to state their opinion but Derick did more than that, he attacked Jazz without provocation. Think of it this way, I'm sure there are many stars of other TLC shows who are atheists. It would be fine for them to say "I do not believe in God" because that is stating their own opinion. But what if they publicly said, out of the blue, "Counting On is a 'reality' show about people who follow a non-reality. God is a myth. The Bible is not true, and people who believe in it are deluded." That would be an attack, and it would not be acceptable, just as what Derick said was an unacceptable attack.

    1. Anon @ 5:05 thank you for your post you are 100% correct in what you say. It is very hypocritical for you to do what you are calling others out for. If the Duggars feel the same way as Derick about these issues then they need to remove themselves from TLC.

  18. Earlier I had drafted my opinion about the situation but my computer had an issue and didn't.

After re reading Derricks post he said basically what I had said. pertaining to capitalism.

"Capitalism is great. If you agree/ disagree with some product/ idea, you can choose not to support it or even freely encourage others to support/ not support that same thing. They can then think about it and then choose whether they agree/ don’t agree with you and choose to support/ not support that same product/ idea and then be on their merry way. (e.g. politics, proselytizing, business, etc.…) The result of such freedom usually leads to good things." - http://www.dillardfamily.com/2017/10/american-progress-through-understanding-and-unity

Unfortunately the deregulation of Wall Street, Citizens United, etc.. has allowed for 6 major media conglomerates to control everything. TLC is essentially owned by Disney. Perhaps you have read in the news of late, that there have been discussions about Disney purchasing Fox. Minus certain network channels and local networks. Disney has tended to be the most conservative of the media conglomerates but I have noticed a bit of a shake up.

Television is dying. There are so many streaming services. The Duggars are quite savvy I imagine they will find another network or streaming service.

  19. People people people. TLC is a business. TLC's in business to make money. If one of their actors and yes Derek was technically an actor for one of their non-money making shows says something negative About one of their money making shows as a business they're going to get rid of the actor that isn't cooperating. If you were in this business you would do the exact same thing. And yes he bullied a teenager.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I see nothing wrong with what Derick said and TLC is taking advantage of this young man. If Jazz decided he wants to embrace being born male, his show would be gone and some other show would take his place.
I'm sorry Ellie to add another comment to read through. Maybe you can have hubby help you and your mom moderate?

  21. Derick did not bully anyone, in fact I think he stood up for a child; a confused child who's brain hasn't finished developing. Why do you think homosexuality, transgender and any other form of confusion has become rampant? I think it is because adults don't care or can't help these young people who are confused. Just give them a different sex....a different .... and everything will be fine. Sad.

  22. I agree with him. Unfortunately, people who share this opinion are being told it is mean-spirited.

  23. I am another who agrees with Derrick - - on the gender issues but also on the parents who have allowed this. A minor should NOT be allowed to consider any of this until they are adults. And as long as the Jazz agenda is promoted, then Derrick should be able to continue to proclaim God's view on this. Oh well - - - it's admirable and almost a miracle that TLC allows anything Biblical. I'm thankful for that!

  26. maybe its time to move the Duggars from TLC and om to another network that is more willing to be flexible, he just put out his views and we are all entitled to our views, I didn't see any bullying, he thinks people are taking advantage of Jazz and I agree a minor should not be making these decisions as yet wait until they are adults as views do change with age. I think TLC is just looking for a way to get rid of the Duggars.

  29. Ellie, please listen to members of the LGBTQ community and respect their voices, especially when they directly explain to you that you are using an outdated, offensive term. You and Derick will always be in the privileged majority. There is a huge amount of hate crime occurring across the country now related to these issues. People who are marginalized need you to take a kinder, civil stand. If you don't understand their experiences and point of views, I recommend talking with them in person.

