Season Finale Airs Monday

Joseph Duggar and Kendra Caldwell with their wedding party

We have some good news and some not-so-good news...

The good news is that Joseph and Kendra's one-hour wedding special is scheduled to air Monday on TLC. The not-so-good news is that the wedding special is also the Counting On season finale. As of right now, a new season has not been announced, but we will let you know as soon as it is.

  1. Do you know where I can watch Counting On without a cable account? I don't have cable and TLC requires you to login in with a cable provider. Same with Bringing Up Bates is there anything for UPTV? Thanks,Kennedy Sim

    1. I second that. I love to keep up with this family but cannot find the episodes onlune.

    2. Amazon prime. It's $2 an episode

    3. We watch both Duggars and Bates on Amazon instant video or ITunes depending on who has it first. We don't have cable either. πŸ™ŒπŸ΄You can buy each episode individually there or the whole season. ☺

    4. We purchase the seasons through googleplay/youtube.

    5. You can get it on sling or psvue. Pace is best, you can watch live or after it airs.

    6. The TLC app along with UPTV are for paying cable customers. Unless you're going to go to illegal websites to watch the show, maybe ask a local friend or family member to record the shows for you. Just find a VCR and pass it to the person that does have cable, along with videocassette tapes.
I have done this for a family member when we're not able to get together and watch at the same time.
Viewership = ratings = money to pay those on the show.

    7. People don't have VCR's anymore they have DVR now

  2. This is episode 13 the last episide was 6 so what happened to episodes 7-12? Little Samuels birth was not covered, yet it was the reason the Dillards came home in the first place. Have TLC axed the Dillards from the show following Dericks twitter rants against a fellow TLC star and transgender people, something isn't right?

    1. I agree this seems strange. I'm thinking the Dillards decided not to be a part of the show anymore (or TLC decided to take them off the show). Or maybe the show is just cancelling all together? I hope not. I really enjoy watching the show.

      Delete
    2. After everything the Dillards have said and done, I would not be surprised if they are not going to be featured any more. Just as well. They need to focus on other things than being "reality stars."

      Delete
    3. In the last episode, Jill was still pregnant. She hasn't given birth yet. The reason it skips is because they are showing part of episode 13 early so we can see the wedding. If they are renewed for another season (and I think they will be), they will show episodes 7-12 and then the full wedding episode that is usually 2 hours long. Samuel's birth will be covered somewhere in episodes 7-12 I would assume since I believe that she gave birth between the two weddings.

      Delete
    4. 9:54- Likely they experienced some difficulties with the birth and would rather not have the details made public.

      Delete
    5. That wouldn't be right if they do how many people say horrible things about the Duggars just because they don't agree with their lifestyle that would be pretty narrow minded of TLC

      Delete
    6. Its all about ratings. If advertisers are seeing that only a few people are watching a show they will stop paying the big bucks required to advertise their products. The show will then be canceled because TLC isnt a charity. Its a business.

      Delete
    7. If you look at the Counting On page on the TLC website, it features all of the couples except Jill and Derick. Deduce from that what you will.

      Delete
    8. Patricia Duong: TLC cares about one thing only- ratings and profit. They have no time for hurt feelings or wounded egos. It's business, first and foremost.

    7. Kendra's sister is the one standing next to Kendra, and the bridesmaid next to her sister is their mom. If you see wedding pics of Kendra's parents, you'll see that's her mom, and she is wearing a bridesmaid's dress. Also, this blog told us that she was a bridesmaid.

  9. Since Kendra and Joe married in September and Samuel was born in july, that obviously means there will NOT be a birth special for Samuel. There seems to be silence pertaining to all things Samuel. No multiple family videos welcoming him, no comments about him from Miss Cathy, no pics of grandpa Duggar holding his new grandson... Just a pic of Derick holding him attached to a heart monitor and IVs! Also, multiple pics of him still wearing mittens. What gives?

    3. The obsession about Sammy`s birth? He's born, there is nothing wrong. Besides, not everyone is comfortable hearing someone's birth story. Some people will get squeamish over a c-section.
If they want to share details, they will. Get over it already!

    4. There is A LOT of concern out there for Jill and Samuel. Continuing to ignore it will just encourage wild speculation and additional attention.

      Delete
    5. There have been other pics of Samuel since the hospital ones. The latest one on here shows him without the mitts.

      Delete
    6. Just stop with all that nagging. Samuel is fine. Just go to Jill and Derrick website. You need to understand you don't need to know everything about there daily routine.

      Delete
    7. People are curious about Samuel's birth because there is a marked, painfully obvious difference in the coverage it received vs every other Duggar birth that has happened in the family. Their decision to strike his birth from the show is begging for attention on the issue. To think there's not a reason for it is illogical.

      Delete
    8. So much time has passed now that if they ever show the birth, they'll probably gloss over anything they don't want you to know.

      Delete
    9. But to keep harping on it isn't necessary, either. If they want to show it, they will. If not, they won't. As others have pointed out, they were making other life changes around the same time and may have decided to keep things more private because they were backing away from the show for ministry reasons.

