Beautiful Girls Retreat

Earlier this year, Jim Bob, Michelle, Jana, Jill, Jessa, and Jinger Duggar spoke at the NWA Beautiful Girls Retreat, a local event for girls in fifth grade through college. The retreat seeks to teach young women about friendships, purity, and self-worth and encourages girls to use the spiritual gifts and talents God has blessed them with.

Scroll down to see photos from the retreat. If you are interested in attending a NWA Beautiful Girls event, visit the organization's website. There is a retreat going on this weekend, but the Duggars are not scheduled to speak.

  2. I love Michelle's hair curled like that, instead of straight. :) Such an inspiration to all of us, the Duggars are. Very human, yes of course, but human in Christ. You are loved & prayed for, Duggar Family. Most sincerely~ Andrea

  5. As more comes out about the Bill Gothard, Doug Phillips, Michelle's eating disorder, the girl's book, etc., it seems this cult is overly interested in the female body and the three-letter S-word than most American people are. I didn't say anything in poor taste, etc. It is the truth. This family and their leaders seem to focus a whole, whole, whole lot on the female body and three-letter S word. Are they going to do a "handsome boys retreat"? What is the word the boy's yell at the girls that equals their "Nike" yell at the boys? The more I read out here, the more disgusting it gets that women are just put on this earth to be in control of men. Please remember that Adam could have said "no", just as well as Eve.

  6. Your own story rewritten by me. Later this year, Jim Bob and Michelle and the four eldest male Duggar's will speak at the NWA Beautiful Boys Retreat, a local event for boys in fifth grade through college. The retreat seeks to teach young men about friendships, purity, and self-worth and encourages men to use the spiritual gifts and talents God has blessed them with.

  8. I love those older Duggar girls. Sometimes I wonder how JoyAnna feels--if she might feel left out. I mean, she is definitely old enough to be attending and speaking with them.

  9. They are pretty girls. Jessa would be even prettier without the orange self-tan, though.

  10. Totally off topic but what is the Duggar's reaction to the information finally coming about Bill Gothard the man who they and other big families praised so highly?

To be very honest, you probably will never see any sort of statement on it. I think the Duggars (and the Bates) will keep very quiet on the matter until charges are formally laid and things have been proven in court, and even then I highly doubt that they would ever talk about it. Remember that most people will presume that he is innocent until proven guilty, even with a mountain of evidence showing otherwise.

    You mean Jinger, right?

  13. Listen the Duggars are NOT a cult so please do not call them that. The only thing different about them is they have a lot of children. I practice all their beliefs. OK! God made everyone different.

  14. Love you guys! God has blessed you beyond measure. Question: Is Jim Bob really tall, our is Michelle just petite? I have been watching since day one but never noticed the difference. Just curious.

  16. @samantha scharfThat lady with the red hair is Elizabeth Bramel. Together with her husband Phil, she started Momentum Ministries, a youth organization that pours into area youth through Bible Studies, fun activities (such as the Beautiful Girls Retreat), and most importantly, by showering each one with the love of Christ. The Bramels do not judge, but meet each individual where they, and help grow them, using the gifts and talents their God given talents, into young people with a passion for Christ. Momentum's youth group is so very different from a typical church youth group. Each individual is valued, not only by the Bramels, but by their peers. They really take the time to get to know each kid, and what makes them unique, establishing a real relationship with them. The youth are encouraged to become leaders within the group, leading Bible Studies and mentoring others, which in turn, empowers them to become confident leaders within their communities. The Bramels are truly a remarkable couple, that selflessly pour their time, resources, and the love of Christ into the young people of NW Arkansas every day. I am so thankful that God has blessed this community with the Bramels. To learn more: http://www.nwamomentum.org/