  32. Why is it okay for every lifestyle and every idea to be openly flaunted on TV...unless it is from a Christian?

    ReplyDelete
  33. I am a Christian. I also don't believe that the LGBT community are mistakes or wrong. You can't just pick and choose what you want your employees to say. TLC knew their beliefs a long time ago and should have said something about the conflicting (in some eyes) shows. They should have said something like "we understand that one of our shows is in conflict with your beliefs but please don't make a public statement." I think ALL of the Duggars need to move over to the UP channel, like the Bates, so they can be free to state their own personal feelings.

  44. I’m sad that TLC has decided to pull Derick from the show. However, I am not surprised. Almost all of the media is run by liberals and as much as they want to shout “freedom of speech” and “don’t condemn someone else’s beliefs”. They only mean it when those beliefs align with their own. The only reason I watch TLC and TV in general is because I love following the Duggars. TLC tried to pull the show after the Josh fiasco( which is ridiculous because most of their other shows are just as bad as what Josh did, yet they show them as if it’s completely ok). Anyway, they learned their lesson then and had to reinstate the show because we all love the Duggars despite their flaws. None of us are perfect, but the Duggars/ Dillards/ Vuolos/ Forsyths/ Seewalds remind us that God is Sovereign and only with Him can we overcome Life’s obstacles.

  49. If the rest of the adult Duggars agree with Derick then they should publically say so. If they don’t then they are being hypocrites by remaining quiet and staying with TLC. TLC is NOT copacetic with the Duggars values so why are they still on this network? If Counting On is renewed will Jill and her children appear? Will Jill follow her husband or will the TLC paycheque be too big a draw?

  50. Good for Derrick. I'm glad he's standing up for what he believes in. I agree with him. It sickens me how TLC is kicking him off the show. If it's ok for this transgender child to say what his beliefs are then there is no reason why Derrick can't too. This world is falling into the devils wrath and all you non Christian people have no idea. Good for you Derrick and God Bless the Duggars and Dillards. Shame on you TLC for being one sided again when a Christian opens his mouth to the word of God.

    1. Derrick attacked a transgender child; Jazz did not attack him. It's certainly TLC's prerogative to remove Derrick from THEIR show if they feel he does not represent their brand or values. They do not owe him anything. God knew what He was doing when He created Jazz. Derrick should learn to earn an honest living to support his family.

      Delete
    2. Jazz Jennings has not publicly criticized TLC's choice of programming or another TLC star. That is the difference. Derrick can and has been open about his religious beliefs. He crossed the line when he disparaged TLC directly, along with Jazz.

  51. Derrick never signed away his 1st Amendment rights. He has a right to his opinions whether you agree with them or not. TLC is wrong to remove him from the show. Get a good attorney Derrick. In the meantime, our family is turning off anything TLC.

    1. The First Amendment is guaranteed by the government, not a private company. TLC is a private company. Also, the First Amendment also includes the right to free association, which means people don't have to be forced to be around each other. TLC has that right in terms of employing people. TLC has it's own rights. Derek is more than able to express himself - he just has to deal with the consequences of expressing himself.

    2. He named a co-worker of TLC and referred to her intentionally by the incorrect gender reference. If I did the same about a co worker, I’d be fired.

      Delete
    3. I highly doubt Derek has a case. There is probably a clause in their contract that states that if he goes against the network in anyway that he can be fired. Why do you think the Duggers themselves never spoke up against any of the programs on TLC. I highly doubt they agree with any of them but they don’t want to lose their paycheck.

      Delete
    4. You are mistaken, TLC is not part of the government, it has no obligation to uphold the first amendment. The first amendment protects from government intervention, not private or commercial repercussions. TLC has every right to fire anyone for any reason, including talking points they find uncomfortable. What this say is rather that TLC has no respect for freedom of speech within itself. There are no legal ground to sue.

That aside, I have very little doubt in my mind that Mr. Dillard cared one way or the other how TLC would react, he simply spoke out on what he (and I) know the Bible says about sexuality and gender. All this nonsense about biting the hand that feeds you is, in my opinion, rather misguided. Mr. Dillard acted on principal to expose an evil, TLC acted in its best interests, whether we agree with it or not.

