Duggar-Sized Tree Fort

When John-David Duggar and Joseph Duggar hear that Jana Duggar is hoping to build an outdoor playhouse for the kids, they come up with an even better idea. What begins as a simple structure sitting on the ground quickly turns into a Duggar-sized tree fort. Take a look at these two videos:

Recap: "Jinger Flips

Jill & Jessa: Counting On "Jinger Flips"
  • Jessa heads out on an outing at Mama Carmen’s coffee shop (which funds an orphanage in Central America that is run by Mama Carmen) with Anna and Jana, while Ben bonds with Spurgeon. “Yes, I am just a little bit nervous about that,” admits Jessa.
  • The new dad mistakenly calls it “babysitting,” but Jessa corrects him. “I’ve been informed that wives don’t like it being called babysitting,” says Ben.
  • “My husband was not available to babysit today, so I thought I would just bring Meredith along,” jokes Anna when she and Jana arrive at the Seewald home to pick up Jessa.
  • When Jessa returns, she is thrilled to find Spurgeon asleep in Ben’s arms.
  • Meanwhile, John-David, Joseph, Jed, and Jer take Jinger on her first auto auction business excursion. She has visited the auction many times before, but this is the first time that she plans to purchase a car of her own. The boys show Jinger the ropes of buying used vehicles.
  • Did you know that Jinger is the only lefty in the Duggar clan? John-David says she is also the most passionate about serving in prisons and juvenile detention centers. And according to Jessa, she enjoys the fast pace of big cities.
  • When it comes time to bid, Jinger raises her hand at John-David’s cue. She scores a Honda Pilot at $3400 and starts the flipping process immediately.
  • Joy helps Jinger with detailing and deep cleaning, while Justin and an adult family-friend do the mechanic work. She only ends up having to spend $100.
  • Jim Bob has purchased a lot on a main highway for the family to park the cars that they wish to sell. Jinger takes her car over there and sells it for a profit of $500. She hopes to flip more cars in the future.
  • Jinger says that she and her siblings are encouraged by their parents to gain as many life skills as they can.
  • When asked if she is interested in anyone, Jinger’s response is: “I’d rather not answer that question.”
  • Twins Jana and John-David say they have a special bond. Jana says she would trust her brother to find her a husband. She also hints that John-David could have a relationship on the horizon.
  • Meanwhile in Central America, Jill and Derick are adjusting to life on the mission field with the teething and mobile Israel.
  • Long-time fans of the show know that the Duggars are huge pickle fans. Jill and Derick give Israel his first pickle, and he enjoys it, although his facial expressions show that he is surprised by the strong taste.
  • Jana, who is trying to come up with ways to convince the kids to spend more time outside, considers building a playhouse. John-David and Joseph suggest a Duggar-sized treehouse.
  • “Maybe you can draw it up and show me kind of what you’re thinking, because I’m not quite gathering it,” shares Jana. The boys come up with an impressive sketch, complete with a bridge and a wrap-around porch. It’s time to get to work!

Jinger Duggar's Facial Expressions

Recap: Date Nights & Bright Lights

Jill & Jessa: Counting On "Date Nights & Bright Lights"
  • Jessa takes six-week-old Spurgeon to visit Sierra, a family friend who helped plan Jill and Jessa’s weddings. She had her fifth baby soon after Jessa delivered Spurgeon. Jessa says she is amazed at the energy level that Sierra is able to maintain as the mother of five little ones.
  • Joy chooses a new pair of glasses, with help from Jill and Derick (over videoconferencing) and Jennifer. She ends up purchasing black frames with green on the inside.
  • The Duggars pack up Christmas gifts for their annual trip to Central America. This year, Jim Bob and ten of the kids are going (Jinger through Johannah, minus Joseph). They pray together before leaving.
  • While in Central America, the Duggars meet up with Jill, Derick, and Israel.
  • At home in Arkansas, Jana and Jessa discuss ideas for improving the lighting in the Seewalds’ home. “When it comes to getting something done, you’ve gotta get Jana involved,” says Jessa.
  • After the plans are made, Ben, Joseph, Jana, Jessa, and Peter (a family-friend) get to work installing recessed can lights in the master bedroom.
  • As the eldest Duggar sister, Jana has done a lot of home improvement projects. “I know it’s kind of random, but I love it!” says Jana.
  • Where does Jana see herself in five years? Click here to watch the scene in which she shares her answer.
  • According to John-David, Jana was very outgoing as a child. He also shares that she recently delivered a calf.
  • When the producer asks Jana what three items she would need if she were stranded on a desert island, her response is: “cheese and coffee…and maybe a sibling.” But her brothers and sisters have other ideas.
  • “Like any woman, if she has her purse, she could probably live off it for three months,” says John-David. “She needs a guy,” adds Joy.
  • Jana and John say they consider Jessa to be a taskmaster. According to John, Jessa is great at “making sure that everybody gets the stuff done that they need to get done.”
  • Jessa says she has “firstborn tendencies. “I think after so many kids, it kind of starts over,” she jokes.
  • Later, Jessa and Ben go out on their first post-baby date, and they take Spurgeon along. They enjoy a meal at Tacos 4 Life, a restaurant that donates money to feed hungry children in Central America. The Seewalds plan to start the process of a domestic adoption very soon.
  • Michelle, Anna, Jana, and the little ones make signs to welcome the rest of the family back from Central America.

