Tonight on 'Counting On'

Tonight on Counting On "Meet the Parents," Jinger Duggar--along with Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar--flies to Laredo, Texas, for her first visit with Jeremy's parents. Although she has chatted with them via Skype and telephone, she confesses in the video clip below that she is quite nervous to meet them in person.

Also on tonight's episode, John-David Duggar gives Joy-Anna Duggar her first flying lesson, and Jana Duggar plans a graduation party for Jedidiah Duggar, Jeremiah Duggar, and Joy.

The show starts at 8pm ET/7pm CT on TLC. Tune in at 7:30pm ET for an overview of last week's episode and again at 11pm ET for a rerun of "Meet the Parents."

  1. I will miss the episode but I'm sure Jana will do a great job to show how proud everyone is of the kids.
Joy has spunk and John David the kindness and patience of Jobe.
I'm sure the visit will go well with Jeremy family. They are kind, open and gracious people.
I won't miss the talk Jim Bob will have. Jeremy is not a child and Jinger is better off around his family to develop into the woman she will become.

  2. Not sure how TSA is going to enjoy finding a zillion nails in a suitcase, if they're flying and she plans to take that in carry-on.

  3. Did they run out of closet space? Or can they not resist buying clothes? Sure didn't have that many when 19K&C began.

  4. Am I the only one who found Jimbob abit awkward in the preview where they went for dinner etc. He kept mentioning how their not ready to quote step spit and saying Jingers partner needs another job to support Jinger. But he never questioned Ben's job when he still has none..

  5. Lily and Ellie, could I please respectfully make a comment about how the names are given in the blog posts..... I am wondering why the first names are not grouped together, and then a last name given? For example, under a picture of Ben, Jessa and Spurgeon in a previous post, you have "Ben Seewald, Jessa Seewald and Spurgeon Seewald, instead of "Ben, Jessa and Spurgeon Seewald." As they are all Seewalds, and are the Seewald family, wouldn't it work to put it the latter way, rather than the former?

  6. Joy, why aren't you going off to college instead of taking care of your younger siblings?

  7. I think that Josh and Anna should be out back in the show. After all, Josh claims to be repented. Forgiveness and Christianity go hand in hand, don't they. They should have been at the graduation party. The sisters that were molested should have gotten counseling too. The love and forgiveness is something that should be setting shown on TV.

    1. My guess is they are at family gatherings and Anna is probably pregnant. They know the backlash they will receive in the public eye so are more than likely choosing not to be filmed.

    2. When Jesus or a church run a television channel, I say they go for it. As it is, I don't believe TLC is run by The Lord.

    3. He is in a law suit ATM. TLC wouldn't want that.

  8. Did Jinger call Jeremy's parents her in laws? They aren't married yet

  9. It is one thing to get engaged so quickly. But it is hard to believe Jinger got engaged before meeting Jeremy's parents, and especially before even going to Laredo, where she is talking about spending her life. It does seem like a snap judgment.

  10. Is anyone else annoyed by the fact that Jinger's beautiful artwork is not geographically correct? Everyone knows that there are no U.S. States below Texas....
I am an artist and her portrayal irks me. The swirls between the hearts took precedence over correct geographic placement.

  11. I find it sad that the family puts SO much emphasis on being in a relationship. Anyone else in a relationship has to go on with their live; they don't cut their workload down to one job a day. There's more to life than guys and it's sad to see that nothing is as important as being in a relationship.

    1. But the relationships lead to marriages which lead to huge families which lead to armies on the right side for Jesus! Changing the evil ways of the world one big family at a time. Just think of all the unpleasant things that could be eliminated from everyone's life if we all conformed and procreated like the Duggars!

    2. Yep! Worked really well for them, didn't it? Kids who are shining examples and credits to their parents. Well, with maybe one exception....

  12. She sure was wrong about "bachelors not having anything on their walls." Baaaaaabe had photos everywhere, too.

    1. Yeah, because his mom and/or the producers came a day early to buy picture frames, print pictures of him with Jinger and place them around the apartment.

  13. Jinger seems very thoughtful and very happy in her relationship with Jeremy. She deserves a really great guy like him!

  14. I just want to say amidst all the negative post how much Michelle and the rest of the young ladies have helped me in my personal walk. You have been such an amazing example for how to be classy and modest and gentle in spirit. Your life is a ministry thank you for sharing it.
