    2. I don't know...the world's "noisy" personalities can be the movers and shakers in this world. We've needed them, too, to get to where we are today. It takes all kinds.

    3. Agreed! How boring and how much more lost would we be if everyone was the same!

  15. To my dear fellow mothers, missionary wives and women of God. I would just like to encourage and remind you that there os such a thing as pregnancy modesty. I am a young mom of 3 boys under5 years and understand all the challengings of being a mom and missionary in the same time. I was blessed to have an older woman of God guide me and encourage me to dress modestly during my pregnancies for which I thank God. I am not a legalistic person at all but I do not think that us showing off all our round shapes and every fat wrinkle to the world can create a Godly image to the people we want to save for the Lord. There is not much one can do with clothes clinging to the upper half of the baby bump but we can avoid showing the lower half bu wearing looser tops and dresses or longer tunics. I found it challenging but I prayed to the Lord to guide me and he gave me the idea to buy tunics in bigger sizes and sew them under the arm to fit nicely and add a matching strip of material at the bottom to make it cover my knees. I ended up dressing so nice that my friends would borrow my clothes between my pregnancies. I know pregnancy is a challenging time but we can also use this time to honour the Lord with our bodies. This is really just an encouragement to my dear fellow sisters in Christ. Wish you all the Lords richest blessings and guidance.and I really appreciate the Duggars being an example in many ways to so many people.love andreea

    1. Jessa and Jill please take note, and stop with the skintight t-shirts that show your popping bellybutton.

    2. Andreea S,
What a sweet comment. I wish I had learned modesty when I was expecting my girls so long ago. I didn't have a Titus 2 woman to encourage me and I'm glad you had that woman.
May God bless you as you raise your sons for the Lord.

    3. Children are blessings from God, so why try to hide the shape? I am a Christian and I think it's shameful when women try to hide their pregnancy understand layers of clothing. There's nothing wrong with it.

    4. Totally agree with you! God bless this family and hope all people will think lilr ypu! HAPPY BIRTHDAY JILL!☺

    5. I mean to say that I just hope that everybody should think like you.The world will be different just as Jesus wants us to be different and dress with modesty.

    6. Totally agree with you! God bless this family and hope all people will think like you! HAPPY BIRTHDAY JILL!☺

    7. Completely disagree! What you want to do is fine for you but you have no right to JUDGE what anyone else does or chooses to do, with their bodies or their pregnancies! I am a 50 year old woman and think this type of thinking is dangerous and belongs in a cult where women are second class and responsible for what men do and think. It's sad and sickens me that so many believe this way. There is no difference between this and the middle east thinking, so you might as well wear a burka!

    8. Absolutely not Shauna! Andreea was not being judging but offering godly advice. God'said Word instructs the Christian to be modest. There is nothing "cultish" about choosing to dress in a way that honors God.

    9. Agree with you Regina, disagree with Shauna. I respect everybody but I like to praised God in all areas of my life. GOD SEE US INSIDE AND OUTSIDE.20 years ago Jesus change my life completely. I was born again because I don't practice what I used to do before. I enjoy my Life in Jesus'name. Before I didn't dress in a modesty way now that I'm Christian I do. I DON'T FOLLOW RELIGION because it doesn't saves. Only thru Jesus we can be saved.

    10. Shauna -- take a chill pill. No one's judging here. It's interesting, though, that the Duggar girls can's show their knees or shoulders, yet once they're pregnant, bring out the skin tight t-shirts. How anyone can call that modesty is beyond me.

  16. When I met Jill in person, she was as sweet and nice as she is on TV. I actually saw her twice, but only met her once in person. I met most of the Duggars in August 2013 in Columbus, OH and then again at a book signing in March 2014. I then got a thank you postcard from Jill & Derick when I sent them a slideshow with pictures from their courtship and engagement soon after they got married.

  22. Heard Joy Anna is geting married this weekend. If thats the case that means they lied about the october 28 day.
I hope the rumours are not true.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. They didn't "lie" about the October date. They used it as a placeholder date so they could create that registry. They said right on the registry that it was not the actual wedding date. The real date will be probably be this weekend or next.

      Delete
    2. Stop reading/believing tabloids then accusing the Duggars of not being truthful! They said from the beginning that the date in their gift registry was not the actual date of the wedding. It is Joy's birthday and they just used it as a place holder. As far as them getting married this coming weekend, that is just a rumor! It may end up being true but as of now it has not been confirmed.

    3. The Oct 28 date came from a wedding registry online. The registry said clearly that the date was not accurate. Presumably, they had to put a date in so they used her bday.

The family has never announced a wedding date publicly. I am sure it's a security issue, the don't want random fans showing up (well intended or not). We will find out the date after the fact.

    4. It has been reported that there was a bit of confusion over the weekend in question, and it would seem that Joys wedding is next weekend (may 27th) again this is unconfirmed, but watch this space.

  25. Along with Jana, she has had to work hard at raising her younger siblings. I never thought that was fair, to ask your daughter to give up some of her childhood to raise children that were not hers. You asked for impressions, and that's my honest one.

    1. Agreed - Those girls have had to shoulder more than their fair share of raising children while more and more babies came. I wonder if the girls ever had time to play freely or just sit and stare contentedly at clouds, once they were old enough to be given babies and toddlers to tend?

    2. I was older sister in big family,,,and I helped with the three younger siblings,,,,,,,but I can't imagine if there had been 10 or 12 more babies to help out with,,,,,one after the other....OMG.....I had never thought of that....

  31. I met Jill through a conference the Mally family hosted several years ago- she is a lovely and sweet young lady who I look up to and have enjoyed the time we have spent together. Her heart for ministry and for others is outstanding. Praying for her as she pursues God's will for her life and for her little but growing family!