  10. So I guess someone else will have to enter a courtship, get engaged, married or have a baby for this show to continue. Let's hope it's Jana as she deserves all the happiness in the world!

Even people who enjoyed the previous show are complaining now about this one, and how ridiculous the segments are getting. Without a wedding, this show is running on empty.

    3. Anon 3:59. You can tell TLC by writing to them. Nobody even knows yet if there will be a new season. I hope so! But if we dont speak up and write them, they won't hear us.

      Delete
    4. Everyone saying tell TLC this or that, or boring needs reworked etc need to contact TLC directly. Posting your gripes and frustration here will do nothing. The shows viewing figures are down especially in the demographic range it is aimed at and if that trend continues the show will be cancelled.

      Delete
    5. I don't understand why people say "just dont watch". If they want the show to continue, then TLC is going to need to keep their viewers. If people just keep quiet and stop watching, the show ends for everyone. Constructive criticism is a GOOD thing.

      Delete
    6. Agree with you 3:59!!!

  17. Why are they on such a short time? Their is always so much going on it should be on weekly.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. So much going on like what? If there were so much going on, viewers wouldn't be treated to episodes like how the Duggars plant and tend a garden or interviews asking nonsensical questions like "If Jinger were a cheese, what kind of cheese would she be?", or watching Jinger and Jeremy grocery shop and agonize over what to buy in a tiny Texas grocery store. Without the weddings and "live" baby births, they really don't have much.

      Delete
    2. I'm guessing the family is being a lot more cautious about what they show ever since the Josh thing blew up. I think that's why we get the (theoretically) non-controversial things like gardens and coffee and shopping.

      Delete
    3. I think the draw of the original 19 Kids and Counting show was a Husband and Wife raising a super large family to know and love God and to avoid the pitfalls of our secular society. But the Counting on show is just about young men and woman getting married and having children which is common and we see that all the time in our lives. Maybe if they change the the narrative of the show to the young men and woman, married and unmarried involved in local charity work such as going to nursing homes to minister, bring flowers. Maybe an episode of them baking cookies and taking them with their little sons and delivering the cookies to the local firehouse to give them to them with the young boys getting to see the fire trucks etc. It would be nice to see the show move more to inspirational and to become more encouraging to viewers. I think local ministry and clarity work would change the whole course of the show and encourage others to do it also. Just something to consider.

    4. TLC could have plenty more content: follow Jana around-she's got to be doing more than watching her siblings; follow Derick around at college; film Jeremy preaching; catch up with Ben and his Christian rapping/outreach and John David's daily life.

      Delete
    5. Derick is not in college. He graduated years ago and has opted not to use the professional degree he pursued for 4 years. He is now in an unaccredited church-run yearlong program for "ministry."

      Delete
    6. We've seen them take cookies to the firehouse.
I don't think any of them perform a volunteer service regularly (except maybe those who are EMT's). Who really know what those kids and Michelle do on a daily basis???

      Delete
    7. I agree with both 11:47 and 3:24. As much as I love watching their courtship, weddings, and babies, it would be nice to see some ministry/charity work and everyday life episodes.

  27. What happened to the other episodes that are missing? It went from episode 6 to 13. Were they about Samuel? Jill and Derick must have changed their minds about airing his birth story. I heard Jill and Derick were going to be heavily aired this season due to Samuel. Did these two get fired from the show and weren't allowed their own special? If so, that is terrible. I really admire their family.

      Delete
    3. All due respect anon 7:36, but their court case has nothing to do with missing episodes. They are airing episode 13 this week. They just showed episode 6 last week. These episodes were already filmed a few months ago. Why aren't they showing 7-12? I agree with a poster above and think the Dillard's don't want to be a part of the show or got booted. It is really sad if that is the case.

  41. Hopefully we will see another season but not sure how what they will they will cover besides Joy's pregnancy and then Kendra's pregnancy which i'm assuming will be happening soon if not already. Kinda disappointed that it's basically become "a wedding story and a baby story" show but i guess us fans will take what we can. As for Jill's birth of Samuel, its apparent that it did mot ho as planned and there is shame, disappointment, or some life changing aspect to it because tbey have not shared anything. Not that they have to but they did with everything up to the birth and after. Except events surrounding his birth. When they are ready to share i am sure we will hear all about it. I only say shame because if they made negligent medical decisions then they will get blasted on social media and must want to avoid that.

Ok, fair enough- So, do you think you'd find Paul, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Timothy, Titus, or James filming a reality TV show featuring any of their families for pay and their daughters filming giving birth for money? Christian is supposed to mean Christ-follower. If Jesus wouldn't do it, we're not supposed to be either. How is Jesus glorified in these literal made-for TLC production weddings and the filmed baby births please?

  46. For the sake of the well being of the Duggars and Tyler, I hope this is the last episode and the last season. Maybe they can do a yearly special like they did when it was 14kids and pregnant again? The content is always the same and mostly boring. Besides, this family and extended family need to be away from the limelight and off social media for a while so thier families can get back to a normal life for the sake of the children. Publicity at such a young age can be damaging for thier future..
