  11. HI Lily and Ellie,
What a great photo. Josie looks great.
Because of this blog have you been able to meet the Duggars personally and get to know them?

  12. Can somebody please tell me what Velveeta cheese is please? I am in England, so will probably have to find an equivelant one here. I have tried this recipe once before but on Josh and Anna's website, the recipe is slightly different. Thank you for posting this. BTW Josie is so beautiful. She looks just like Joy Anna

  13. Looks like my little boy after playing outside. No make up involved. What a sweet little thing she is!

  14. Anonymous...are you kidding me?!?! She is not wearing blush or lipstick!! Have you stopped to think that it's summertime and her cheeks are maybe rosey from being out in the sun. Really! She is adorable!

    Hi Sarah D,

Velveeta is a brand of processed cheese. http://www.kraftfoodscompany.com/brands/largest-brands/brands-v/velveeta.aspx

    Thanks for reading!

  19. What a great picture! Josie is truly a miracle.Who would have thought that such a tiny little thing could be this beautiful bundle of energy?
    Thank you Jesus!!

  20. Velveeta is pretty much the same as "American" cheese which is an unripened yellow cheese. I'm not sure if/what equivalent there would be in Great Britain.

Josie looks healthy and sweet and I certainly don't see evidence of make-up! I have seen her look happier though.

  21. Hi lily and Ellie

I just wanted to know,if you were good friends with the duggars? Please answer!

  22. Hi Sarah D!

I think if you try using a mild cheddar cheese you'll come close to the same flavor.

  23. Lily and Ellie do the duggars ever comment on the site? also where did you get the picture of josie and with the blog from? thanks a lot for reading and answering.

  28. Josie is so cute and such a trooper! My brother had troubles hitting all of his milestones because he was born a few months to early and he is doing great! I hope the best for Josie and the Duggar family!

  29. I love them since they first aired in 2003...I have called and talked to Jim Bob in 2005 or 2006. He was taking a few boys out to celebrate 1 of the boys birthday..I was so shocked I cannot remember whcih one. I thought I would get a recording. lol I have been to Springdale 2 times just hoping and praying to run into them and drove by where they live. Not a stalker just a serious fan. I pray to meet them someday. I only live just about 45 min from Big Sandy where their conference is.

  30. she is a miracle like our first grandson...he was born 09-12-2009. He was in NIC unit from 7wks. to 13wks... Praise God almighty he lived and Josie is a miracle too.

  31. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HARD WORK. GOD BLESS YOU!

  32. I can't believe the people that leave comments that say Josie is wearing make-up or has a mental disability. If you have seen an episode of 19 Kids and Counting from last season you would see how amazingly smart Josie is. Michelle has even taught her some sign language. She is a Miracle !!

  33. @Anonymous

The Duggars do have their own garden, which they use to grow vegetables, such as cucumbers. It has been mentioned more than once on their shows and in Michelle's blogs.

  34. To be the youngest Duggar child I would have thought she'd get more attention than the other children. Like down here in VA it doesn't matter how old the youngest child is from 1 to 11 they always get more of the attention than their brothers and sisters.

  35. wow she has gotten so big! she looks like her momma

  36. She looks like Jackson in the face. What a cutie.

Velveeta is sort of like American cheese slices, if you have those in England. It's kind of a soft, blend of mild cheeses and it melts easily and evenly in the microwave. Hope that helps!

  39. My Nephew was born about as early as Josie and he's on the smaller side but he was able to keep up with going to school and entering sports and everything. We have to keep strong perfumes and scents and ozone etc away from him, which is fine because I have the same sensitivities he does from a chemical exposure.

Hope they show more about how Josie is doing so that people like my sister, who could have really used this kind of information when it happened to her, can be comforted to know how it all works out in the end. She felt so badly when she almost lost him, I'm so glad her next baby was so strong and came when she was due.

Let me say also - my little nephew is maybe the most loving and compassionate big brothers you'd ever meet. Sometimes I think when they go through something so challenging to stay alive, it makes them all the more amazing as long as the family doesn't treat them like they're not normal. (If they are given understanding because they're a little slower to learn or catch up that's fine, but don't let them think they don't have the same behavioral expectations etc.)

