    2. i have read some comments that have not been very positive from her. she has never been a favorite and after reading some of the comments ( i can only assume they are truly her comments - never know with mainstream media) i am even more disappointed in her. i hope she realizes what she has in the Duggar family. at 30 she is certainly old enough to appreciate the Duggars and what they stand for.

    3. Perhaps there are many things that the Duggars stand for that she does not agree with. She is after using birth control, which is against the Duggars' creed.

    4. She didn't "bad mouth" Jim or Michelle she talked about Josh. Which in all honesty is completely understandable. They were very close growing up and I think she felt betrayed by the entire situation and the fact she found out through the media. She is who she is and doesn't apologize for it and Jim Bob and Michelle have always seemed pretty tolerant of her (they went to her wedding even knowing she doesn't observe all their beliefs). Also considering Michelle and Jim Bob were upset with Josh I doubt they're holding her outburst against her.

    5. Maybe Amy doesn't "stand for" the same things the Duggars do, especially after the scandals. If anything, she knows that if she wants a TV camera on her, or wants a TV paycheck, her relatives' houses are where it's happening.

  6. My heart aches for the 'old duggars'. I had been so encouraged and uplifted by them for not being in worldly ways that I was trying so hard to get out of. Now I feel so confused by them.

  7. I rember how they used to pray about everything and I would pray along. I'd like to see them gather their kids and read bible stories to them like JimBob and Michelle used to do with their kids before bed. (Bible time)

    1. TLC probably won't allow them to show the religious part of their lives anymore because it will "offend" certain people. Sadly, this is what the world has come to

    2. Yes, I have to agree. Instead of storylines around their faith they now center on typical worldly things (i. e. mundane routine tasks, improving physical appearances, visiting and making new friends, etc.) Rather disappointing I know. Things don't seem to center around the cross anymore, but rather themselves. Just my observation and opinion.

    3. I think their faith is a given. They have talked many times on where they stand. As a Christian myself, I find it more interesting to see how they use their faith in everyday life. They are in the world, but not of it. Why would every show need to be centered on the Bible when their solid foundation is obvious? Some shows, yes, but not just a running dialogue of Bible verses. We live real life.

    4. @4:56. If as you claim TLC won't "allow" the Duggars to show the religious part of their lives, yet the Duggars continue to stay on TLC for the money then what does that actually say about the Duggars? You can't serve God and Mamon. It is 100% the Duggars choice to stay on reality tv. It's not "what the world is coming to". God has given us all free will. The Duggars are willing withholding the "religious part" of their lives for fame and fortune.

    5. Yes, we live a real life, but that should not include things that go against the Bible teachings that we stand strongly for (if we choose to stand for them). If you're showing the world how you act on Sundays, and then the other 6 days of the week you're doing things that nullify that, then you have a problem.

  9. What you remember is a fantasy version of the Duggars. Now is still manufactured, but a little more focused on stimply getting TV ratings, which is not working.

  15. I saw pictures of amy at a nail salon. And it looked like The film crew was there? Is there another amy special coming soon?!
Also it's in the rumor mill that amy and Dillion king will be on celebrity marriage counseling on MTV. Any truth to that?( You can never trust the rag mags!)

  18. Love Amy! Glad to see she is getting her own show with TLC or MTV. It is said she is going on a counseling show with her husband and has been filming in California for 6 weeks. It will be great to catch up!

  19. I used to really enjoy Amy's appearances on the show. However, now she seems so distant from the Duggar family. Since Amy's married, TLC never includes her and her new husband on the show. Well for that matter we don't even see grandma or Amy's mom anymore. Amy seems so secular and liberal these days. Happy 30th Birthday Amy!

  20. A counseling show? Meaning they are counseling people or they are receiving counseling?

  21. From what I read about Amy (if true), her lifestyle differs greatly from the Duggars and not just about minor things like skirts and chaperoning.
