  2. I wonder if Derick has asked Jill to tone down her makeup. I don't remember her looking so plain before. She needs just a little touch. Love them and I hope Derick is as nice as he seems. He seems just about perfect, especially for Jill.

Thank you to whomever downloaded this . I really appreciate it. I also want to thank the Duggars for the positive examples they are setting for the rest of us. We know they are imperfect, yet through it all they continue to strive to live the gospel of Jesus Christ. Thank you again.

  10. Love the show. I love what they stand for. Just curious though, someone told me that the Duggars are Mormans. What religion are they really?

  12. What about a dowry? Does Jim Bob have to give Derick a dowry for Jill? What about Jill's money? Does she personally, as a legal adult , have an income of her own from 19 Kids...? Would someone who knows please clarify their belief system about this? Did Mr. Kellar have to give one to Josh for Anna, who clearly didn't have 19Kids money? I would appreciate an explanation, even in general, about their religious custom regarding this matter? Thank you

  15. Hi, I am a Christian and agree with most of what Michelle teaches her children but she seemed to go way overboard on how Jill and Derick hugged when they met at the airport. She seemed very disappointed that they had a full-on hug instead of a side hug saying "I'm sure they won't let that happen again". Come on Michelle I want to take you seriously but you really have to ease up on the hugging thing. My husband and I saved sex and intimacy for marriage and are glad we did but we hugged a lot during courtship and it was lovely and pure in God's eyes. We didn't have a chaperone either but we had mutual respect and trusted each other and the Lord not to act inappropriately. What I would say to Michelle is let Jill and Derick hug each other anyway they want to.

  16. Jill and Jessa are some of the most beautiful woman in the world (as are Jinger, Jana, Joy-Anna, Michelle, Amy, and Grandma!) and it just keeps shining through as they each fall deeper in love with their man! Love it!! This is the best season ever and I wish it would go on forever! Love the Duggars to death...can't get enough of them. :) THANK YOU to whoever uploaded this episode because a lot of us including myself don't get cable! Thank you and I look forward to next week's episode! (Oh yeah...only two more days! Woohoo!)

Thank you Lily & Ellie for the best blog ever!!!! :)

  17. Where is John David and Josiah? Has John David moved out?

  18. Just like Jim Bob made a call to his family to ask for prayer when Michelle was in distress I think people who love Jessa and really truly want God's will for her in her life should pray that only God's will be done in her life. Not my will, but thy will be done, God's Kingdom come, God's Will Be Done...on earth as it is in Heaven. Are we really Christian, Born Again, of Water and of Spirit, then we should spend some of our time praying for Jessa.

  19. What religion is Jesus, He said "I am the way and the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father but by me" + Jesus + is the religion.

  20. Poor little Jenny doesn't want to see her Jill go. That's kind of sad for her. And I do want to be happy for Jessa and Ben, but they both seem really uncomfortable around each other. I think Ben likes Jessa because she is so pretty, but they don't seem to match personality-wise. Hopefully that improves!

  21. Good luck to them; I hope they will stay happy together. The Duggars really need to lighten up on things and let their adult children live..Do they think that Derick's mother is sinful because she works outside the home, wears pants and has a becoming shorter hairdo? Their earlier interviews indicate that they saw these things as not being God's will and therefore sinful. They are unnecessarily severe. IMO

  22. Josiah is away at ALERT, a much longer stay then Joseph had. John David, I;m glad he is not on every trip and event these days. He is 24 and has work. It is not realistic that a 24 year old can run a business and be involved in fire & rescue and be some sort of constable? and travel to every rally , book signing and episode. The Duggars can't think all 19 kids will be able to appear all the time now that 7-8 are adults. I know the Duggars are very close and keep the kids living at home, but the few freedoms they get, Jill's midwife deliveries, JD's towing, these adults should be able persue these areas to the fulliest.

  23. Derick's mother has a college degree, a masters degree and a real job outside the home for a real corporation. According to the Duggars past statements, they would view this life as being sinful. How is Derick's mother's life sinful? If they don't view it as such, why, then have they prohibited their own children from Josh on down to Josiah from pursuing a college degree in the real world. Didn't Josh used to say that he wanted to be a lawyer? What happened to that? They claim how great their homeschool curriculum is, I'm sure with an opinion like that, Josh would have made it in a real college...Makes you think, doesn't it. I'm sure there will be no interaction between families after the wedding. They have absolutely nothing in common with real people; Derick's parents are lightyears ahead of Jim Bob and Michelle on current events, and intellect, IMO, they have sheltered themselves and have only studied, read or viewed Gothard approved media.
We heard from Ben's parents right away about what a "treasure" Jessa was and they fell all over her and the whole clan. We haven't heard one syllable from Derick's family. (Not a good sign IMO)

  26. Actually Michelle points out in her book that the proverbs 31 woman works and earns money and that she helps Jim Bob in his business dealings. She also writes how grateful she is to all of the working women she comes into contact with, including Josie's doctors and nurses, and also women in politics. As far as long hair, the Bible says it is a woman's glory, but th e Duggars do not consider it a sin to cut it. Same with wearing pants, it's an Old Testament law but one they choose to follow. They do not sit around condemning people for these things and calling them sinful, they're too busy serving others and each other!

  27. Joseph should have left Ben alone. He was helping Jessa. I think he acted odd. Kind of like " You silly guy, she will be here later." It's almost like the Duggar boys have to make the girls boyfriends prove themselves. Which is crazy. I hope when Joseph gets around to courting the girls brothers give him a hard time like he does to Ben.

  28. I think it is sad that Jill and Derrick were made to feel guilty that they hugged at the airport. They are over 21, and a young couple in love. Missing anyone for two months calls for a full hug, not the fake side-hugs that they proclaim to always use. That made me cringe just to hear Michelle say "I'm sure it won't happen again!". I don't understand their philosophy at all.

  29. John 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

    Amen

  30. I teared up during the dinner theater, what a beautiful surprise for their parents!!! I was wondering if anyone in NW Arkansas knows where they went to the Etiquette Dinner? Was it Miss Jan's in Springdale? I would dearly love to take my husband