I guess I have to ask, was anyone really gobsmacked when they read that TLC sided with another party in this or any other matter concerning the Duggars? I surely wasn't and what I'll be looking for now is the Duggars to act. My respect for the family certainly hinges on whether or not they decide to stay with such a disgusting network. I've never been someone who questioned the Duggars spiritual fortitude until now, they aren't adding and positives to their testimony by taking checks from TLC. But thats just my humble opinion, dime a dozen.

      God bless

  52. I hope the family starts their own website and films and edits themselves in the future and they cut ties with television. They can use the site for ads as well to make an income from it. Whoever wants to watch the show could watch it from their website. They would have to let their contracts with the television channel expire though. Maybe they will do something like that in the future.

  53. I totally agree with Derrick Dillard. However, I am wondering if he really used wisdom when making that statement. I mean, from the information that I have gathered it does not seem as if Derrick was put in a position where he either had to agree with the, "I am Jazz show" or stand up for his beliefs. I just feel as if the Duggars have been given an opportunity to have a platform to share the love of Jesus with the world. This comment just dismissed him from that platform. He should of instead worked on working harder to share the gospel. Instead, he made comments on a show that really had nothing to do with him; knowing that this was going to cause a war. Which, at the end accomplished nothing.

  54. So the if people are agreeing with Derek ( which he is entitled to his own opinions and beliefs) however, what does he feel about Michelle Duggars' sister who is openly a lesbian? Does he say anything to her Has he told her she doesnt exist?? I wonder.....

The war on Christianity deepens. If you are awake to this it is your job to enlighten others which is what Derrick does. But it comes with consequences.

  57. I think that TLC is yet another station that has no problem broadcasting anything sinful but the moment a family wants to talk about their beliefs in God, they are digging for anything to persecute them. But hey keep promoting transgender children, marrying for a way into the us and not for love, whatever haunting shows you list under shows on tlc go. You’re winning at life TLC execs. Whatever brings in the big bucks.

  58. I wish the Duggars and their production crew would get a new network! TLC is awful.

Derick and Jill and everyone else, we love you, we support you, thank you for your boldness and for speaking the truth in love. As always, Romans 8:28 will reign true in your lives.

  59. The first amendment right for free speech covers a citizens right to criticize the government without fear of persecution from the government for what they said.

We live in a free society where people are allowed to voice their opinions. This freedom will not protect them from the consequences of their speech,

We also live in a society where the government requires that employers protect their employees from harassment and discrimination from other employees. Both Derick and Jazz are employees of TLC. If Derick is unwilling to abide by TLCs policies then it is TLCs responsibility to protect Jazz from Derick. They did this by removing him future episodes.

    ReplyDelete
  60. What happened to free speech? When did everyone become so thinned skinned? If you let your child on tv in an "unusal" situation you have to expect people's opinion and as with everything else, Good or bad and learn from it. To the one who mentioned homosexuality, read up on transgender. Unfortunately our free speech comes with consequences depending on his contract. What TCL is doing is also bullying Derrick unless his contract prohibits his opinion. That station doesn't know where it stands. While this show is moral as is TheLittleCouple and a couple of others, they have a lot of nonsense. TLC, you are blowing it, the hand that feeds you.

  69. This whole thing has been crazy to me, why is it that some people can voice their opinions and be praised for "being brave" while others become chastised for it. I'm not saying that what Derrik did was 100% right, however I don't believe he was bullying Jazz at all. I have only watched maybe 2 episodes of "Jazz" and because the show goes against what I believe I just chose not to watch it. And I think that if someone is upset with what's Derrik has said and doesn't agree with him then just simply change the channel and choose not to watch the show anymore. However, taking someone off the show just for voicing what is his truth and his beliefs isn't right, then to not be a hypocrite, you might as well just shut down your entire network because at some point or another someone else will have an opinion that will ultimately offend someone.

