Michelle on Cravings

Pregnancy cravings. They can be as ordinary as strawberries, bagels, or chocolate and as off-the-wall as egg roles, gummy bears, or, yes, even toothpaste. I even heard of a woman who craves the taste of baby powder. I'm actually jealous of the one. If you were ever in an awkward conversation, it would be a great icebreaker. "My name is Jane, and I crave baby powder."
But back to the Duggars.....
So what does Michelle Duggar crave when she's pregnant?

"It's always pickles or lemons," the mom of 19 told TLC, "things that are sour or salty." So craving pickles isn't just an old wives tale. You've heard it right from Michelle Duggar, Baby Expert.

What do you crave?

  1. For my first pregnancy, it was lemons, all the way! This time around, I'm still fighting through being averse to pretty much everything, but I'm looking forward to some chocolate ice cream!

  4. I craved dairy. I could drink milk by the gallon, even a glass of warm milk with no chocolate. Every meal was covered in cheese, every snack was yogurt, and every dessert was ice cream. I couldn't sleep through the night without a huge glass of chocolate milk. When you add all that to the calcium in my prenatal vitamin and all of the Tums I was chewing for heartburn, I had to make some changes so I didn't get a calcium overdose! I switched to acid-reducers for the heartburn and limited myself to 3-4 dairy servings a day.

  6. My mom craved potatoes and she ate them with everything
Back in Mexico, we cook potatoes and put hot sauce and lemon juice on them. They are delicious but because my mom couldn't eat spicy stuff while she was pregnant, she just ate them with the lemon juice but they are still good like that

  11. I craved V8 Juice, macadamia nuts, and chunk cheddar cheeses during my first pregnancy. But it was what I couldn't eat during all 3 of mine that got me. In my first I detested fries, pizza, any melted cheeses, greasy foods or anything related. During my second I was disgusted by tortilla chips of any type or flavor & the nacho cheese sauce, just the look made me gag, also broccoli. I ate broccoli literally every day but as soon as I got pregnant, I couldn't even smell it. And in my third was basically the same things disgusted me but not as badly, but the first times I truly craved things were kids cereals{Fruity and Cocoa Pebbles, Lucky Charms..etc..}, and candy, especially jelly beans.
