  1. I just want to kindly ask you why can't Jana have a picture of just herself and not one holding someone else's baby? Thank you. I love your blog and appreciate you ladies keeping us all informed.

  2. I know it's totally their decision and I think it's fine:side hugs are a thing of the past.

    1. I can't wait to hear Michelle & Jim Bob's explanation as to why full hugs are now OK.

  3. So now of course i'm wondering if the dillard's are currently expecting and maybe that's why they are coming back to the states to have the baby? (derek said something quick in the promo about having another baby) Also now wondering if the 3 oldest single duggar boys are dating? (with the hint tossed in on the july 27 blog post)...???

  4. Derick is talking with his mouth full. What did he say about "another baby before next year?" Can't make it out. "Shouldn't have" or "Should have"?

    1. Can't understand what he said either. Played it a few times. I give up.

  5. That is NOT a side hug. Maybe it's time for the parents to start telling us a different story about what courting really involves in their family. Don't tell us one thing but show us another. Your viewers have eyes.

    1. The parents have always said each child makes his/her own decisions about that the level of contact before marriage. What's to explain?

    2. The parents have always said that the kids are free to choose their own boundaries during courtship. This is nothing new.

    3. I think they've realized that as their adult kids branch out, and start courting outside their usual circle, certain standards (like hugging) are going to have to change. That said, none of the Duggar kids have ever been "free to choose their own boundaries," as has been reflected in the more or less identical standards for all of them. I very much doubt this would be the case if they felt free to make their own choices. They've only ever paid lip-service to the idea.

    4. Yes, the parents have said that, but I remember Michelle freaking out when Jessa and Ben held hands while praying before a meal at a restaurant. Jim Bob didnt seem to think it was a problem.

  6. I really hope they arnt going to continually going to ask John, Joseph and Josiah etc about courtships. I doubt they're in one and the last two seasons they have constantly asked the single ones if the if they're courting. Not hating but it's getting old and boring, just sending my feedback..

    1. Also, for how long are Jenna and Ben going to repeat that they "have a heart for adoption"? I mean, we got it, now please until you do adopt a kid, can we please talk of something new?

      Delete
    2. If they do adopt, I hope the background of the adoption place and their standards and procedures for prospective parents are thoroughly disclosed. I would not want to see an adoption procedure glossed over for TV, because that is not fair to all the other parents out there waiting to adopt. It's not an easy (or inexpensive) process, the wait can be very long, and there are qualifications. That is, if you adopt through an agency that doesn't cut corners for some reason. So please, TLC, don't make it look simple, like going to pick out a new car or something. Fully explain why these kids in particular were able to adopt, if they do.

  7. It's a good thing that Jinger got engaged to save the show.

    1. I know. If someone didn't get engaged, someone would have had to get pregnant. Or at least keep up the TLC teasing about it. A lot of pressure when you're on TV!

  8. Potential new relationships? Are they going to keep asking the same questions of past three seasons or actually show us new relationships?

    ReplyDelete
  9. I can't wait for the new season! I especially hope there is more on Josiah and Jana! :)

  10. Who else thinks that "potential new relationships" for the guys means asking them if they're courting and the guys saying no??

    1. Me. Keeps viewers watching the show anyway, but bums everyone out making them think there is something new when there isn't. (frown)

    2. Games TLC plays.

  11. Thanks for the update, but...
Why not include Jana in the list of potential new courtships?

    1. I noticed that too. Wonder what it means.

    2. Maybe she just has not met anybody yet. Maybe she doesn't feel ready for it? Even if she is older than the others, it doesn't mean she should be married before the others, if she is not ready yet.

  12. Potential relationships for JohnD,Joseph, and Josiah...WHAT?...That would be awesome, I really hope so. We have much to look forward to.I pray we will all get to go along for the ride🤗Blessings🕇

    1. I doubt the guys will have girlfriends on this new season. Also doubt Jessa and Ben will adopt.

  13. Congratulations Jinger and Jeremy. Please include Josh in the pictures and/or video of your wedding. He is not dead and hundreds of thousands of your fans still pray for both him and Anna. Exciting times for the whole family. God bless.. Wish I could see your wedding sooner here in Australia :(

  14. But there's no news about Jana :/

  15. I'm so exited about the new season. Especially hoping that Jana, John David, Joseph and Jeremiah will be able to move forward with their lives. Move forward in Faith!

    1. Why Jeremiah? His twin not?

    2. Maybe Anonymous 12:07pm meant to say "Josiah" instead :D

  16. Well there goes Jinger's career selling cars. That was what she was doing til now, right?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I doubt Jinger's heart was ever in selling cars. That was what TLC had her do for that one episode, and, like used cars are apt to do, it backfired, with that made-up buyer.

  17. Why potential relationships for the guys but not Jana???? What about Jana????

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Maybe she's already in a courtship!!!! Remember how last season of counting on jinger was pretty hush hush about a courtship? Maybe that's what happening with Jana?!!!

      Delete
    2. Maybe Jana doesn't want her love life to be exposed like that. Or maybe she has not met anybody she liked enough to enter courtship. I don't think she's left out. I think she is juste more discreet.

  18. Can't wait! Sounds like an even better season! Thank you for the update!

  19. Whoa, first full-on frontal hug I think I've ever seen on this show! At least with the courting kids. I love it. :)

    ReplyDelete
  20. This makes my heart happy! I love having the Duggar family in my home!

    ReplyDelete
  21. "Potential relationships"? Not necessarily a courthship at all. There's a teaser here and a play on words. I'm sure those men aren't involved in courtships in any way.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Ellie, do you feel that Jana is being left out?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Yes, Derick's comment about having another baby by next year...that's sure leaving it up to God, isn't it? They sure are NOT doing that. All these rules about such a private and personal decision between two married people is ridiculous, IMO. They are so NOT modest about anything.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Again...nothing really about Jana. Maybe she should move near Michaela Bates and broaden her circle of friends.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I really hope that the Dillard's take into consideration the Zika virus when growing their family. It is not something to mess with. If they are planning on remaining in the hot zone for the virus they should think twice about another pregnancy. Also, in the home tour that Jill gave Jessa in the season finale I didn't see any mosquito nets above the beds... that is a simple precaution to help protect them from mosquito borne illness. It doesn't seem like they take the virus very seriously.

  26. Looking forward to the new season.
Jana will announce once it's time.
I must agree i do wish she lived closer to the bates family. The college is close.
Feel bad for her with so many of us wanting marriage for her.
She needs space and time to find her path.
My daughter takes a lot of well wishing to with a grain of salt.
Her time will come and until then she is following her path.

  27. I'm pretty sure the potional courtships will be more like asking them awkward questions while the kids give cryptic answers..same as last season