  70. The new narrative of the Left/Homosexual/Transgender community is that Derrick "bullied' this young man - yet another LIE. Free Speech for everyone BUT Christians and Conservative as far as these groups and TLC is concerned. I will no longer watch TLC and I am contacting each company that advertises on this bigoted network to let them know I will not buy or use their products. We must PRAY and use our voices and money in a way that promotes God's will. Standing up against this bigotry toward Derrick is something I feel we as Christians must do. Pray for the young-man Jazz and his family and the people at TLC who is using this confused young-man. Pray for Derrick and family.I for one thank God for his boldness in LOVE - standing for God's will is something the world hates. God Bless Derrick!

  75. I see both side of all your coins. But I know his intentions where not to offend Jazz, but he lives 100% biblical, he doesn't watch tv or secular trash. He is giving his opinion as he sees it or learnef. But not coming from a bullying heart.

  76. It does not surprise me what TLC did. I think it was wrong of Derrick to bring up his feelings about transgender and specify jazzin his Twitter. I agree with what he said but he works for TLC. Also he has this platform only because he is married to Jill Duggar. Otherwise there would not be hundreds of people reading his tweets. It makes me sad because pretty soon the Duggar family will be off of TLC. They originally were on there because they were a unique family and having so many children and they were so well behaved. The Lord has been glorified through their show. It would be sad to see it taken off the air. I think that Derek should've focused more on just giving the gospel in hiis Twitter account instead of taking certain sins and giving his opinion. There are many sins on TLC because we are all sinners who need to be saved. We need to repent and have a relationship with Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. I think Derek should've focused on this. It is very sad but I understand why they had to do this.

  80. I’m sure Derick is a nice guy, but he needs to think a bit more with his Godly heart instead of his prideful heart. As one proverb states...Pride goeth before the fall. Meaning when people are too confident, or arrogant they are likely to fail. Derick failed in a big way. Maybe it’s because of his lack of experience, or maybe his naivety. Either way I pity him. He showed such an encouraging heart when he, and Jill first got together. I hope he can see his errors, and makes the appropriate changes. For his sake, and his families.

  81. Derrick has a right to his opinion just as Jazz has a right to hers isn't that what free speech is all about, oh I forgot if you are a Christian in today's society your constitutional rights can be violated because of the fascist progressive far left agenda. They shut down a Conservative speaker coming to U C Berkeley by rioting, causing physical harm to any one their to support this speaker and caused damage to the campus building by breaking windows and setting fire to the school. Tell me again who the fascist's are, they prove it every time they gather to demonstrate whether it's our President or his supporters. Just hoped that TLC would not go down this slippery slope of being intolerant to any one who has an opinion that is different from theirs! Those of us who elected Donald Trump are the same 63 million people who are tired of being treated like we have no voice, we are the same people who are turning the NFL into a questionable business of the future do to massive boycotts. TLC don't under estimate the power of the conservative silent majority we deserve to have our voices heard and if you are going to shut us out then you should prepare for your own ratings nightmare and that would be sad because the main shows I watch are yours!

Although I agree with what Deruck said I also agree that his employer TLC has the right to terminate him for tarnishing his employers reputation by talking about another employee to the public like that. I do see a serious problem with Derick and that is his refusal to work and once again he has started up another go fund me page asking for ten grand to finance his schooling. If you have a college degree you should work to save for stuff like this. God says things also about what you are doing too Derick. if a man does not work neither should he eat, and the Lord also says if a man doesn't work he has denied the faith and is worse then an unbeliever. So people who live in glass houses have to be careful about throwing stones.

Only God knows where the line is, and the challenge for us is to accept that truth, even if we are uncomfortable with it. Derick should be careful that when he is expressing his beliefs, he is also expressing hate.

  87. My conscience says Derick is right. I think he should not get too personal and name names. But he is making a Christian comment on a trend in society. If the word of God is read we do not find medical practitioners administering medications to stop the body from functioning as it would. That seems unconscionable to do to a child. There are huge amounts of money being made and they are earning this from children who can't really know enough to decide or have the money so they could become pawns in larger schemes. Derick was accurate about adgendas and motives. We have to see our challenge to lean more into Christ for mercy to not be blind leaders of the blind and t know the way to stay out of ditches in difficult times.