    Hey i have a J name a lot like Joy Anna's, I could be a "Duggar for a day!"
    Blessings! Joy

  40. I'm so thankful little Josie is doing so well. So what if her little tiny feet show she has been a busy little toddler. Thank God she can walk and get them dirty. Kids are supposed to get dirty. I don't understand why people want to post negative comments about this family they are wonderful and a blessing. Thank you KB Alabama

Obviously if there are 21 people living in the house!

  43. I just made this recipe and loved it. I used less crescent rolls, 2 packs, and used med. cheddar and swiss ...added a little extra to the chicken.
cooked it 15 minutes more. It has to be bubbling and the top puffed up and brown.
For adults, you can add a can of chilis, a little chili powder about 1/4 c. of salsa to spice it up a little. For kids, the recipe is perfect as is.

  44. Cute! Josie is an adorable busy body! I love her little dress!

  45. @AnonymousWhat is her diagnosis?? It's obvious that she has some delays. I have a special needs child myself and some of her odd behavior/coping mechanisms look very familiar to me.

  46. She is premature, it takes al least four years to catch up. So in time everything will probebly be ok. And to me she seems to be a perfect little girl, glad she is well after such a difficult start. greetings from Margit in the Netherlands

I'm sure that's not makeup... By the looks of her feet she was probably playing outside and has rosie cheeks and lips from that. My kids look like that all the time!

I can't believe some of you are posting comments about Josie's feet appearing dirty and thinking she might be wearing makeup (and then being so cowardly as to identify yourselves as "anononymous". I couldn't imagine living under a microscope as the Duggar's do. Josie looks like a healthy, happy kid that's been running around in a house thats occupied by 20 plus kids plus a camera crew. They have to have a strong faith to put up these insults.

  52. I really enjoy your family and your show on t.v. Your children are so well behaved and so adorable. Josie is a bright little girl. I am amazed at how well she speaks for her age. I hope you stay on t.v. for a long time. Jim Bob and Michelle have done such wonderful job of raising these children. My best wishes to all of you.

  53. What a Precious Angel God has Gifted this Magnificent Family!!! You go Josie!!!

  54. Um, just to clear it up, Josie does not have a mental disability. Do not know why people always seem to think that... If you ever watched their show and saw her, you would know. She can talk just good as any other 3 year old on the planet! And she's really funny! :-) -R.

  55. And P.S.
What child who lives on 20 acres of undeveloped land has clean feet in the summer??? ;)

  56. First of all I wanted to tell the Duggars I just LOVE them very much. I love what you stand for. We have a lot of the same Christian values. My husband is a Pastor of a little church and we try to live as close to the bible as we can(with a lot of failure) but I am glad that we serve a forgiving and loving God. I think I have seen every episode that you have. I would LOVE to meet your family someday. We live in Ohio. We have raised 6 children and I admire you guys so much. May God Bless you as you continue to serve him. Jeannie

  61. @Sarah Dit's basically a processed cheese that has a soft malleable consistency, and when melted is creamier than regular cheese.

    ReplyDelete
  62. @Taylorprobably from running around outside without shoes on. Not sure I'd want those adorable little toes near where I was cooking though lol.

    ReplyDelete
  63. @Anonymousother than being smaller, there is absolutely nothing wrong with Josie. There is no "diagnosis", people need to stop with the rumors and just be thankful she's as healthy and happy as she is.

    ReplyDelete
  64. @Anonymousthey wear "wholesome wear", their versions of swim suits. The boys I believe wear something similar to scuba outfits, at least that's what they look like.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Josie is sooo smart, I would say that she is even advanced for her age, she got so much stimulation from the get go, some poor kids go their whole lifetime and not get as much love and attention than her. Her rosie cheeks are a sign of health and as for her dirty feet, well I remember when I was little running around barefoot that is what our feet looked like every night, that is what baths are for.You better believe that the neat and clean Duggar clan will make sure she's all clean and tidy before bed.We love you sweet Josie!
