Josie Brooklyn Duggar's TV Debut!

Hot off the press! Josie Brooklyn Duggar made her TV debut on the first episode of 19 Kids and Counting! "Special Duggar Delivery"...

The past several weeks have been an emotional roller coaster for the Duggar family, and fans across the globe have been anxious to hear from them. In early December, Michelle Duggar visited the emergency room for a kidney pain and was quickly airlifted to UAMS in Little Rock. Several days later, after her condition seemed to be improving, Michelle's blood pressure skyrocketed to 200, and she was diagnosed with preeclampsia.

The doctors made the tough decision to deliver baby Josie almost 4 months early! Seconds after her birth, Josie Brooklyn, weighing a mere 1 pound 6 ounces, was whisked away. "Her head is the size of a pool ball," Jim Bob told his wife, "but she is beautiful." Josie's siblings were filled with awe when they met their newest sister days later. All were amazed that life can be sustained at such a young, young age. Tune into TLC on Tuesday night at 9/8 Central for "Josie Duggar's First Christmas!"

Feel free to share your preemie stories to encourage others who are walking down this road, and stay tuned for more information on baby Josie!

  3. I was born at 7 months in the late sixties. The doctors gave me 0 percent chance for survival. The Catholic nun nurses called me God's little Angel because they thought I was going home to him soon. I am now 43 and the mother of 2 sons. I have no significant health problems. If I can overcome those odds with God's help, then there is always hope. By the way, the nickname stuck and I am still called Angel by everyone. Never believe the numbers, just keep hoping and praying. Miracles might be rare but they still happen all around us.

  5. My sister was a little over 2 lbs. We all always catered to her all of her life and never thought anything about it as she was our miracle baby. Sadly she turned out to be so spoiled that she believed she was above everyone else and entitled to everything. I am heartsick about the way she ripped off our mom, leaving her in a bind....and our mom didn't want to rat her out. Please ALWAYS treat all the kids the same so a premie doesn't feel a sense of entitlement.