Duggar-Sized Feast

During this week's episode of Counting On, Jana Duggar, Jessa (Duggar) Seewald, Jinger Duggar, and Joy Duggar pick up ingredients at Harps Foods for Jessa's fall feast. On the day of the feast, Jessa scrambles to put the turkeys in the oven before her sisters arrive to help her prepare the rest of the meal.

Jessa admits that she rarely cooked when she lived at home. "Jill and Jana were so good at it, and it was so easy for them," says the new mom. Now that she's married, she cooks a full meal a couple times a month. The rest of the time, she and Ben, who are focusing on saving money, snack on foods such as yogurt and eggs.

Recap: At Home & Away

Jill & Jessa: Counting On "At Home & Away"
  • "Having my own little son, it's a really joyful thing," says Ben. The new dad says that fatherhood has brought him out of his comfort zone but that it has also been a huge blessing.
  • At four weeks old, Spurgeon has his first photo shoot, courtesy of Jinger, who has been interested in photography since around age 15.
  • Jinger takes Christmas-themed photos of Spurgeon and then snaps pictures of Jessa, Ben, and Spurgeon.
  • Jessa's sisters say it's weird to see Jessa as a mom and that sometimes she talks about things that make them feel awkward, such as her baby's bodily functions.
  • Anna, along with four-month-old Meredith, heads out on her first visit with Josh since he entered rehab. Last summer, when she found out that Josh had been unfaithful to her and that he had accounts on websites for those seeking to cheat on their spouses, Anna says she felt like her world had been shattered.
  • Josh and Anna decided together for Josh to enter a rehab facility. Anna says it has been good for the two of them to get help separately but that it has also been difficult to be apart.
  • "It's not anything I would have thought I would walk through," shares Anna. She says she is excited to see Josh but that it will also be very painful.
  • To prepare for a fall feast she is planning for her family, Jessa goes shopping with Jana, Jinger, and Joy. Although they have been married for one year, this is the first time Jessa and Ben will have Jessa's entire family over.
  • Jessa suggests store-bought rolls, pumpkin pies, and stuffing. "We cannot buy everything pre-made, guys," says Jinger. "We have to make it look like we know how to cook, even though we don't."
  • At the grocery store, the girls laugh that "family size" portions are never enough for the Duggars. They usually need five or six.
  • The gals stock up on butter for the feast. "My philosophy about butter is the more the better," says Jessa.
  • In Central America, Jill and Derick are adjusting to their new life on the mission field. Jill gives viewers a tour of their three-bedroom house, which has some modern conveniences but is also very sparse. After seeing a cougar in their neighborhood, the Dillards are being very conscientious about their safety.
  • On the day of the big fall feast, Jana, Jinger, Joy, and Johannah arrive early to help Jessa, who tries to impress her sisters by having the turkeys in the oven before they arrive. Jana rescues her by cutting slits in the roasting bags.
  • Johannah, who has recently been turning away from her tomboy ways and spending more time with her older sisters, makes the green bean casserole.
  • The family comes over and kicks off the feat by sharing what they are each thankful for. Joseph, who is in East Tennessee completing a one-year college program, and the Dillards join via videoconferencing.
  • Anna says she is thankful for Grandma Duggar and the example she has set of focusing on Christ during hard times.
  • "I just got back from visiting Joshua," Anna shares with the family. "And he loves each one of you guys very much and is just really grateful for a family that is willing to talk straight and to grieve when you have fallen but also to love and forgive and to have hope."
  • "This visit was great because it definitely gives a lot of hope," continues Anna. "But...the weight of everything is also there. Definitely, it drags me deeper to my faith. God's grace can give me the strength to love Josh when others would say that he doesn't deserve it."
  • John says that he still loves Josh and talks to him on a regular basis but that their relationship has changed.

Duggars on Life, Love, and Forgiveness

This week's issue of PEOPLE Magazine features seven of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar's 19 children, who, along with Jill Dillard, will star in the upcoming season of Counting On, set to premiere March 15th at 9pm ET/8pm CT on TLC.

The Duggar siblings speak on a variety of topics, including their current career endeavors, their love lives, and the forgiveness they have extended to brother Josh.

Jinger Duggar, 22, reveals that she has entered the family used car sales business.

"I started watching them, and all my little brothers were making a lot of money," she tells PEOPLE exclusively. "I decided to get in on that."

Jinger, along with Joseph Duggar, 21, and Josiah Duggar, 19, are also working in prison ministry. (You may remember that Anna's family, the Kellers, are also involved in prison ministry.)

John-David Duggar, 26, is a volunteer at the International ALERT Academy, a Christian organization based in Big Sandy, Texas, and a part-time police officer, and he is also involved in the Duggar family real estate business, which is in its fifth generation.

Joy-Anna Duggar, 18, works alongside her siblings in helping Jim Bob remodel residential and commercial buildings and also babysits for family and friends.

Josiah, who briefly courted Marjorie Jackson during spring and summer of 2015, shares why that relationship ended. "We were just trying to follow God's lead on everything," he tells PEOPLE exclusively. "She didn't feel that it was the right timing then, so we called it quits for a bit."

On forgiving Josh, who has recently completed his rehab program and is back home in Arkansas, Jessa and Joy say that they have forgiven their older brother but that it will take time for him to rebuild their trust. "We love him very much, though, and we are very hopeful for the future," says Jessa.

Josh has now returned to Arkansas, where he will continue professional counseling and focus on rebuilding relationships with his family.
